Well Mr Johnny, that was quite the journey you took us on. I just found your channel today searching for fretless conversions. I liked your style and work immediately and subbed, but then I decided to click on this so called "super bass" thing and figured I may as well start at the beginning...And here I am hours later and very impressed indeed. She's a masterpiece mate, really beautiful. A bass player's wet dream and ultimate weapon. And I imagine quite a back breaker, or what I call a chair bass. Endless respect for the dedication and creativity. Great job sir.
Wow! I have to say thank you for putting yourself through that, but I'm glad you liked it. Yes the bass is not on the light side but that was to be expected, surprisingly though it's not as heavy as I thought it was going to be. I love your term "chair bass" because that's exactly what it is. Thanks again for the comment, it definitely put a smile on my face.
Incredible build I knew your approach to this build created awesome clear tone . Taking an overkill approach that is electronically clear with tremendous sustain because you knew it would be priceless. All the success and don't stop making top playability in your builds
Sounds freaking amazing brah! Congrats on having your dream bass! If you don't mind me asking, how much does it weigh?? And would you build 1 for a customer?? I'd gladly endorse for you, but alas we are just a working cover band, and not a signed contracted artist. We are a very good cover band but we don't do originals.
Thank you, it's not as heavy as I thought it was going to be, but the body is much smaller than a Fender p bass body. I don't gig anymore and being a total experiment I didn't care how heavy it ended up being. I don't have a dead on accurate scale but it does weigh more than my Squier bass to give you an idea. I can definitely build you one, or one to your specifications, the weigh can be reduced without drastically changing the sound, I just overkilled the crap out of this thing.
Amazing! I can't wait to mod my knock-off Rickenbacker now!

Hey!!!! Super, big sound, congratulations from Brazil, the bridge was beautifull, ultra high mass!!! What name will he give, I suggest blade runner!
Cool name but it will always be the Superbass to me, AKA the "dirty raspberry".
