I find one of the most valuable aspects of this stove is that it will burn marginal material or extremely wet material no problem. I grilled some steaks last night and it was quite chilly. I whipped out my BRS 116 for a quick comfort fire. I have a pile of Oak and Pecan branches in my backyard, it had just rained 6"/15CM the night before and the wood was fully saturated, and some of it was a bit green. With nothing but a cotton/petroleum ball I had a lovely flame in no time, and with no smoke! You can go from a petite flame to F-16 engine glowing red hot (no joke) at the flip of a switch. When using wood pellets you can get pure blue flame. After trying out about 10 stoves, this one is the keeper. It's a heavy-duty stove that's light in weight! I love my BRS 116, thank you for a proper video!
I've mastered mine. As soon as you get it going with small twigs I switch right to the largest pieces I can fit in. A little less labour and a large chunk will burn for quit a while.
The fact it can run on solar is a major bonus and it looks like a cracking piece of kit. I may even have one of these in the deepest reaches of my outdoor gear shed as I bough t a job lot of stuff on ebay and there may well have been one of these stoves in it. Off to he shed now.....
This demo is fabulous thanks so much for doing it. I just bought one and then I thought I better see if others found it a good cooking device. I am so relieved and very excited to get it in the mail.
Just to update have now received my stove have to say very tidy little stove for the price. I also have a solar battery which it runs off. I managed to even get it to burn really well in the hail rain we had the other day. I was thinking mini wood pellets might be good fuel.
I like it but looks a little bulky for my needs. I'm heading out to India in a couple months solo camping with all the kit that requires and think this might be a bit much to carry round. Any thoughts? What is the weight? More inclinded toward a Lixada for packability but apprecaite the additional hassle with that, then some might say why not just find a couple of rocks?
Hi Manmass, I wouldn't take this on the type of long hiking trip you describe, although it is a very good, efficient stove to use and control the flame. The weight is 0.73kg, but the main downfall is that it is slightly more bulky than other stoves. If I have space in my pack, I take it to use for my morning coffee if I don't have a camp fire going. For a day hike it's just right as its fast and controllable. Hope this helps, All the best on you trip, Steve
Got a question can you put any stove cooker on top of the fan or is it has to be the one that comes with it? Cuz I have a stove cooker called Lixada wondering if it can fit on top of it.
Hi Jules, Its actually a clone of a Gerber knife, the Bear Grylls Ultimate Pro. But costs 1/2 the price and a very good knife. I do have a full review of it here: ruclips.net/video/RY6EqiMFK2w/видео.html Also; This is a link to where you can buy it: ruclips.net/user/redirect?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gearbest.com%2Ffixed-blades-knives%2Fpp_245322.html%3Flkid%3D13767883&v=RY6EqiMFK2w&event=video_description&redir_token=0xttaRXIaqccOALtVNbUMfODk4h8MTUyNjUzNjYyNkAxNTI2NDUwMjI2 Hope that's helpfull.. It does work well, no doubt about that. Uses a lot of fuel on full power, but give a instant very hot heat output. I tend to blast it for a bit to get it really going then just keep it on tick over, which is very quiet.
Definitely not...! This is a little beast - and far more controllable. I've compared it with my Bushcraft Essentials firebox and it beats it hands down for speed. However, I do still prefer my firebox for size, weight and compactness.!! Its a bit gimmicky, but a good little cooker if you have the space to fit it in your pack. All the best Steve

Yes it's definitely a good little stove. Takes all the hard work out of maintaining a good heat for cooking.
Thanks for your comments.

Definitely worth a look.!!!
Hope you find it..

Brilliant review! Undoubtedly need one!
for a second there i thought you'd found a miniature thermoelectric generating burner like the BioLite.. still pretty cool though
looks a good bit of kit, thanks for the review

Awesome just ordered one. thanks.
It's a very handy stove.
Ive used it quite a few times now and it's always performed well.

This is a very good video mate... well presented.
Thank you - it's a good little stove.

love the look of this thanks for sharing great review. ATB Mac.
Thanks Mac,
It's an impressive camp stove, I like the control you have.

I dont think so.
The whole unit is designed to fit together as one.
What is the knife on the table???

Looks like it works well... but too noisy for me!

can this use for charging mobile phone or battery ? what is the out put rate ?
It is not a charger.
You need a battery or a power pack to work the fan.
gooooooood video :D
i think i'll stick to my "Hobo" stove thanks very much.
it cost me 50p-for the tin!!
Nothing wrong with that Paul..
I've got the Bushbox and a Solo Stove I often use as well.
Anythings better than nothing eh...
keep it simple is my motto!! keep up the good work.
Only issue relying on tech. Battery runs out fire goes out. LoL
the firebox is quicker
Definitely not...!
