I'm sorry to hear. I'm from a catholic university but it's pretty much normal since it's college. I heard some crazy stories from my friends who grew up in boy's town with nuns. Paddle here there and everywhere.
She is enjoying so much what she's doing and it's so refreshing to watch it, not to mention what a great talent she has.

Junah Sotto ...well, the reason you never saw this is cuz the Catholic Church finds this type of behavior to be indecent and blasphemous. nuns are not supposed to engage in sins of the flesh. the Bible says do not let your light shine for any one but the Lord. so merely by singing songs not of God, and singing worldly songs for man in such a grandiose matter, like here, is a sin in itself. I'm not saying this is how I feel, cuz I'm not even Catholic nor would I ever choose to be. I am a Christian however and I know scripture, and I also know the ways of Catholicism and I'm pretty sure there is some really mad priests n nuns out there watching this. I think this gals really sweet and I'm glad she's feeling happy though.😇

In fact, in my point of view, the Catholic Church would be very proud to have one nun sing like this. If my Church does not approve of this, Sister Cristina wouldn't have had even the second performance. Also, the very fact that she was accompanied by fellow nuns is a manifestation of their superiors' approval. Nowhere in the Sacred Scriptures does it say that a nun cannot sing songs other than Hymns of Praise unless the lyrics explicitly and boldly defy the Roman Catholic faith. One reason why we don't get to see many nuns or priests sing on stage like her or Fr. Ray Kelly is because they are more than busy doing their vocation. If you truly know the ways of the Roman Catholic Church, you will know religious people like priests and nuns are too few compared to the people of God they serve. They are outnumbered in short. And this is The Voice Italy. It is where the Vatican City is located and Italy is a very religious country at that. This would have made major uproars but she went through to the finals and even won! Lastly, Sister Cristina herself would never have joined this competition if she saw even an ounce of malice in what she was about to undertake. Her fellow nuns and superiors would have prevented her. But she did sing on stage. I salute her indeed because apart from serving God through her vocation, she also showed to the world her God-given gift for music. In fact, many people here commented about rekindled faith and love for God after seeing her sing. If that's her way of bringing people close to God, she's very successful in doing it. Kudos to Sister Cristina!

Six years later and I’m still watching. That judge did a great job in mixing up all her song choices to give her a variety of fast, slow, serious and fun. Happy that she won!

She's only 25 yet she made a life-long commitment to serve people. Huge respect.

Even on graduating to a front line squadron, every six months, you get a 'check ride'. Fail it, and you get the chop. These guys sign on for a minimum of twelve years, and are normally serving for thirty plus years. Different job. Different dream and beliefs. Same dedication to serve.
