Sharon's highs are unreal. That fluty, bird-like tone..
Whenever I see Sharon/Within Temptation live, I am spellbound. Her voice lets you forget everything, it makes you fly, floades you with pure happiness. She is absolutely stunning.
I always thought recordings of WT live doesn’t do her voice justice. Her voice is just more enchanting in person imo.
She just is a miracle of nature, so good!!!🤘

This one is good as it is kind of like a semi ballad... But for power, I like the song ""tell me why"" on HYDRA

First time my freind suggested me to listen Within Temptation, already passed 20 years,becoming older when lisning songs still 17;))))
That Sharon has no, none, zip and zero training. 100% natural talent is shocking!! You can't tell.
Sharon has years of training with Gea Gijsbertsen after first WT album.

Love your commentary and analysis of Sharon's beautiful voice and the techniques she uses throughout these various performances. Damn good for an untrained voice. I find a beautiful vulnerability in her breathy head voice tone and a very crying desperate tone to her belting vocals. Definitely one of my favorite female vocalist along with Floor and Anneke.
My other favorite female vocalist is Marcela Bovio. You have heard her in several of Arjen's creations. However, I think you would enjoy hearing her in a lead vocal setting. Unfortunately her bands, some created by Arjen have never gotten the attention they deserved and did not have the monetary funds to do high quality live recordings. Simple recommendation “Black Symphony” recording of the live concert with the Metropole Orchestra and choir.
Definitely my favorite concert of all time choir Orchestra the choreography everything was perfect and she was very ill during that concert😲

@6:40 so true! I remember when they did promo for the album The Heart of Everything and they said Sharon was gonna show that she had way more range than we’d ever thought and they were not lying. That album was the album that kicked off their experimenting more, at the same time I’d say it’s the most symphonic out of all of their albums. Still my favorite of theirs and one of my all time favorite albums (this song is from Hydra though).

About the end, I’ve been a fan of theirs since 2004 and I actually love that they’ve changed it up. You never know what youre going to get honestly. Although Hydra is probably my least favorite album of theirs this is actually one of my favorite songs 😅 I hope you do get to see them, theyre just amazing live.

Not 100% sure but iirc she said in an interview that she can't even read notes or play an instrument. She just sings.

I saw them in Montreal for the unforgiving tour and I saw them and Worchester, Massachusetts for hydra Tour... Hugs and pick both times after show.... Now they're coming here and going with iron maiden or something and the tickets are over $600..... How fortunately I am out... No hugs for me.

Amazing you yanks found out that we Dutch exist well well wellllllllllllllllllllllll isn't that something ! We got the biggest EDM scene in the ENTIRE world with Q-dance known all over the world not on youtube though only 7 reactions to it..... Yep google is messing with us !!!!! We got the greatest technicians in the world we got the best lyrics AND bands !!! Remember we only have 18 million people to choose from not the 328 million you got..........and here is yankee boy....... in 2022 oh look at that...... there is something they call euh euh euh euhhhhhhh The Netherlands...... wauw you yanks...... what to do with you sad people..... what to do with you.............. pffffffffffff what to do with you yanks......
