I didn't even try to interview Dane because he was on a mission. I've never seen anything like it he ran that rapid like ten times in the hour I was there and he walked his boat back up and did it again pretty amazing!
Hey dane, just figured i'd ask. Could you possibly make a video on your days off on what to get and what not to get starting out white water kayaking? Kinda like a in depth on what to look for in a boat etc... Cheers!
@@Aretedubs Dude. Don’t buy anything. Take a couple weekend courses first. Then take a swift water rescue.course. Take a throw bag for instance (which you mentioned). There is a ton a danger related to using a throw bag if you don’t know when and where it is appropriate to use. Also, Dane is not the person to ask for this advice. He literally grew up as a child with unlimited gear and traveling the globe kayaking everyday with his kayaking champion father. Probably isn’t gonna relate well to the average new comer.

a nomad would also be good, and if you wanna get something second hand i'd say go for a machno, but it's all prefernce! you can run class 3 in a creek boat and class 5 in a playboat, it's all about how creative you are on the river! paddle whatever makes you feel happy, safe, and most importantly, what is fun for you to paddle!
