Hey friends, So glad you could join us as we explore the theory of logopraxis with our special guest David Millar. We thrive on your participation so please share your thoughts and comments while you watch. With love and wisdom - Curtis, Jonathan, and team
You spoke about needing an external source of wisdom to have revelation. I think watching these programs are a great way to trigger spiritual thoughts and revelation from the heaven side of our being. We experience Godly presence.
I'm so glad you feel that way, Bill! Our greatest hope is that these programs can help spark people's own deeper insights, and the feeling that God is present. God bless!
Hello guys. I have experienced all of this, and as always, can relate to everything said in OTLE. That's why I love it so much. Again, I think the Lord shows me this for a reason. He also shows me things that make me really heartbroken-sad, because he wants me to help with certain issues in the world. This subject is exactly what I need at the moment. The spiritual connection is really fullfilling, and the best thing in the world, but when the connection feels weaker because of stress, or emotional turmoil, it's like being in the pit. Once again though, I relate to everything OTLE covers through my own experiences. Always good to have OTLE. Having faith and a connection with the Lord really can be a lifeline even though it takes work, commitment...but you still know it's there.
Sunny Sim, we're blessed by your compassion and affection for learning spiritual concepts. I honor the struggle of feeling "disconnected" and am joyful that you're finding what you need via divine truth. May these principles serve you ever more deeply into the future, as you become a living testimony to the nature of love and wisdom. After all, this faith we develop is truly alive when it becomes an agent for positive change in the world, and within ourselves!
So glad to have you here, Crystal! Our dream come true is that viewers would find these ideas helpful and meaningful in their lives! Thanks for letting us know it's happening!
How the world would change rapidly if everyone had the same purpose: to love and take care of all of God's creations and increase the beauty, love, and wisdom on this earth. It has never really been about "us." It saddens me the ugliness around me. I live in a town of poverty where everything is neglected, and we see this all across the nation and world due to people not doing what they were put here to do. There are some beautiful places, pockets of heaven on earth. As God's Kingdom expands, the entire earth will be beautiful again. It takes us all working and serving God and each other. The worship of money hinders the process......this next year, I challenge everyone (myself included) to GIVE, GIVE, GIVE....in whatever way you can, even if you think you have nothing to give.........and watch how that changes lives and the world. I do give regularly and plan to increase my giving (and it's not about money, but using our personal gifts God has given each of us).
What an inspirational message, Soferia! I feel moved by your encouragement to let charity unite humankind in a collective effort to create "heaven from the human race". Love it!
God is the word and he flows into us through thoughts and feelings and his presence in us we take action in wisdom love goodness and truth displaying the heavenly character. Thanks Curtis, Jonathan and David.
I Will do more and write seventy times times seven times everyday from within me. It is a great feeling seeking life through observation and devotion. Thank you very very much.I Loved It.
Listening to this video again this evening....what Curtis and Jonathan explain here is developing a routine for self-examination of our spiritual health. Our spiritual state of being spills into our physical well being. Yes, we must wrestle with the truth in order to gain understanding.
This has been a great show for me, for being instructive on Divine presence, and my responsibilities in that relationship. I watched some during work yesterday, some last night and the rest of the program this morning. Then I received my Thought of the Day from Edgar Cayce's foundation and guess what it said? " Use that in hand. Use what you have today. Then as it opens before you, other steps, other measures may be given to you ". A synchronicity of that same interaction you talked about on the show. I'm on the right track in my pursuits to be closer to my God. Thank you.
Ah, I love that, Mach1 GTX! I think I needed to hear that today (Melissa here). Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, and that beautiful synchronicity. Sounds like some love-filled truth to me! God bless!
My experience for many years was reading the Bible in accord with ideas dictated by teachers and preachers. I also read it like a marathon runner, not taking much time to absorb the message but get the stories covered, without understanding or feeling at one with the narrative. This program is very refreshing, since I've not had the heart to open the Bible for a long time, because of so many things that disturbed me, rather than encouraged me to move in step with it. It seems that your videos are doing the writing on my heart for this stage of my spiritual development. Thank you for your dedication and I also thank God for the lovingkindness that I'm able to receive and understand through this process!
Edie, I'm really touched by your message. I think many people can relate to having experienced many ineffective and frustrating ways of engaging with the Bible. I'm so glad that our shows are providing you with a new way to engage with ideas about God and life. We're happy to have you as a part of our audience, and honored to be on this spiritual journey with you!
Great stuff, Curtis, Dr. Rose and all the OTLE staff. Perfect viewing for a Thanksgiving afternoon, as always thought provoking and deeply meaningful. I am so grateful for all of you and the work you do producing this show.
Many thanks to you guys and your team. You give me so many things to think about. With all the work I put into the start of each day the immediate affects seem so minimal but over the long run I see tremendous change in myself. God bless everyone.
It is an incremental journey, ColoradoKen! Growth is happening! As Dr. Jonathan likes to say, God is playing the long game. We are getting to heaven one step at a time, with God's guidance and help along the way. Blessings to you, too, and thanks for being part of our community here!
thank you for sharing love this episode. I would like to share what I received after reading of Abraham being asked to offer his son Issac as a burnt offering. I never understood the msg. before, but on Sunday what I got was it means to let your sons, children go and make their own mistakes, trust the Lord and not be worried that they will die or that you will lose them, he will give them the lessons they need to grow and be mature. If we keep them and do for them they can not grow into maturity. So pushing them off on their own may feel like a death, but as you see a lamb comes forth for the offering because you let go so they could grow.
Seems like this type of thing might explain why it's such a common occurrence for people to feel as if a sermon was tailored specifically for them at that specific time in their life.
I am very enthusiast about this Logopraxis. Thank you to both of you to have put it in simple words. I will follow the 7 steps as soon as tomorrow morning !
I'm so glad! We are grateful to Rev. David Millar for sharing this wonderful method of reading the Scripture with us. Wishing you many blessings as you try this new way of engaging with the Word!
I think so many people are turned off the Bible, particularly the Books of Moses + Joshua because of all the violence, jingoism and misogyny. I can only read it now because I believe it is a theological work and not a historical one and that it should be read as interpreted by Jesus and with a view to the historical/cultural context.
Yes, I heartily agree. If read only literally, many of those Old Testament stories are atrocious. It absolutely has to be read as symbolic analogy about spiritual life in order to be a holy book that connects with God and heaven.
Hi Louise, you can find a series of sermons on the book of Joshua from the perspective of the inner life here; spiritandlife.net/church/sermons-index/sermon-index/joshua-fighting-from-truths-to-reclaim-the-mind/ wishing you all the best on your continued exploration of the Bible
It’s strange...that for quite some time I kept seeing videos of yours with titles that looked v interesting but (now I think) unbelievably neglected to look into any further only recently I did check out one of your videos “Regeneration: How radical Love is born” and NOW I’ve watched quite a few in a relatively short period of time and I can honestly say I Love YOU GUYS ....your teachings and presentations are AWESOME x
I really liked the illustration of nucleation (sp?). I think it is significant that the cracks in the pot are what allows the boiling to occur, just like the painful experiences we have had or our own flaws are often the catalyst needed for God to get a foothold inside the door of our hearts and start changing something inside us.
This episode was very timely for me and one of the best. I've been pondering the concept of truth and what's really true and where do we get this elusive thing anyway?? Curtis spoke to this in last weeks episode and this week is adding to it just like your guest says. We must grow into the next phase. The expansion of our truth. Like Curtis said last week your road to the Devine truth may not be mine but that doesn't mean we are not seeking the same Devine truth. Even the growth of your show! Look how different it looks now vs 3 years ago. I can see the camera upgrades the lighting and audio are superbly done. Matt Stewart and the gang really shine. The background music for the last guest in Australia really did draw me in to what he was saying. And the interplay between Curtis and Dr. J is always a delight. Thanks for the examination of what truth really is.
I was really moved by your message, Jeffrey. It sounds like divine truth, and our uniquely individualized reception of it, is of importance to you. I'm grateful for your keen perception of the growth we've experienced, particularly how it shows up in the small (and sometimes large) advances in our graphics and format. You rock, man!
Excellent episode as always! Man, I wish I could share the excitement I get every time I see these in my subrsciption feed. But anyway, having watched the episode now, there is one thing I wanna say followed by a question I wanna ask. I absolutely love hearing about The Lord as an intimate, very human, SUPER close friend to us, who understands us better than ourselves with the end goal of bringing us the highest eternal happiness that is most certainly much better than we could ever think of. It brings me such delight to even think that one day we might even see The Lord in person and hang out with him as best buddies, the delight from this thought makes me feel so warm inside and my eyes watery almost to the point of shedding tears of joy. The beauty of the divine is so overwhelming to me. So I wanna ask, does Swedenborg write a lot about how it is being with The Lord in person? And would this be an interesting enough topic to make an episode out of? Like, when you get to the afterlife and meet The Lord, what exactly do you do? And will he always appear if you ask him?
That is a good idea for a possible episode. I will put it on the list! Did you watch our episode interviewing Howard Storm? He has described the powerful experience of being with the Lord during his NDE in his book and in interviews. ruclips.net/video/aT0n16l89sg/видео.html
Oh, right! :) Anyway, yes, I like your idea of trying to gather things Swedenborg wrote about really experiencing the Lord's presence, and hopefully that will turn into a show someday.
You can work directly for Jesus and the Father, and then you will feel his presence 24/7. That's what their gift of the Holy Spirit does. There's a Bible verse that says if you follow the 10 Commandments, he will appear for you. I do my best to follow them and immediately repent if I even think I might have failed in some way (the law of repentance works instantly in many cases)......and He has appeared to me in both visions and dreams. I feel his love and he guides me in my learning. He also sends me many different teachers at different times, depending on what I'm being guided to learn. Awareness is also key so you don't miss what Swedenborg refers to as "correspondences." Some amazing knowledge comes with understanding how they relate to life. That said, I figure I still miss a lot of them in my own life, so there is always more to learn, but He and His angels make it a lot of fun and they never lose patience. I love Swedenborg's work because it does help bring us to that higher awareness.
This show is like a road map in my spiritual journey. For whatever reason nearly a month ago I started to wake up with intense feelings of anxiety and felt like I was going crazy. Then it got even worse and I started dealing with it for whole days it seemed. But one thing I have realized from watching your videos that in these moments of ambient fears and unexplainable anxiety there is a deep work taking place. Now nearly a month from when it started I feel new, strong, more in control. The hang ups I used to have are now almost completely gone. I love people more, feel and relate with them more, laugh more, cry more (in a manly way...you know). I still may get a random burst of anxiety when I wake up in the middle of the night but it quickly fades to peace. Your videos serve just to remind me that things I am experiencing are NORMAL and even healthy.
Hi Michael you may find the following helpful on the topic of Anxiety and Depression in the Spiritual Life spiritandlife.net/church/2016/05/24/general-vs-spiritual-states-of-anxiety-and-depression/
David Millar Wow there is a lot of helpful and rejuvenating information in this link. I think one thing that is evident about this experience is that I am at all times keenly sensitive to any thoughts flowing from hell when before these desires would be things that I thought I wanted. Likewise I am sensitive to the Glow and Power of the flow of Heaven within myself as well. This is definitely going to be something to meditate on. Thanks! You are a blessing.
Michael the Lord blesses us through others, and the affirmation of His care in the hearing of the stories of others is a wonderful thing. It unites us all in something so much bigger than ourselves, thanks for sharing your story of the Lord working in your life - my spirit is enriched, we are blessed indeed.
Michael, we're deeply happy to know that your spiritual awareness and journey have been going in a such a positive direction. And we're honored and grateful to be on this journey with you!
Very helpful, guys, thanks. I find this idea of building an antenna apparatus into the brain is really helpful. Always looking for information of that variety.
Got me back on track!.. I'm gonna look into Logopraxis. It seems like something would suit me and that would keep me disciplined and on the right track daily. Thank You!
Let's face it: works and behavior seem to be important to salvation. Sitting around patting yourself on the back for believing does not appear like it's going to cut it, nor will works without belief.
I am confuse about what constitute works, are you referring to a 9 to 5 job. I don't understand where the people that are on welfare stand, I mean those that are able but don't want to work because they are ' lazy'. Thank you for your clarification.
Hello, Guitta Tim. No, "works" does not just mean a 9 to 5 job. It means any action at all that is kind or useful to others. So people can do that whether they have a paying job or not.
thank you...teaching holy bible...and apply our life every day....without word of God which is truth from love of God....we get lost in this world and confuse and live in darkness. Word became fresh two thousands years ago....now we have to have word the truth of God which is the life of God ...in our fresh manifest in our heart and mind like Jesus Christ...thank you .God bless all
You're very welcome, Suzy! I'm so glad that you enjoyed this episode. Yes, there is so much richness and beauty in the Word of God, if we know how to listen and open up to it. Wishing God's blessings to you, too!
A wonderful presentation! It's great to see religion presented in such a deep and meaningful way. The mystery of God and existence is within us and not just "out there". It's true that meditating on poetical language from any source can be a door opening up to us new spiritual reality. I just saw an interview of a song writer whose lyrics had inspired listeners to spiritual heights. He was asked what he had intended by the words he'd used. He said that he had nothing in mind, the words just sounded good. This shows that the spiritual value of his music derived from the hearers' own souls, not from the intent of the writer. And as you mentioned, the patterns of nature can inspire us to deeper spiritual understanding. So how can we NOT become spiritualized? Baha'u'llah even mentions how our own meditations and devotions affect others. Did Swedenborg mention anything like this? Intone, O My servants, the verses of God that have been received by thee, as intoned by them who have drawn nigh unto Him, that the sweetness of thy melody may kindle thine own soul, and attract the hearts of all men. Whoso reciteth, in the privacy of his chamber, the verses revealed by God, the scattering angels of the Almighty shall scatter abroad the fragrance of the words uttered by his mouth, and shall cause the heart of every righteous man to throb. Though he may, at first, remain unaware of its effect, yet the virtue of the grace vouchsafed unto him must needs sooner or later exercise its influence upon his soul. Thus have the mysteries of the Revelation of God been decreed by virtue of the Will of Him Who is the Source of power and wisdom. --Bahá'u'lláh
That's a great question! I do know that Swedenborg wrote about the power of prayer and the impact that has on our spiritual states. He wrote that the point of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to instill “hope, comfort, or an inward stirring of joy.” The way that this works is that “our inner depths open up to God”. In this setting, God is always the same; it is we who change. So I think that this spiritual practice helps us to better access these deeper emotional states, whereby we can then affect others with greater joy and love. We actually produced an article on the power of prayer, which may be of interest to you: swedenborg.com/the-magical-power-of-prayer/
Thanks for sharing the article and I agree with Swedenborg's ideas. It's almost comical to think of lobbeying the Lord! It makes much more sense to see the purpose of prayer as opening up our inner being to divine influences and as a source of inner peace and joy. We are exposed to so much negative spiritual influence from the general culture which is pushing us to focus on material things and those things which will boost our egos and position in society. Here is one of our Baha'i prayers revealed by Baha'u'llah which should be universal for anyone of any religion: From the sweet-scented streams of Thine eternity give me to drink, O my God, and of the fruits of the tree of Thy being enable me to taste, O my Hope! From the crystal springs of Thy love suffer me to quaff, O my Glory, and beneath the shadow of Thine everlasting providence let me abide, O my Light! Within the meadows of Thy nearness, before Thy presence, make me able to roam, O my Beloved, and at the right hand of the throne of Thy mercy, seat me, O my Desire! From the fragrant breezes of Thy joy let a breath pass over me, O my Goal, and into the heights of the paradise of Thy reality let me gain admission, O my Adored One! To the melodies of the dove of Thy oneness suffer me to hearken, O Resplendent One, and through the spirit of Thy power and Thy might quicken me, O my Provider! In the spirit of Thy love keep me steadfast, O my Succorer, and in the path of Thy good pleasure set firm my steps, O my Maker! Within the garden of Thine immortality, before Thy countenance, let me abide for ever, O Thou Who art merciful unto me, and upon the seat of Thy glory stablish me, O Thou Who art my Possessor! To the heaven of Thy loving-kindness lift me up, O my Quickener, and unto the Daystar of Thy guidance lead me, O Thou my Attractor! Before the revelations of Thine invisible spirit summon me to be present, O Thou Who art my Origin and my Highest Wish, and unto the essence of the fragrance of Thy beauty, which Thou wilt manifest, cause me to return, O Thou Who art my God! Potent art Thou to do what pleaseth Thee. Thou art, verily, the Most Exalted, the All-Glorious, the All-Highest. - Bahá'u'lláh
coming in the Spirit of Love i feel so special knowing i gave up tv long ago only watch airs such as this. may i say YOU GIVE ME SUCH JOY. ALL DOING ARE OF THE LORD RIGHT? YOU WONT BE OFFENDED IF I SPEAK TRUTH? I FEEL LIKE HE GAVE ME STEVE FROM BLUE'S CLUE'S...IT IS HIS SHOW
@@offTheLeftEye I am now finishing the interview. I love the interaction between Curtis and Jonathan. They make a great TEAM. This is the first I have seen or heard David Millar. He is great in describing the process of LOGOPRAXIS. Thanks and bless you for what you are doing.
For the past 2 years I have been searching and searching for a sign, insight, it something from my mother. It's been 2 years sense her passing and I can't stop obsessing over her death. Everyday, and every night I read, study and practice just about anything I can do just so I can open to any sign she might give. It's controlled me in an extreme way; my husband and I aren't intimate, my friends and I don't hang out anymore. What's wrong with my obsession. How do I get out of this cycle? The teachings or the Bible, Swedenborg, Jane, and other spiritual teaching have completely taken my life from me. I feel like I have it in my head, but not in my heart...... And all I really want to know is; will I ever see her again. I JUST need a sign she's there and waiting for me.
My heart goes out to you, Robbie. I'm moved by the depth of love you have for your mother. Death is a natural process but its design is spiritually motivated. Each of us makes that eventual leap so that we can live as an embodiment of what we love, into eternity. Your mother is where she most deeply belongs. Swedenborg wrote that we eventually reunite with loved ones when entering the spiritual world. You will see her again. And thought brings presence in the spiritual world-- just thinking of her affectionately draws her presence near. We're here for you.
As long as it is in line to what we would like to do, then it’s a GOOD thing. But if if falls out of line, then it doesn’t work and we loose interest. So,, as long as the OPPORTUNITY. exists, and there is an interest, then it can work. 👍🏻❤️🙏🙂
The process explained in this vid is so true. And the books that have come across my path for gleaning insights have been varied. Didn't know there was a fancy name for the process. haha! Anyways, yes the truth shows itself and reveals itself in an ever-expanding way. As a practicing occult worker, I was researching the bible verses associated with a specific protective seal. And, I was surprised to find the particular psalm verses apparently did not exist. Kept looking, and finally found em in a Vatican bible on one of their websites. Well, apparently, some of the most powerful verses have been conveniently omitted from the King James Bible. But, when the need is great, the lord reveals. And so it is.
The Solomon seal I was researching was the 6th pentacle of Jupiter, and the associated verses not found in the King James version is PS.21: 16-17: "manus Foderunt MES et pediatrics meos: dinumeraventur omnia mea osa (just thought I am obligated to provide the example--not that anyone is interested in this sorta stuff). Anyways--In the King James Version, Psalms 21 ends on verse 13.
For any interested magician out there using the 6th pentacle of Jupiter-- although these apparently non-existing verses ARE NOT the associated verses to this seal in the English speaking tradition, they ARE in the Russian tradition. I stumbled across them in Russian, used google translate which gave me the latin then tracked the latin to a Vatican bible/ website.
Hello lovely people, sisters and brothers... You have to know that love is the only way to happiness. And of course, love is felt with heart. Good things we have done heal our hearts and open channel from way of love and bad things block the way. The way of love is source everyone have to go back to there. Like as we came from... Love belong to God. To open the way of happiness you should want to reach to God from heart. Then God will write the words on your heart. Who want to reach to God, they will reach to heaven at last. Don't forget and want to reach before you die!!!
I really like how you center on love being the most fundamental element on the road to happiness. Swedenborg's theology speaks to the source of love being that of God. He also adds pure wisdom to the divine identity of God. It's love, and the wisdom derived from it, that encompasses true beauty.
I have a very difficult time reading the bible.. I get bored and easily distracted and don't feel as if I'm getting anything from it. I have tried to listen to the word, and I have a better time with that. But am I getting the same thing out of the word by listening to it? I just don't enjoy reading anything, never have. I envy people that love to read.
Hi Deb, I appreciate and honor your transparency here. Whether you listen to the bible or hear it aloud, what really matters is your interaction with the spiritual concepts. The Word is the Lord's presence with us, and that presence comes via the truth held in those concepts, not the actual words on the page. So I would say that if you can engage with the ideas, then audio format is just fine! I also am always moved by the deeper meaning that Swedenborg's theology provides as I engage with the Bible. Sometimes it makes passages "come alive" for me.
Thank you for your response, and yes I agree, Swedenborg's teachings have improved my ability to see the bible in a real way and your channel and explanations and illustrations have also helped enormously.
I have often thought about how God reaches different people. It’s true, that we are all generally or basically the same as human beings, even though we slightly differ physically. We all occupy the same earth 🌍 But when it comes to the mental or psychological part of the puzzle, it’s extremely complicated. We speak different languages, we have different customs, traditions, likes or dislikes, etc. Can you imagine what 7 billion people talking would sound like? ….Being that God is much more powerful than us, I’m sure he can reach those others who have the Goodness written in their hearts but live completely different lives.
Yes! The variety God created in the human race does indeed stun the mind! The expression of each person's goodness is unique, such that no one behaves exactly the same as the next person. Our oneness can be found in the oneness of community, of common purpose. "Communities in Heaven - S&L Short Clips" ruclips.net/video/POdPtYbkBLg/видео.html
hello guys you wee pal billy from bonnie scotland iv watched this video couple times about 17 min in curtis you mentioned Observe the observer. there is a great book by P.D.OUSPENSKY called the fourth way published 1957 i think he was desciple of G.I. GURDJIEFF in chapter v on self-remembering in it he gives a full chapter on observe the observer, i was reading it before i tuned into your talk its brilliant if you get a chance i recomend reading this chapter also i was reading a book by EKNATH EASWARAN on the UPANISHADS introduction the Upanishads wanted more than explanations of the outside world. They sought principles that would unify and explain the whole of human experience: including, at the same time, the world within the mind.than explanations of the outside world. They sought principles that would unify and explain the whole of human experience: including, at the same time, the world within the mind. In the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad there is a long, haunting exposition of the states of mind the sages explored. They called them waking, dreaming, and dreamless sleep, but somehow they had made the brilliant observation that these are not merely alternate states which a person slips in and out of every day. They also represent layers of awareness, concurrent strata lying at different depths in the conscious and unconscious mind. great book great show guys love you Easwaran, Eknath. The Upanishads (Easwaran's Classics of Indian Spirituality) (p. 29). Nilgiri Press. Kindle Edition.
Hi there Billy from bonnie Scotland! It's always nice connecting with you, my friend. I love your commitment to searching for answers -- thanks for those recommendations! There is a book called Observing Spirit by Peter Rhodes (an occasional guest speaker on our videos) that I believe you would enjoy. It combines Swedenborg's teachings with that of Gurdjieff. You should check it out! Very inspiring. Sending love to you from Pennsylvania...
This thread was from before when you asked to continue in a new thread; The question was about angels in the highest heaven always focusing on purpose. You said that purpose was like a mission statement that helped guide them I was just wondering what their exact thought process would be in relation to this. Like in any given situation how does an angel go about things? Purpose, wisdom and action all included. Like a step by step
Wow, Blue Red, I don't think we can possibly know their exact thought process. Swedenborg says that human beings can barely grasp heavenly matters in general, so being able to describe a precise, step-by-step process is way beyond our capabilities, I'm afraid! In general, the concept of USEFULNESS guides everything in heaven. So I guess angels would start there, determine what the purpose is, apply what they KNOW about the situation, and put it into action. Wisdom = truth in action, or love acting from truth. They're big concepts, but that's what heaven is about -- love, wisdom, use. How it goes down in the day-to-day is something we can only speculate about!
@@offTheLeftEye hmmm. So their main focus is on usefulness or purpose? Also by purpose in goodness does that mean an emotion? The purpose being emotive
@@bluered2544 I suppose it could be emotive, if you consider love an emotion. I would also say that love is a force, an energy, an undercurrent that drives everything - so emotion is just a part of it all, if that makes any sense. Usefulness IS the purpose - to be useful basically means to show up and be kind and helpful in whatever situation you are in, whether you're on earth or in the other world! See, "God Created the Universe So That Usefulness Could Exist" ruclips.net/video/nScdL3FMjtY/видео.html Hope that helps!
@@offTheLeftEye thanks. Yeh that makes sense. I think I was mistaking cause for goal. I.e the initial impulse vs the final destination. But about emotion; surely that force and energy driving everything is emotive too. Emotion being the through line of it all. Or synonymous rather. I.e. the undercurrent isn't cold and emotionless
@@bluered2544 sure! It would be hard to go through life without feeling, wouldn't it? What would motivate us - inspire us - warn or reward us - if we had no emotions?
What about the scripture that talks about how desperately wicked the heart is, who can know it. I find myself praying in the Holy Ghost and then I see the things that come out of me prove how wicked my heart is. What do I/we do about it?? I'm figuring to keep praying and asking the Lord to take these things out of me. I don't figure I will make it to Heaven with all these bad things in my heart. Where does one turn?
Remember that we each have a higher self and a lower ego. If your higher self is seeing things in your lower ego and not liking that, that is a good sign. Here are two shows that help with ideas about how to handle it. It is a gradual process, one step at a time, so be patient with yourself. "The Day to Day Process of Our Salvation" ruclips.net/video/KkTtsrFbLTs/видео.html "Repentance: How to Be in Heaven Now" ruclips.net/video/5_-zxnqG_sg/видео.html And maybe also: "Spiritual Detoxing" ruclips.net/video/W5xxOXE-z74/видео.html "Regeneration: How Radical Love is Born" ruclips.net/video/UIK00Yg_rc8/видео.html
Curtis and Jonathan, great material! So much deeper than the daily devotionals I did decades ago! One question, what texts would you suggest from Swedenborg? True Christianity, Heaven and Hell? I was looking at the "where do I start" books in the SF bookstore? Would those be good?
Yes the recommendations on SF bookstore will help you. May you enjoy the treasure hunt. There are wonderful gems waiting for you to discover, lengnauer.
I find Swedenborg defining goodness as always meaning the use something or someone can serve. Something is good because it makes a positive difference in life, serves a use to the whole. See our episode "Goodness, Truth, and Spiritual Appearance" at about 10 minutes 50 seconds for a quote about that: ruclips.net/video/M7-qaA4GmVs/видео.html
At min 4:26 Jonathan mentions a quote from Spiritual Experiences about 2 foundations of truth: nature and written revelation. Does anyone know which number he’s quoting? Thanks!
Just curious as to how you all at the Swedenborg foundation, view or understand, not only Gnostic texts stating that our reality is an "illusion" and a "simulation", but the current quantum mechanic connections to this same idea, such as physicist James Gates discussions on a simulated reality and his discoveries of what looks like computer code writ into the fabric of space time. I'm curious as to the possible connections between Swedenborg and sacred understandings in relation to an alternative viewpoint such as the simulation hypothosis.
It's a great question, jay. I haven't found Swedenborg talking about physical reality exactly as an illusion, but rather as something that is "dead" in comparison with spiritual reality. So, limited and rigid, like a shell that needs to be shed when it's usefulness is finished. But he also talks about the physical plane as having an essential function as a basis for the higher, more expansive levels. I think perhaps Swedenborg would see that "code" as the code of correspondences that connects the spiritual levels with the physical and earthly ones. When Swedenborg talks about illusion, he mainly seems to use the word to mean the phenomenon of seeing things in a false way because of one's state of mind being out of sync with spiritual and heavenly love and wisdom. But I will keep my eye out to see if I ever come across other ways that Swedenborg talks about "illusion."
can you guys make the David Millar interview, available in your website? in the show in 2017 Curtis mentions that being available to patreon donors, is that still something you have now in 2021?
Interesting way to put it, Blue Red. Yes, it's loving self more than anything else that defines the lowest hell, and that could certainly manifest in wanting to harm others for one's own gain....
@@offTheLeftEye yeh I always wondered why when people are in pain they wish to cause others pain too. Must be something to do with this. Possibly a form of control. I.e. anger and violence as a strategy for getting what you want. Namely something for your ego
@@bluered2544 yes, control - a love of destruction - and craving and obsession. I think of evil loves as being a lot like drug addiction, and addiction wants to drag us and everyone around us down with it. Think of the phrase, "misery loves company." So people immersed in evil loves want to disturb or use other people to achieve their selfish ends. It makes them "happy." But since evil is the absence of God, and God is love and life itself, then evil is the absence of love and life. So the inevitable end of evil is pure destruction - chaos. If we tap into that energy, that is where it leads us if we don't get ourselves out of it.
I'm not sure how you could have one without the other, Blue Red. Our intuition is the Lord speaking to us - and the Lord only speaks in love. If we put love into action, we are following what we've learned externally AND what we hear internally, don't you think?
@@bluered2544 I see what you are saying. Yes, I would say that wisdom requires putting the love into action. Intuition is a prompt, but we need to put it into action to have it become grounded, real and a part of our spirits and life.
I'm definitely not understanding the Word properly. When I read it I see anger and violence towards people in the old testament some of it from God. I feel that can't be correct though because since I came across your channel things seem different now. Please tell me though, are the stories about us and what we go through in life or about those literal people. Is it the same in the New Testament too? I'm seeing things different but I want to be sure I understand everything correctly. I'm still quite new here and trying to understand clearer. Thank you
Well, Yvonne, the LITERAL sense of the Word is indeed full of anger and violence! The way the Old Testament portrays God is definitely confusing and upsetting! Swedenborg says the first 11 chapters of Genesis are purely allegorical/correspondential, and then after that, the OT is telling a historical story that is also (miraculously) representative and symbolic of our own spiritual journey AND of Jesus's journey on earth. As he said on the road to Emmaus, all of the scriptures were about him! Here is a playlist of eleven shows we've done about the Bible -- ruclips.net/p/PLgtFTXGqZdSlaKuOoGVLb8M-OmQM3R0lq (This playlist thing is a new feature on our RUclips channel, so please let me know if the link doesn't work or something!) Hopefully you'll find a title or two in there that captures your interest and can provide some enlightenment on a complicated issue! Let us know if you still have questions!
I asked this before but how does hereditary evil apply to children? Does a baby express the hereditary evil? I know it's guided by the lord in it's innocence, but when then does that hereditary stuff come in? Is it that theyre instinctually led initially but gradually weened off and led into outer things?
Great question, Blue Red. I wonder if that's what the "terrible twos" are all about -- when they are really coming into a sense of themselves, and dealing with matters of a very strong will! Someone pointed out to me once that we think of children as innocent (and infants certainly are), but the playground scene can be pretty intense! It's all how it should be, but we can see in children a very strong sense of self, me first!, mine!, inability to share or think of another's perspective, etc. Mostly children adjust and learn to cooperate in life, but it's not always an easy process! I wonder if that's what we're seeing: the early wrestling with hereditary inclinations to evil/self-centeredness.
You'd think I would watch more - your words are always so carefully chosen - very trustworthy and inviting. Thank you for helping and encouraging a path away from my self and to the Lord's Hope and my/our heavenly home. I could encourage others to follow through in their reading with writing with intention = LogoPraxis tasking straight from the Word and Heavenly Doctrines.
Hi, Kiki. No, Swedenborg was not a mason. Some people think that because a certain freemason named a ritual after him, but that was after Swedenborg had died, so Swedenborg himself actually had nothing to do with that rite or ritual. Here is a short video giving an introduction about who Emanuel Swedenborg is: ruclips.net/video/HEa0e8AcS78/видео.html
Swedenborg said one time (although I can't find it) that if you'rer extra good you're permitted into the heart. But does he mean that you're now a heart person, even though you were a leg person, for instance. Or does he mean that you're allowed in the highest heaven of the leg? 🍗
Great question, Blue Red! I've always kind of assumed the first, but there are levels to the heavens, so maybe the second is correct. Or probably they could BOTH be options -- such individual journeys we're on in our spiritual lives! Hard to make generalizations about it!
@@offTheLeftEye ok. Cheers. Btw your last couple replies you forgot to @ my username so it doesn't show up in my notifications. So maybe there's a lot of replies you're making that are not getting through
@@offTheLeftEye I have a question about Christ. Was he 6th day before the cross and 7th after? Because in your video about Christs psychology, Jonathan rose talks about him having to stay coming from a place of love while being attacked by the hells and abandoned by the heavens. But if was having to stay coming from a place of love then wouldn't that mean he was already the 7th day and should be free of all that? Love being the marker of the 7th day
@@bluered2544 Love is very involved in the 6th day, but it is just not completely in charge yet. On the cross, Jesus asked why God had forsaken him, which means he wasn't quite there to the state of complete trust. The sixth day is actually a state of being regenerated, but a spiritual level of regeneration rather than a celestial level. So, a person will always do what is right, will always do the loving thing, but there is still the experience of struggle, because it is still a battle to hold to those principles, and one is still vulnerable to attack. Jesus was holding on to the principles of love, but he was suffering from attacks of pain and doubt and despair. I don't know for sure, but it could be that when Jesus said on the cross "It is finished," that that was the moment of shifting to a 7th day state. The 7th day is the end of the period of labor and struggle. The complete surrender to and trust in Divine Love. And then there is peace. After he had finished his work on earth, after he had "died" on the cross and was then resurrected, he could not be attacked by hell any more. He was fully united with Divine Love.
Radio waves. They're practically everywhere. Can't see 'em. Can't smell 'em. In order to receive them (as in hear them) you need a radio receiver. In corresponding fashion, we need the Word to see the Lord. Now let's put human choice on the tuning dial. You can listen to good and bad stuff. The case is even more so with the internet, which reaches to the heights of heaven and to the pits of hell. Of course you need a PC. offTheLeftEye is some of the good stuff. The Lord's Word is the source of all the good we see around us. Many have said this before: "The Lord's Word is God taking to the human species." Now we have other means to propagate it, namely broadcast media and the internet. /// And now to give some of us goosebumps. It says in the Writings (of Swedenborg) that the art of writing and printing/publishing was provided for on this earth for the sake of the Word. And the art of navigation and ships were provided to propagate the Word to all parts of the globe. The goosebumps?? It says this in Swedenborg's work "Earths in the Universe;" a book that describes the spirits and angels from Other Planets. In my opinion [heresy warning!] , the New Church, which is the crown of all churches, might be small today; but this little mustard seed is a Church that will go to the stars. Ready for a second case of goosebumps? My grandmother (a New Church woman) told me this in 1969 when we were waiting to watch the astronauts walk on the moon. I was thirteen. She said that she was thirteen when the Wright Brothers flew in 1903. When she died in November of 1969, we got the phone call while I was reading a book about the Wright Brothers.
Wow! There's so much to dissect here! I love how you point to Swedenborg's assertion that writing, printing and publishing (along with trade) was for the sake of the Word. One can see how Providence would guide such things. Looking back, I'm amazed by how quickly Christianity spread via these human advancements. I've also heard it speculated by a few followers of Swedenborg that the internet could be seen the same way-- for the spread of the New Church. Perhaps there's some truth in this?
The work Earths in the Universe is NOT a heresy. Tongue in cheek! My own claim is the "heresy." My claim that it is prophesied in that work that we the people of Earth will go the stars -- well that is my interpretation, and so in jest I called my claim a "heresy." I have more personal heresies about this particular work. In the literal sense some view that the work might be a roadblock because it mentions people on our moon, Saturn, Mars, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter. Well, we see that the moon is devoid of life. My take is that perhaps those people existed long before life was created on our Earth. Others have said that there is life there (moon, Mars etc.) but just that we can't see it. I don't agree, and find it easier to think it is an issue of Time and different eons. In any case, Swedenborg spoke to the spirits and angels of those planets--He did not go to the planets and he did not speak to those living on those planets currently (in the 1700s). Sorry for the confusion.
Yes. I believe that the Internet (as fun as it is) has a Divine purpose as well--spreading the Church and the Word. I don't think that is a radical claim because it is based (or derived) on the statement made by Swedenborg about Writing and Printing being for the sake of the Word. He saw this in the 18th Century (and the Lord told him). We in the 21st Century are seeing a parallel development (internet and media) that in a similar manner could (and will) benefit the New Church. We might notice or fear that the internet and TV have a lot of junk and bad stuff on them. Well, books and magazines can be evil too. It depends on the author.
Here is a "research assignment" for anyone curious. Was Swedenborg the first to write about life on other planets? I haven't heard of anything earlier. I wonder when people on the Earth even started to ask the question.
I agree with Swedenborg concerning the purpose of printing and books. The same is true with radio, T.V. and the internet. Humanity just has to become mature enough to use these technologies for their ultimate spiritual purpose instead of toys. All technologies to replace human labor also free us to have more time to educate ourselves spiritually and serve our fellow human beings. People who spend all their waking time to just survive don't have the time to think about other things. The ancient Greek philosophers had the time because they had slaves to do all their work.
It says on your website that evil spirits in the rectum go from there to be expelled Into hell. I thought hell was in the intestines. Is it actually the poo outside our body? lol
Another interesting question. It does sound like that sometimes, but also, nobody can be outside of the "universal human" I would think -- even the hellish version of it! You might enjoy trying to chase it down on newchristianbiblestudy.com, where you can search for words and phrases throughout Swedenborg's works....
@@bluered2544 lol. You might do better with the words "digestion" or "excrement." I know we talked about this in an episode, but I'm having trouble remembering which - I think it may have been this one: ruclips.net/video/pjc1OO0wkWI/видео.html
I have noticed religions that have a strong doctrine can actually end up with people worshiping the doctrine and not worshiping God. Without personal revelation and insight from God how can any religion be living without what Jesus said to the woman at the well. “ Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst again. With the water that I get shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” How can you have a well of water springing up into everlasting life from just reading words on a page. Who or what are we worshiping and how can we be inspired and receive insight. (Those two words keep coming back to me, stagnant and petrified. ) What we discovered that made us want to became a Christian is a living thing however in time it can become dead without living water of The Spirit The letter kills Two Corinthians 3:6 Who also has made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.
Such good thoughts, Bill. Thanks for sharing them. I like the idea of each person approaching the Word, looking for what message the Lord wants to give to them, personally, for that very day. Give us (individually) our daily bread. My words are spirit and they are life. It's challenging for us humans to not get caught up in the words and the letter itself, but the spirit giveth life!
You have me confused. If this is supposed to be a guide for people to write the WORD on their hearts. Revelation is not a source or a book, it is a PROCESS whereby you receive all information and the meaning of the information directly from God. A process that has been described as a communion of knowledge. You suddenly know and understand everything that you were intended to. This process is beyond all doubt and occurs through a means that is beyond thought, It simply is suddenly present and complete. To be able to impart this knowledge to others generally requires the spiritual gift of teaching. Communication generally needs to be personal to impart the full meaning of the message. This process was once done verbally allowing a teacher with the spiritual gift of teaching to be able to impart the full message to the student. Including emotions, vibrations and understandings of the teacher to the student. When it comes to having the WORD written on our hearts: In the beginning was the WORD , (the name of god which cannot be spoken )and the word was with him (Spirit) and in him Christ. So the creator comes through Christ into our hearts by the Power if the Spirit. Entering our hearts which have been prepared by longing and love to be united. Our desire must be to ONLY EXTEND that limitless unconditional love to others unconditionally and in NO WAY DESIRE POSSESS it. To be united we hold that free intention in our hearts and wait in stillness and silence for our hearts to be trans formed. Trance is definitely the best state for this practice of patience. Especially if that trance state can disengage the critical factor (judgement) of our conscious mind. In another video when Swedenborg was asked if he had his health papers before starting the spiritual journey. I think that he was being reminded that he had chosen this path prior to this incarnation on earth. The question was really : Are you Physically prepared for the power of these spiritual realms with this human body before you start,
I completely agree with you, Barry, so I think you have misunderstood the message of this show. The show is describing a way that you can use sacred text as a tool to access the inner revelation that you describe. It is a method of reading along until something in the text really "speaks" to your heart. There are other ways to open up to this inner voice, the Word which is the Divine Truth that has existed from the beginning. This method of "Logopraxis" that David Millar is offering is just one way to go about it.
Fake news these days is saying because Jesus performed Miracles (he was Super Natural);they say that shows he was Satanic and worse things about Jesus . SAD. So thank you for this show telling us to study for ourself and decide what is true. I like “The Visual Bible“ Series for the Gospels. I like Sheperd’s Chapel Family Bible Study with Pastor Murray on You Tube to get through chapters in the Bible quickly and accurately. I like Swedenborg works to add a insightful dimensionality to Christianity.
Tess, I'm glad that you appreciate the importance of using one's rational mind to discern what makes sense and what's true in your spiritual life. We mustn't be forced into any set of beliefs, because that would invalidate the authenticity of real faith.
Sounds like you're comfortable reading his writings yourself, Millie. A lot of people find it a struggle to track and follow his 18th-century style, especially in older translations. We'll keep trying to make Swedenborg's ideas accessible to people, and I'm glad you have found a way to find meaning in them without any middlemen!
fish. well i'm a guppie. but i took small bites sometimes when one reads a whole scripture they get lost sometimes a dab will do you. sometimes doing a part is enough sit and chew that. marinate. taking part with the partner..for instance and THE LORD DRIED UP..LUCKY STILL PARTAKERS yea Lord.
I never prescribed to any one Abrahamich perspective, if it was relevant to me I owned up to it and practice it ; I hope there is a audio Bible with Swedenborg's interpretations in the works . Thank you
Hey friends, So glad you could join us as we explore the theory of logopraxis with our special guest David Millar. We thrive on your participation so please share your thoughts and comments while you watch. With love and wisdom - Curtis, Jonathan, and team
offTheLeftEye great show !
Thanks Jesus!!
Every time I watch a show, I feel more and more enlightened and certainly closer to God. Thank you so much .
How wonderful to hear this, Ann. God bless you.
Very true
You spoke about needing an external source of wisdom to have revelation. I think watching these programs are a great way to trigger spiritual thoughts and revelation from the heaven side of our being. We experience Godly presence.
I'm so glad you feel that way, Bill! Our greatest hope is that these programs can help spark people's own deeper insights, and the feeling that God is present. God bless!
I am simply and humbly..."just amazed!!!" I am in tears right now...
I'm glad this reached your own heart! Sending love...
I like how at 44:10 he says that really there's nothing separating us from The Lord. We only see the illusion of separation.
A deeper understanding. This is why I go back and watch episodes again sometimes I just wasn’t ready to understand it.
I often find that it takes several times for these ideas to settle in my mind. You're in good company, Bonnie!
And all the hard work you all put into these shows make them so enjoyable to watch and bring such peace
Thank you so much for your ongoing encouragement and love!
Swedenborg rocks!
Thank you for sharing!
Always interesting concepts!
And helpful! Thank you!
So glad to have you here, Crystal! Our dream come true is that viewers would find these ideas helpful and meaningful in their lives! Thanks for letting us know it's happening!
Thanks a million this show is heavenly, words cannot express my joy love you all...
How wonderful to hear! Thanks so much for reaching out, Trish...we feel honored :)
Love it!
Revelations is the word I would tattoo on my heart and I'm only so many minute into this episode 💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
It's so cool to hear about your experience with this episode! You're affection for this is inspiring to me :)
This teaching has brought me so much joy. Thank you!
Such a heart-warming message to begin my day with, Debby! Thanks for reaching out!
True
God is the word and he flows into us through thoughts and feelings and his presence in us we take action in wisdom love goodness and truth displaying the heavenly character.
Thanks Curtis, Jonathan and David.
There is so much divine power there for us in the Word!
I Will do more and write seventy times times seven times everyday from within me. It is a great feeling seeking life through observation and devotion.
Thank you very very much.I Loved It.
Donald, we're so happy to hear this! Thanks for letting us know :)
Listening to this video again this evening....what Curtis and Jonathan explain here is developing a routine for self-examination of our spiritual health. Our spiritual state of being spills into our physical well being. Yes, we must wrestle with the truth in order to gain understanding.
That's a great way to look at it, Helene. Thank you!
God bless!
Curtis and Dr. Rose your tandem is perfect. Keep it up. Thank you for this. P.S. Curtis, I like your shirt: the spectrum 😎
Thanks Rov Li! I'm so glad you enjoy the show format. Blessings, friend :)
I feel such joy knowing that these shows are valuable to you. May you continue growing in faith and love, my friend :)
I really Enjoy Everything you share here on this channel! Thanks so Much!
Hi Anette! So nice to hear from you, and thanks for the kind words!
Another great episode. Thank you so much. Very educational
Hey Marc, thanks for reaching out! I'm pumped that you like this episode. Wishing you well!
thank you for sharing love this episode.
Dawnabrat great analysis lady.
Thanks for these profound insights! It's apparent that you've put a lot of thought into this, and we are grateful for your willingness to share!
Seems like this type of thing might explain why it's such a common occurrence for people to feel as if a sermon was tailored specifically for them at that specific time in their life.
I can totally see how that'd be the case. Thanks for sharing this insight with us, James!
I think that this video is really important and worth coming back to and watching again and again,
I'm so glad you think so, Louise. I was profoundly affected by David Millar's approach to reading Scripture.
What can you say about the spiritual significance of Aaron please? I keep having Aaron brought to my attention. Thanks
You guys are as precious as it gets.
Aw, thanks so much, Collette. It means a lot to us that you are enjoying the shows.
We are overjoyed that you made the decision to check out program out! May you continue growing in love and wisdom, my friend :)
really helpful and contains concrete action. Thanks!
That's so great to hear! Thanks for letting us know :)
I really liked the illustration of nucleation (sp?). I think it is significant that the cracks in the pot are what allows the boiling to occur, just like the painful experiences we have had or our own flaws are often the catalyst needed for God to get a foothold inside the door of our hearts and start changing something inside us.
I'm glad that illustration resonated with you. I'm often reminded of the saying, "there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in".
Ithaca is the book that did it to me when I was young I felt moved now I cry to go to Ithaca too
This episode was very timely for me and one of the best.
Really, Really Great !! Thank you very much for your job ! You are howsum !!
Manuel, thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement. We're really glad you enjoyed the video!
One of your best yet
What a wonderful thing to hear! Thanks so much, Joe :)
I sure have! That is how I found your channel! :)

Mike - hope to have you touch base with the Logopraxis community sometime.
Let's face it: works and behavior seem to be important to salvation. Sitting around patting yourself on the back for believing does not appear like it's going to cut it, nor will works without belief.
This is a point that Swedenborg certainly stresses-- faith is qualified via good works, both within us and out into the world.
Here is one of our Baha'i prayers revealed by Baha'u'llah which should be universal for anyone of any religion:
From the sweet-scented streams of Thine eternity give me to drink, O my God, and of the fruits of the tree of Thy being enable me to taste, O my Hope!

The Solomon seal I was researching was the 6th pentacle of Jupiter, and the associated verses not found in the King James version is PS.21: 16-17: "manus Foderunt MES et pediatrics meos: dinumeraventur omnia
mea osa (just thought I am obligated to provide the example--not that anyone is interested in this sorta stuff).
Good!
Thanks, Alan!
Realize you have the radiation profile pic 😀 you've got me there. I like the way you present your thoughts about this topic
Can he share?

This thread was from before when you asked to continue in a new thread;
The question was about angels in the highest heaven always focusing on purpose. You said that purpose was like a mission statement that helped guide them
I was just wondering what their exact thought process would be in relation to this.
See, "God Created the Universe So That Usefulness Could Exist" ruclips.net/video/nScdL3FMjtY/видео.html

Yes the recommendations on SF bookstore will help you. May you enjoy the treasure hunt. There are wonderful gems waiting for you to discover, lengnauer.
I'm a little confused about what goodness is. Is it the feeling of love for another? Not usefulness but just goodness in isolation

It's §5709, Rachel! Are you aware of newchristianbiblestudy.org? A great site for searching for questions like this. Blessings to you!

This is the practice that Jeanne Guyon introduces in "Experiencing the Depth of Jesus Christ"
Is the lowest hells defining quality the love of harming others? Does that come from the thought that the lower the other the higher the self?
Think of the phrase, "misery loves company."
So people immersed in evil loves want to disturb or use other people to achieve their selfish ends.

@@offTheLeftEye but we can have intuitions of things without putting It into action

Hi, Kiki. No, Swedenborg was not a mason. Some people think that because a certain freemason named a ritual after him, but that was after Swedenborg had died, so Swedenborg himself actually had nothing to do with that rite or ritual. Welcome. This channel is the answer to your questions. You were brought to this channel for a reason 🙂

@@offTheLeftEye thanks for the link. Ill search for 'poo flying out of bum" lol
@@bluered2544 lol. You might do better with the words "digestion" or "excrement." I know we talked about this in an episode, but I'm having trouble remembering which - I think it may have been this one: ruclips.net/video/pjc1OO0wkWI/видео.html
@@offTheLeftEye haha was just kidding
I have noticed
religions that have a strong doctrine can actually end up with people worshiping the doctrine and not worshiping God. Without personal revelation and insight from God how can any religion be living without what Jesus said to the woman at the well. “ Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst again. With the water that I get shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life”
How can you have a well of water springing up into everlasting life from just reading words on a page. Who or what are we worshiping and how can we be inspired and receive insight.
(Those two words keep coming back to me, stagnant and petrified. )
What we discovered that made us want to became a Christian is a living thing however in time it can become dead without living water of The Spirit
The letter kills
Two Corinthians 3:6
Who also has made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.
I'm 2nd
I enjoy these but why the annoying music in parts?
I'm glad you enjoy the shows, Jerry. Most people have told us that they especially like the music, so I guess it is just a matter of differing tastes!
Am.....I first?.......it would seem so.
When it comes to having the WORD written on our hearts:
In the beginning was the WORD , (the name of god which cannot be spoken )and the word was with him (Spirit) and in him Christ.
Discernment is a frequent bugbear of theological differences.
I wish you'd just let Swedenborg speak for himself without a lot of unnecessary talks
Yes, we certainly can take in just very small amounts of Scripture at a time, and that can still make a big difference in our lives!
I never prescribed to any one Abrahamich perspective, if it was relevant to me I owned up to it and practice it ; I hope there is a audio Bible with Swedenborg's interpretations in the works . Thank you
Hi Juan! We actually have been developing an audio collection of Swedenborg's works. Check it out here: swedenborg.com/bookstore/cds-dvds-audiobooks/
Thank you🌼
You're so welcome!
