I'm trying to get the Lyne Rendmond's frame drum intensive lessons, but the only way to buy it online is on her website but it saidnis delivered on DVD.. so I'm not sure if is just a confusion or if when I pay I will get them in digital version. Or can I get the course with you? I've been exploring the tambourine for sometime, trying to find a deeper way to understand rhythm and my drum, but I mostly find very technical stuff, but when I found Lyne's approach I immediately knew this was what I was looking for. Can you help me?

OK, I’m back, and let’s see if I can help direct you. Yes, when you purchase on her website, there is someone there who emails you the downloadable MP3s. But then please remember that you then need to email them and ask for the PDFs that go with those! Someone mentioned this to me, which is what I did, so that I was able to get the written out version of Layne‘s work. Unfortunately, the deeper spiritual meaning may not be there in these recordings. To be honest, I have not viewed them or worked with them, even though I purchased them three years ago, because I have the original version of her material when I was studying with her in person in the late 90s. And back, then, the recordings were on cassette tape lol and then she created some practice material on CD. It was all primarily to support us in our home practice time between our in-person weekend trainings once a month. Since she passed away in 2013, I don’t know that there is anything else of her teachings available. Her RUclips channel has also disappeared. I am working diligently with others to try and remedy this! We really need for her work to be more visible in the world, and her legacy needs to continue. Because, as I believe you’re saying, there are much deeper and more spiritual dimensions to her work than anyone else’s. And her book, “When the Drummers Were Women: a Spiritual History of Rhythm”, shows us that. Over this past summer, I discovered in my computer, that I myself had a one hour video of one of her lecture presentations that she gave in the later part of her life! I have it published here on my RUclips channel. She connects so many dots between multidisciplinary topics. It’s a little mind-blowing, lol. It all goes way deeper than just the drum. It’s about the pulse of all life that runs through everything in the universe. She was brilliant! And did not get the credit she’s so deserved. As a Layne Redmond Legacy, senior teacher (and there are fewer and fewer of us on the planet as we all age out, and several of us have already passed away), I feel such a huge responsibility and regained purpose in my life, knowing that there are people like you out there who are hungry for this knowledge and wanting to tap into this rhythmic wisdom. My dad is a drummer, and I used to play the drums when I was in high school, so I have some sense of rhythm. However, I stopped for many years. I think life gave me an initial spark at that time because I was about to fall in love with the tambourine here in Egypt, where I've been living for some time now (I'm originally from Colombia). The thing is, I was not able to find something deeper than just techniques and people showing how fast they can play. I don't want to play fast; I want to feel and move others. I saw this in Layne's work, and I saw the same in your playing. That is exactly what I need. I will get the online material because I'm at an early stage and I prefer to have a solid foundation in the basics before going for one-to-one sessions.
