    great video, I enjoyed watching. It is good that you put in Nemoto and Kawawada and Yasunori because all we see in most of the videos are Tanaka, Yahara and Kagawa which are the most famous....this puts a new light on the others. Thanks and keep up the good work, oss! Serbia @nenadvucicevic

      Truth is they respected him. There was some curiosity about why he never showed up at the Hombu for six months or more to train. He would have been welcome. As for training to beat him, that's not true in any important sense. All the best guys back then were like 5-7 so they were always trying to improve their skills against bigger guys. Brennan was bigger, and he had lots of skill, and he wasn't intimidated.

    The clip that you show of Kagawa with George Best is a fight that Kagawa lost while holding the title of world champion. In fact George beat Kagawa twice during the same tournament. Osu 🥋

    Tough to say:
    Kokubon, Ogata, Sakata, Yamamoto, Yahara, Naka, Taniyama, maybe Brennan. Osaka could fight in the early days too.

    You could add Shane Dorfman to the list...he was bred to do karate. He is propably one of the most efficient figters ever. All his kicks and punches finds the target

      I mean Tanaka sensei's opponent. My recollection is that Oishi was known for his oi-zuki, which is the technique attempted

      Kyushin karate is combination of 2 shotokan and gurju ryu technique and power shotokan can be learned by all age groups due to its simplicity.

      @@reyilenox6598 I have tasted when I was 21 yearsold took direct hit to chin during fight or kumite with 10 trainees but got litle cut on tongue was able to partialy block the attack otherwise could have taken more injury.

    This is the most biased and inaccurate list . There are many none Japanese fighters that had far better records and who these fighters really struggled to deal with . Brennan , Best , O’Neil , Hall , Trimble etc …
    Simply put British karate dominated karate competition for years and the entire Japanese team trained to beat Brennan prior to the 1990 world championships. He was that formidable. I think this reverence of Japanese fighters is misplaced and granted all great fighters . Watch Kagawa fight George Best for the world title . He lost !! He not only lost , he was ragged around and overwhelmed . Grow up and do a proper list !!!
