    I think it might take more artistic skill, but I think trimming some of the fur at the bottom around the leg areas might give Timber even more range looking down. Not sure how viable it is with a X-Acto knife or something.

    Any advice on improving the outward articulation of his back legs. I want to put mine in a peeing position hahaha! Great video! Very informative!

    Very good modification, may I know how do you do the drilling or removing of access plastic? What tools did you use?

    • @xcorpeo
      @xcorpeo  2 года назад +3

      A rotary tool with a spherical emery grinding head works best for me

      Yes, it appears there's a running change. Someone else commented too. That saves everyone half the work ✌️

      @@xcorpeo FWIW, I do believe your dremel fix gives more range of motion than the Hasbro running change 😀

    Great vid.
    Xcorpeo, could you tell me if you've ever swapped a Y-Jointed hip setup for a T-Jointed one?
    I'm thinking of some black series figs that would benefit: Imperial Patrol Trooper, Yavin Ceremony Luke Skywalker and Aurra Sing.

    So it seems you had a very early copy Timber. Because as I look at mine the area where the ball joint is does not look anything like yours at least the one that is not modified. And then after you modified it that's how mine looks and I didn't even touch it. You must have had a super early copy which would make sense considering you got it before it was widely released. Though as far as the second inner piece it was not fixed and it's still can't go down further and is hindered by the Interiors so this video is still helpful to fix that piece. Thanks for the insight

    @xcorpeo Would bending the dumb bell joint (about 15 degrees, similar to Mafex neck joints) result in the same articulation improvement, instead of dremeling the plastic?

    • @xcorpeo
      @xcorpeo  2 года назад +2

      Not really, because there's no space in the channel for the dumb bell to bend into, if that makes sense

      plus there's a risk of breaking it.

      Lol they don't care on perfection only sales. It's just more relief for them that there are people that can teach a simple fix. Plus lol other companies get to sell there lube to loosen or joint tightening stuff which sadly only works well on small joints not big joints and can potentially mess your figure up if you use too much.

    Unfortunately, I don't have any tools to perform that surgery, would you take commission? lol

    • @Aaron_Heininger
      @Aaron_Heininger 2 года назад

      Lol well if you're collecting it's best to get the tools. And there are cheaper methods that work just as well. Like small sizors and a thin piece of metal with a kinda sharp but dull tip will work too like a butter knife level of dull. Just will take time and patience. That's how I do my toys cause yah heat and lube doesn't always work. And what these videos don't say is be careful with some joints. Cause I broke one figure that way so after that I went out and got three different methods of stuff to loosen and a few to tighten joints and now I can tackle majority of the problems.
