Rocheline, one day please interview your grandmother. Ask her these questions. What year was she born. What was her childhood like. Did she knew her grandparents? I'm always interested in the older generation history. You are lucky to know her.
Praises to The ALMIGHTY. Even though we were brought away from our Motherland the Caribbean has the same atmosphere so we are in our element. Beautiful people.
i grew up eating sweet potato pie in Georgia. your family definitely reminds me of mine when i was young. i remember "going to the country" and those down home experiences. the more we learn about each other the more we realize how alike we are. Also, we just came back from vacation in Jamaica and i already miss it! can't wait to come back to the amazing people. much respect and love to you my friend.
Roch whe yuh a duh a buy dirt ah store? Dem duh unuh really bad. Lucky yuh have grannylin fi set yuh straight. Loved the farm tour, loved watching the ingenious potato pudding making, so efficient, bake pudding and roast breadfruit same time. I think they don't use a blender for the potatoes because you would have to add water which would spoil the pudding. Great video. Keep it up.
I COULD HEAR THE PEOPLE ENJOYING THE RIVER AND SEE THAT THE CHILDREN LOVING THE FOOTBALL GAME...LOVELY CROPS, NOTHING LIKE THE ORIGINAL COUNTRY LIFE...🤣🤣🤣👍😃💞
Love to see the kids playing outside. Too many kids are spending too much time indoors watching TV.... Country Life is the awesome, I was a country girl still.... Everything looks so awesome......
Great upload. Transplanting in the evening allows the plant around 12 to 14 hours to get ready for the hardship stage of adjusting to the stress etc. We also have both the white and red sweet potatoes. You were talking about a dough mixer to knead flour. You use a blender to fast track the grating process.
Thank you for this video, reminds me of my great grandparents farm in Jamaica, and grandfather’s farm in Costa Rica, I hope video’s like these don’t send people to trouble them. Tfs
Never knew I would now crave to back to the country after spending so many years in Kingston. It's my first time seeing banana leaves use in the process of baking sweet potatoes.
Good eavling your grand mother is so pretty you look like your grand mother very nice i love the farm big up the farmer i love the farmer i grow up in the country my mother was a farmer so we use to go to the bush a Lot i love it a lot
making potatoe pudding every Friday evening for church Saturday. N every holy Thursday n news yrs eve wow it was always something to talk about. I care zero what no one has say country living is a booooom 💯👍👍
Rub cooking oil on your hand before grating however this could result in a slipppery hand that csn cause cuts to result from the sharp face of grater.... probably some drying of hand or even applying a bit of flour on hand after oiling might reduce the risk of being cut by the grater.
Hey roch when u get ur kitchen aid stand mixer make sure u get the one with the plastic attachment.. I have the iron one and after a while the flour start to taste funny to me
Granny is really awesome--so beautiful and smart. 💯% authentic. She warms my heart. No wonder you exude such authenticity: keep it up my dear. I'll adopt you too as my granddaughter; what do you say!? 😍

I just love Rochielin's voice ❤ Great personality to go with it 👍🇯🇲
The oil rubbing on hands is to reduce the hand being stained while grating the potatoes.

I like everything in this video. Grannylyn know her stuff
Love the farming. I think the brown peppers may be chocolate habaneros. Insecticide dont just blow off, those chemicals going in your crops.
You can parch the potatoes or boila little to soften it then blend it to speed it up ladies
Those brown pepper is called ghost pepper.... Mostly found in Trinidad@Tobago..
Love country living ❤🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
