Wow! Great review @TheKurtlocker! I've been wanting this bench since the Lock downs/quarantine--but it was always sold out. I really want it for chest presses and improving my bench press.
I have this bench with the standard pad. Really like it. Only complaint I have is that my bench is not completely level. It is slightly off to the right side.
Hi, you know if the rep wide pad can be installed on the Rogue monster flat bench? I like more the Rogue bench, but like more a 17 inch bench vas 17.5 as I am very shorts. And I want to bench press in fat AND wide pad. Thank you!
I have not actually seen the bench in person. It appears to be a solid bench but I don’t feel comfortable speculating without experience. Thank you for watching
HEY KURT this is a rather specific question. How wide is the leg that holds the base with the wheels? I have a Rogue Bench Prop and am trying to find a bench that can fit into it. The FB-4000 fits but you have to spin the wheels around, making them useless.
I have the Stray Dog Alpha Adjustable. The rep is solid for the money but it’s not nearly as nice as my Stray Dog bench. KL10 saves you 10% with them as well
@TheKurtlocker thx buddy appreciate it. It wouldnt give me the option over here in canada.it worked through your link.i find the wide pad was not as comfortable for my style of benching .super nice pads tho.
Loved this review, Kurt! Debated getting a wide pad for a long time and ended up pulling the trigger on one. Really glad I did. Also, @Average Dad Reviews Fitness did a review on this bench with a wide pad too.
@@TheKurtlocker Yes I owned it for a month. Then I promptly sold it. It would tip to one side when doing seated lateral raises, seated shoulder presses, and one arm db rows. I saw it rocking in your video while you were doing one arm rows. Older design benches with two feet are much more stable.
@reconstructionwouldhavesav9472 during rows and such there is some instability but nothing that made me feel like it was gonna tip over. Fair critique though. Thank you
@@TheKurtlocker I understand it is a trade-off for many lifters to be able to power through their feet with the bench press. It just too bad because the FB 5000 was one of my favorite benches due to the wide pad option. I feel a wide pad is essential for superior shoulder stability for heavy benching and one arm dumbell bench presses. And not many flat benches or f.i.d. benches offer a wide pad option. TItan Hefty V2 with front and back feet was discontinued. Only other widepad option with front and back feet is the B.O.S. Hero bench.
Love seeing how far you and your gym has come in these 2 years. Keep it up man!
Thank you! Definitely have grown past what garage gym 4.0 has room for. Crazy what can happen when you build a gym over 10 total years
@TheKurtlocker yeah I came across this video while looking to sell my my fb5000 and I was like damn that wall is empty and no rack hahah
Solid review for a solid bench!
Thanks Brandon! I appreciate your time!
now this a review! I like that you showed the bench in the upright position.
Thanks for watching and I hope this helped you
Your faith in those french cleats with the bar weight is admirable! What angle do you use for the mating surface?
45 degrees. No issues and they’ve been there for over a year now

It’s available now and Rep shipping is even better with two warehouses.
I use my Rogue AB-3 for hip thrust, because it is heavier and does not rock or move. My FB-5000 is used for other activities with weights.
I love that generalization! Thank you for watching.
I have this bench with the standard pad. Really like it. Only complaint I have is that my bench is not completely level. It is slightly off to the right side.
Have you tried messing with the bolts to straighten it out? I’m wondering if that could be part of it.
@@TheKurtlocker I have tried that. I contacted REP to get new footings but they have not given me a clear response back.
I love my fb-5000. Very clean minimal gym you got there but what happened to your power rack?
Upgrading to the Surplus Strength rack!
Nice review! Lol I kept staring at that mbpc 4 grip fat bar. Can you do a review on that if you get a a chance?
I absolutely can as soon as my new rack and UPH high and low come in! Thank you for watching.

I can’t speak to the standard spacing of the rep mounting points and if they line up with the rogue brackets.
What's your opinion on the bells of steel flat bench with the 4" pad. I got it and it's a tank. Just wanted to hear your thoughts
I have not actually seen the bench in person. It appears to be a solid bench but I don’t feel comfortable speculating without experience. Thank you for watching
Rep also makes a wall hanger that works with the FB5000 if you don’t want to stand up
Good to know, I personally wasn’t interested because the wife isn’t gonna pull it off the wall.
Solid review
Thank you

I do not own this bench anymore. I’m sorry I am unable to get that measurement for you
@@TheKurtlocker no worries I'll contact Rep, thanks for the reply and the reviews
Thanks for watching!
Si, what bench do you have now? And how It compares to the FB5000?
I have the Stray Dog Alpha Adjustable. The rep is solid for the money but it’s not nearly as nice as my Stray Dog bench. KL10 saves you 10% with them as well
This vs rogué monster bench vs Griffin?
Thank you!
Unfortunately I don’t have either of those to compare them to.
Any idea how you can buy the standard 12 inch pad? I have the wide one and cant find the standard one on there site

@tadleyironwood7595 I totally get it. Wide pads don’t work for everyone.

I thought it was 13.75" wide and not 14" - Am I mistaken?
OK. Yeah. You showed the specs on the screen @ 13.75" width. Just said 14" many times.
Anyone get this in raw clear coat?
I love the look from the photos I have seen
Unstable bench due to narrow single post on front.
I did not find this to be unstable while benching. Are you speaking from experience?

I think no bench should move like that, regardless if ITS a tripod bench!. The base of the front post should be More wide.
I agree
