  • It took some time but we're here fighting Penance, Final Fantasy X's 12 Million HP final Super Boss
There's really not much to say here as the run practically repeated the same moves over and over. You can take 2 possible strats depending on your armor set: one is to have Auto-Haste, Auto-Potion, Auto-Protect, and Def+20%, then the other one is to have Auto-Haste, Auto-Protect, Auto-Regen, and BHPL
I went with the second set with BHPL because I like high numbers. Either set can work but again I chose the BHPL not only because of the numbers but also because it goes a little bit faster since there is no Auto-Potion animation after Penance's attacks
The strat is practically the same with either set, and this is how it goes based on how I experienced it
    Phase 1
    - 255 Agi for the 3 characters you'll use so the sequence between each other is more organized (though I think it really doesn't matter lmao)
    - Bring in Auron for the First-Strike so you get 1 additional turn
    - Swap in your last character to complete the 3 characters setup, usually Rikku (for Mix), Wakka and Tidus (for Counter from their Celestial Weapons)
    - Only use [Quick-Hit]
    - Hit the Left-Arm 5 Times (499,995 total damage out 500k hp), then [Use] a damaging item that deals damage to all to finish the Left-Arm and also deal chip damage to the Right-Arm
    - If not using BHPL, be sure to have Rikku [Mix] Ultra NulAll (2 healing springs) BEFORE the main body's turn so you survive Penance's Obliteration
    - Since the Right-Arm received chip damage, it will only need 5 hits for it to die, however, ONLY destroy the Right-Arm the turn BEFORE it acts to maximize the time between the regeneration of both arms
    - While both hands are destroyed, take this time to [Use] Three-Stars so that your party gets zero MP cost
    - And since both hands are destroyed, [Quick-Hit] the body until the Left-Arm regenerates
    - When the Left-Arm regenerates, hit it 5 times again, HOWEVER do not [Use] any damaging item to finish it yet, wait for the Right-Arm to regenerate
    - Before the Left-Arm gets a turn, the Right-Arm most likely regenerates
    - When both arms are present, only [Use] a damaging item to destroy the Left-Arm right before it takes a turn so the Right-Arm also takes the chip damage
    - When the Left-Arm is destroyed, go hit the Right-Arm 4 (FOUR) times only, and hit it for the 5th (FIFTH) time ONLY BEFORE it takes a turn
    - Quick-Hit the body whenever you're not hitting any arm
    - Keep doing this this until you enter Phase 2
Phase 1 TL;DR - Quick-Hit only, Ultra NulAll (if not BHPL), 5hits the Left-Arm, Grenade, 4hits the Right-Arm, keep hitting the body, hit the Right-Arm 1turn before it takes a turn. When the Left-Arm regenerates hit it 5times but only use Grenade when the Right-Arm regenerates
    Phase 2
    - Practically the same strat in Phase 1 BUT be sure to not let Penance take a turn while both Arms are present as it will use Judgment Day which, as far as I'm aware of, is an instant Game Over
    - If not both Arms are present, Penance only uses Immolation which only targets 1 character
    - Immediately use Dispel on whomever Immolation targetted to remove the Breaks debuff
    - and that's practically it
And with that, I can finally shelve Final Fantasy X
