Whenever I get the urge to step into a mine... I just watch one of you and Julie's videos and feel instant relief that I did not do that... 😜 Great mine info in the description...
Hi Roger. That ladder was a bit of a chore to make and bring down the shaft. I didn't get enough footage of it because I was busy getting it into place and making sure we all got up it safely. Glad that you enjoyed the explore!👍😊
Hi Jimmy. Hope you are doing as well as can be expected. Glad that you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching and for the blessing. We appreciate you!🙏😊
Another great video from you and Julie. I really appreciate your video technique because you move the camera slowly enough that we get to see what your two eyes see, which is a lot better view than a camera lens.
Hi Bruce. I don't know why that happens. We've had RUclips even unsubscribe people from our channel. Maybe go to our channel and hit the bell icon again? Thanks for making the effort to find the video!👍😊
Hey there you two, well I reckon there will be a lot more of items that fell down the shaft as well as your battery ay, well done as usual and hope there are many more episodes to come, Cheers
H8 Brian and Mary. We were at the bottom 8n part two of this series and there was not a lot down that shaft as this mine is private, and not too many people have ventured down there. We have a few really cool episodes coming up for December and later. Thanks for the comment!👍😊

My heart sunk when Tom said he dropped a battery. I was afraid of a fire. But the video is up, all is well. That was some ladder you guys lashed up. It worked! Ore car wheels seem to be a rare thing to find. Interesting explore for sure! Thanks Tom and Julie!
Hi William. Yes, the battery took the big plunge down the shaft. The ladders worked pretty well. Mine car wheels dissappear as fast as hot pizza at a party. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍😊
Wow, that had a little bit of everything! Crazy amount of miners working there. Glad it was only your battery that took the fall, and Julie's foot ain't stopping her! See you guys next time!
Hi Lesley. Yes, good thing it was just a battery. This is a big mine. The shaft in this video is one of three. The others are much deeper. Julie is almost 100%. Thanks for commenting!👍😊
Hi Jimi. You're welcome, and thank you for watching. Lots of wine bottles here. Sometimes, we see wine bottles in the mines with a piece of light rope tied around the neck. I have never figured out what they were used for. 👍😊
Hello Tom Hello Julie Thank you for the Video and a big Thank you for All your work . Have a great weekend and a wonderfull New Week Greetings from the snow Covered Harzmountains Yours Frank Galetzka
Hi Linda. Yes, it is a huge mine, and there is much more below where we went. Hopefully, we can return in the spring and go deeper. Thanks for the comment!👍😊
Always a great fan of your channel and adventures - this time a bit more lighting (like Gly manages) would have been super nice. Thanks for taking us on the journey. 👍👍
Hay , it's my two favorite Desert Rats at it again. Hello Tom and Julie. I just have to laugh. Julie doesn't even break a finger nail or get her hands dirty. I love it, but there was still some nice copper ,and iron ,along with a trace of silver oxide here and there. Ok you two, thanks again for taking an old man along with you again. Please stay safe. Have fun. Hope to see you soon.
Hi Bob. Julie is smarter than me and doesn't beat herself up as much as I do. There are definitely some nice minerals left here. You're welcome, and thanks for watching!👍😊
Hello Tom and Julie this is a big explore on this explore you are pointing out some miner's graffiti at the beginning some of those look like cattle brands symbols maybe cowboys to miner's this is a large explore glad the owner said yes for the adventure lots to be seen thank you ⛏️
Hi Case. Yes, this is a huge mine. Maybe those are cattle brands? Thete are still a lot workings deeper in the mine. There are two other shafts over 1000 feet deep. Maybe in the spring, we will go back and go deeper. Thanks for watching and commenting!👍😊
Hi Peter. Gobbing is the mining term for unwanted rocks that the miners stacked out of the way instead of hauling them out of the mine. It was much easier to set them aside, and many times, they were stacked into a secure wall shape. Thanks for the question!👍😊
Boy that was some kind of a riccio ladder you built their😮 he got the job done 👍 there are some really cool colors in there. I enjoyed watching you guys exploring.😅 Keep it safe😂 I'm looking forward to the next video 📸🎉 tell Miss Julie I said hello 👋🤗

Hi Mike. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get any footage of us climbing the ladder. It was all hands on deck to stabilize it while we climbed. It worked pretty well but was still quite dangerous if one of us fell off of it. Still some nice minerals here. Thanks for the comment!👍😊
Some of the more vivid colors I've seen in one of y'alls' videos in that one. We'll have to get your views up so you can afford a replacement light. 🙂 - Ed on the Rudge
The coloring is amazing, im curious to see if that would hold jewelery value one day as high as gold. You just dont really see rock outside on the ground like that.
Great video! Did you happen to catch what the letters/numbers were on the base of that first bottle? I love looking those up and trying to figure out their age 😊.
Thanks. I like looking up bottle maker marks, too. I looked back at the video, and here are the marks. WF&S. ML 2 Thanks for watching and commenting. We appreciate it!👍😊
Did you watch all three parts of the series? I would guess that we saw at least a mile of underground workings plus the whole camp outside. It seemed like a lot to me. Thanks for watching. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!👍😊
Hi Al. Well, that's part of it. Also, to clear the spider webs and scare the rats off. Lol Really, it's just to give some size perspective to what we're seeing, plus she is the star of our channel. Thanks for the chuckle!👍😊
I mean copper is just not worth anything right now but its funny what the things im noticing were nothing when i was a kid are worth as much as gold today.
I think copper is around $4/pound. Apparently, it's valuable enough for people to steal it whenever they can. You're correct that the value of certain things is through the roof. Thanks for the comment!👍😊
