Don't mind the video that says otherwise. I promise you, visiting and enjoying the lovely San Francisco is a lot more fun than searching the Internet all day for the sole purpose of spreading fibs about SF. That actually seems pretty boring. You have a nice day!
Im travelling to SF for a few days as part of a road trip including NY & San Diego. Im coming from England to the US at the end of this month for 2 weeks, and I can’t wait. Great video, thanks for sharing 😊
@@SanFranciscoBayAreaWalks Hi, thanks for asking. The holiday was amazing. NY was great, Central Park & The Empire State Building was unbelievable. Ny was very expensive tho! San Diego was wonderful. A day out whale watching was amazing, and the zoo was great. Got to see the beautiful Pandas. The Rd trip was something else. Stayed at Long beach, and went into LA to the observatory at night. Watched the sun set over the Hollywood hills and seeing LA lights come to life in the darkness is something I’ll never forget! Carried onto the beautiful Santa Barbara, i could happily live there, and then stayed 2 nights in Monterey. We were there for Labour Day, so we went to a Rodeo, which was great fun, went for a swim in the see, bloody freezing, ha ha. Then on to San Francisco. Went on a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge, what a sight, and then onto Muir Woods, which was beyond words. A ferry trip past Alcatraz was great, and Pier 39 was great fun. Never had any trouble, and to be honest, as we only had 2 days in the major cities, we never really left the tourist spots. The homeless was very obvious in SF, which was a great shame, but never any trouble or bother. Overall, had a wonderful lifetime holiday, with great memories.
I was hoping you would show Ghirardelli ice cream parlor, you did show the outside a little, completely different, in comparison to what I remember it’s empty, there was always a long line for the delicious ice cream, well I guess you don’t have to wait so long to enjoy wonderful ice cream
No mention here of the legendary restaurants that closed: Alioto's, Tarantino's, Fisherman's Grotto. This isn't the place where I lived in the 80's with people everywhere. We would watch the tourists on the cable cars turn blue in their shorts and tank tops on foggy summer days. That doesn't change, I'm sure.
You mean back when the Golden Gate Bridge was made of pure gold? 🤣🤣 Btw, I see you're giving SF a little more credit now, and not pushing the false ghost town, watch your feet narrative anymore. It's amusing as to why some people from afar would choose to search out videos of SF all day, simply to spread lies. How fun that must be. Have a great day. Hope it's as beautiful as the legendary San Francisco is.
When i lived in Stockton....san Francisco was my vacation spot.....i could jsve travelled...o ad 5ye money..but bsck then . SF was enough. I would splurge and stay at the sir Francis Drake..... rip......dine at the Mandarin...rip. i even wiyld flu fsnily in for a week and get the family suite at the Marina motel....so underrated. Tokyo todn snd Chelsea are super cool and not over run with tourist....at lwast as i remember....i did the old 49 mile frive snd the new one once they streamlined it. I dont wsnt to believe it's as bad as they say it is

They still have lots and lots of phenomenal restaurants that you'd probably love. Look at all those people in the following video enjoying themselves at Fisherman's Wharf, they hail from all over the world. Many of them traveled across continents to get to San Francisco. They wouldn't travel that far just to visit a mediocre place. See for yourself in the following video - ruclips.net/video/8lt20yYBsBA/видео.html You should visit, you'd enjoy yourself, also.

My grandfather worked in the cannery when it was a cannery.
That's really cool! A lot of rich history at Fisherman's Wharf.
Thanks for the comment!

This is the first time I have seen an IN and Out without a waiting line 2 blocks long.
🍎

Is this recently as in June/july 2024? I thought FW was dead
Yes, it's recent. It gets extremely busy at Fisherman's Wharf, and Pier 39. Anyone that says otherwise, is simply not telling the truth.

When a tourist destination, you ride the economic highs and lows. There's alot of the US that is no longer her former self. 😢

It looks like a ghost town.
San Francisco also has a lot of great optometrists. 👓
Now Metal Leo ruclips.net/video/qQdjksr4t14/видео.html would suggest that fisherman's Wharf was closed up ad deserted.
Perhaps he meant desserted, because Fisherman's Wharf has a ton of eateries to get dessert at.
Thanks for the comment!

Touristy shit shops open, quality restaurants ALL CLOSED! Are ya happy now Gavin?

With no business, they will all have to shut down eventually!
Lucky for them, they are getting plenty of business.
the worst of San Francisco-eyesore, t-shirt and souvenir shops, bad, overpriced food-from a local.
I actually like the Fisherman's Wharf area.
Just filled with useless over-price 💩💩💩💩
