@@dylonvr9595 I make decisions based on the TTK then i go look at the best guns, and then i decide which i can handle. So you first look at the best stats and then which weapon you can handle the best. Cause otherwise you don't die when you had a chance to win.

I wonder this too - it could well be that these wz specific range values came in with the cw integration - most of the time top players figure out the best weapons by feel, and it seems unlikely to me that something like the AN94 has actually been strong at range all along.. anyone who tried it when it came out in season 4 knows it hit like a wet noodle at range
I've been playing with the ram and would say that it feels the same as before the cw integration, so I would guess that these values were there before this new season

@@domzaeWoW The kilo had its warzone range removed with the integration, so it means these bonuses were here before the integration.
I’m sure it’s changed. We know the grau and bruen had significant nerfs at one point yet they now have super low ttks at range. They were always range weapons so there’s no way everyone switches from grau meta to bruen to kilo just because a patch note said they nerfed something. Im sure back when the SPR and AS VAL were added (the beginning of the battle pass weapons being op) they decided to start shadow buffing other weapons to help balance. Especially with the new Cold War weapons that are super strong and haven’t been tuned yet.
The devs must have been laughing at us for getting stats wrong for such a long time

Its so weird they don't show accurate data on any of their official sites/game numbers. And they constantly change stats all the time, its almost as if they don't tell cause they're too lazy to.
Im lauging cause the devs have messed up stats on guns from the git go then they have to nerf them to try and balance the gun and its non usable . Just look at the dmr 2 shot kill shoulda been nerfed a week ago.

Raven is in charge of warzone, infinity ward and treyarch supply the assets and animations and the game design and balance aspect of warzone and its modes is done by Raven.

I have windows 10 professional but Microsoft was giving me a hard time about using the license since its been 5 or so years since I used it last and it's on a dead pc that I was never able to deactivate. I even tried using my a bought store copy(140$ last year) I had on an extra laptop after deactivating and windows customer service wouldn't let me. So I don't feel guilty at all for getting a key for cheap. Fuck em.
@@natel7382 you can remove the watermark and have all the features of windows 10 pro (including personalising colours, backgrounds, etc.) for free. I have done it and it has worked a charm for this PC I've had for 2 years now

@@timwillems1985 long barrels give recoil Control and bullet velocity, which actually affects practical ttk. In theory, the AS VAL has the Best ttk at all ranges, but you can't hit anyone from far, due to the awful bullet velocity.
I don’t want to brag, but based on how they felt I did prefer and used the AMAX, the AN-94 and P90 (at range, paired with a sniper) for a while ! I’m no genius, I just wanted to avoid the meta and those felt great somehow. Now I get why.
Changing the meta ? I don’t know but widening the diversity of weapons on the battlefield? That’s all I hope for
I'm glad to see some of the less popular weapons come up in this testing, such as the FAL and M91.
P90 always felt great- I just wish the rate of fire matched the mp7. Personally that's my only gripe
@@nickmclean4004 yeah the recoil, the ads and the clip size are very satisfying but the only thing that could make it a bit better is the rate of fire
All three of these guns were always solid, maybe not the best, but definitely usable. The AMAX with only one drop off definitely just jumped to the top of the list tho 🤯

Imagine if the devs put out a note that simply said: “damage profiles for weapons are different between WarZone and multiplayer”...I get they prob have staffing issues and timelines but seems important and relatively easy

This was the type of meta mixup we needed, when they actually nerf some of the CW weps, even though it will probably go back to old metas of grau, bruen, m4 etc. Will try out AN-94, cause that looks interesting now. Wonder if attachments have WZ specific stats too.

I always liked the AN 94. The electra ground loot, shreds. Never understood why streamers said it sucks.
I was never was a sheep meta player. So I would guns like P90, M91 AN94, RAM, ISO.
Man makes so much sense why the AN floor loot was ripping at long ranges. Glad you discovered this keep up the great work! This potential meta could make for some varied and fun gun fights
The funny part about this is that this has all been the case for the whole life cycle of the game, so I guess people just trust the stats a bit too much as opposed to how guns feel. Probably won’t change the meta too much, but might make some people willing to use some other guns so I see it as a positive.
I haven't played since Season 6 and my favorite load out then was Spr and AN-94.
I did play wayyyyy more plunder and that was fun. BR, I'd always get spanked so I haven't played that in ages.

The old data was mostly correct, the kilo was the better ar when considering ttk and recoil, the thing is that it has changed and now others ar's are viable.

Are you going to test out the CW weapons too. Because the FFAR absolutely destroys in warzone right now.
I was bitching about the Mac10 until i managed to control the recoil on the ffar up to at over 60 meters while kitting it up as a short range gun, treat it as any type of gun and it works perfectly, except against the DMR....
My biggest issue with the FFAR is you basically get one down before having to reload in the base mag. Its got a quick TTK but it eats through its ammo to do so. You need extended mags if you want to down and kill someone without having to reload most of the time. Its a decent gun, but wouldnt be my first pick
FFAR is basically a tiny better RAM. It has improvements that the RAM doesn't have at all.
@@experiencedyeeter1200 the only thinner that works against a dmr is a sniper because of the one shot headshot and the good thing is that you can run the ffar with a sniper

If there is only one damage drop off, wouldn't that make things like the light weight suppressor and stuff more viable too now that you don't have to worry about the really low damage ranges? If I could swap a monolithic or a long barrel with it only hurting my damage once and barely, I feel like id be more likely to do that and try different barrels for ADS speed or something.
Monolithic/Agency gives 25% + Bullet Velocity but it's not stated. So it is still the suppressor to use due to being able to give that speed the bullets need to get on target easier.
You also have to consider that the Monolithic Suppressor also increases bullet velocity considerably, while the Lightweight Suppressor decreases it.
If you are using a sniper or any marksman rifle for long range then you only need to kit your AR to be effective up to 50 meters. When I started doing this it changed everything. Iron sights only, anything with movement speed and aim control most beneficial. I have been destroying people with M4 with mono suppressor, no barrel or commando barrel, and tac laser. You can kit any AR this way and often win fights against the Meta players running optics for range because you sniper them and still compete with SMGs because of your quick movement and have fast ADS.
Why use an AR that is competitive only up to 50 meters?
1. Most fights occur in this range whether intentional or unintentional.
2. If your going to use an optic because the target is far away then a marksman rifle or sniper rifle kills faster in most cases.
Personally, I will never use an AR for anything beyond about 50 meters ever again. This is how I see the ranges for the different classes now:
1. Pistol/Shotty: CQB indoors to 5 meters.
2. SMG: Same as above and outdoors but up to 20 meters.
3. AR: outdoors up to 50 - 70 meters effectively.
4. Marksman: 50 - 100 meters effectively.
5. Sniper: 75 meters + (effectively)
People do not understand that just because WZ is huge does not change the ranges in which people "effectively" combat each other. It is safe to say about 90% or more of all combat occurs within 100 meters! The other 10% is done with sniper optics and rifles.

Awesome work! While everyone I know was trashing the AN-94, I used to tell them I don't see/feel what they talk about, because I'll still have pretty decent games with it. Same for the Holger and m91. This video definitely proves that. Again, awesome work!

Funny this video came along, I was just testing out a long range Bruen build in Plunder and I was doing surprisingly well against DMR abusers. Not only does it have that slick damage profile, it is also a freaking laser beam with commando foregrip, mono, and long barrel. I was running VLK and 200 round mag on it. What is really oppressive about the DMR's aside from the damage, is how accurately they can beam you from range nonstop. The Bruen in this sense is even more oppressive, as you can hose people down with laser accurate fire for essentially as long as you want. Gives the meta clowns out there a nice taste of their own medicine without abusing the DMR back.
Very nice find about the AN-94. I'll have to try it out again.

The private lobby full of testers was surprisingly pleasant to watch lol. Crazy find, but definitely explains why I found some guns (AN94 in particular) to feel more reliable at range in WZ than in MP; I thought it was just an expectation bias with the higher health, but it's nice to see that wasn't the case.
So, is there any point now of putting longer barrels on guns, since most drop offs are the same?
For bullet velocity and to push the first damage range out farther.
Also recoil control on a lot of them as well, super important for long range beaming
