one time i got so high i started crying over how talented alex turner is
this has actually happened to me too...
That’s beautiful
I don't need to be high to cry over his talent
@@orlanepuchalski7765 You just said what I wanted to say
You aren't the only one and I'm a guy LMAO
Alex playing piano gives me 5 years more of life.
Hehe you know
haha so cute both of you, they're in joy, it gives pleasure to everyone who's got taste
He plays piano on 505
play two notes in 505 doesn't makes you a pianist, but in this video he is!
Joao Pedro chords*
Alex Turners voice has gotten so much better over the years. It's gone from decent to brilliant
technically true but i really love a bitta shouty shouty vocalisation myself
it's like wine the older it gets the better it becomes, as for Paolo (Nutini)
like a strong cheese
Fucking decent? More like, insanely brilliant to perfect but ALRIGHT MATE.
he started singing during his puberty hence why his voice was very raspy and squeaky at times. but he constantly trained and by the time it was over his voice got very ''fancy'' and deep. also if you listen to his early stuff with AM he was constantly shouting to cover up the voice cracking but now he sings jazzier and blues and low notes because his voice doesn't crack anymore you can hear the difference if you just listen to his first album with AM and compare it to his latest work.
best 2 songs to compare is:
from ritz to rubbles (first AM album)
to
sweet dreams, TN (TLSP album)
2 voices that are perfect for each other
Listened to this album ritually for a year
Like Lennon McCartney
2:12 Miles is bobbing his head like "yes baby play that piano you're doing great"
Although some idiots hates on him because he is not the shy indie rocker anymore, what Alex Turner has done for music in the past 10 years is amazing. One of the best musicians out there right now, along with Kevin Parker and Josh Homme. Solid career with Arctic Monkeys and The Last Shadow Puppets, genius lyricist, outstanding composer and singer, an overall good guitar player and not lazy at all; He is constantly releasing songs. Without a doubt a future legend. I'm proud of him :)
same
YES MAN.
Couldnt of put it better myself. Just imagine if he paired up with Thom Yorke!!!
Bravo!!
Alex Turner in a nutshell. Finally some credits for the overall underappreciated lyrical genius. Thumbs up!
Call Me By Your Name (2017)
Why you only call me by your name?
Oh you have no IDEA how fast i would go to see that
This is pure fucking class
Well said
Can we also talk about how Miles is awesome at singing
He really is just an average singer/songwriter though. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Miles Kane but when it boils down to it, he really is just average.
Nik Cain Yeah he is, he doesn’t even have a “signature voice” or a peculiar sound. He just sings in tune hahah love him though!
Sarasmad Id say his voice is pretty recognisable with that strong scouse accent, at least on TLSP 1.
yess miles is amazing
Rory Whelan bruh he isn’t scouse
Can we talk about how Miles is singing so beautifully and softly and it's so lovely? When he does that and Alex is being his magic realism self, goodness gratious, this is soul fullfilling.
TLSP is life.
beautiful comment
Miles: Where is love?
Alex (echoes): Where is love?
TLSP: There it is
Do you know what song it is?
'Where is love?'
'......there it is'
It's actually unfair how people as talented as Alex Turner can exist.
I wish he was real.
Don't get why people only seem to notice/praise Alex in this duo act. Alex is absolutely brilliant but Miles has been nothing short of an equal partner, he has the grit, the style, the charisma, the chaotic rock n roll funkyness, and a very unique lennon-esque voice. He brings a darker psychedelic influence to the act's songwritings that makes these records so stunningly different from AM. He deserves more appreciation and love, I mean even Alex Turner worships him!
fr
Agreed, he's so wonderful and talented❤
in the beginning i died. i can't stop thinking Al's beauty. Not just his face. His voice, his everything. I love him so much. And his voice oh my god i can't breathe. ALEX LEAVE ME ALONE I HAVE A LIFE TOO
P.S: HIS VOICE
trash kid Ah ma gash, both of their voices is like listening to 2 angels, Alex playing piano and his beauty 💜
my favorite color is eggs maybe Alex is everything you’ve come to expected
the way they harmonize with each other oh ma gah
The way Alex sings “impulse” at the end of he first verse is beyond phenomenal.
And get someone in your life the way miles looks at alex after the chorus 😂
I noticed that impulse bit as well, it's sung so softly it almost sounds like 2009 alex
everytime i hear the "i'm the baddie's daddy" i scream internally
S.A.M.E
I love how The Last Shadow Puppets shows us another taste of Alex's voice
It's so interesting how his voice is different from AM to TLSP
A perfect couple.
Alex’s high vocals are on point
My oh my when they'll be old and fragile in Slippers n rocking chairs singing dreadful songs about summer they will be looking at each other saying I'm glad I met you . it makes me cry
STOP IT thats so true tho
Adriana Giovanna some people may even disagree with me but I bet they will not get married just in order to stay with eachother , old , happy , and satisfied
they will get married bc the fandom says so
..to each other
Andrew Cruz crying at your own imagination and fantasy. sensitive you are
I just love them saying "daddy" idk why but goD.
They are daddies for sure
i just came back from the dentist and i'm pretty fucking high and not in the right state of mind so this is my dead brain talking but i love the way alex has his eyes closed while singing but opens them a few times to look at the piano and the way miles is doing the hand thing right before the chorus, really feeling the song, and the way alex looks up at miles towards the end and the camera angles are dank and this vibe is so chill i love this performance, probably my favorite one
clara weird lol I was reading the miles hand part while it was playing in the video.
Violeta Tiamson Omg same haha
Fave comment ahaha
I didn't like this song until I've found this version... now I'm addicted to it
have you come to appreciate the album version more?
No, I think this one's better
The first time I listened to the song (the whole album) I was in a public van otw home and it was about sunset. Somehow that gave me a feeling I can't explain but I really liked it, it was kinda sensual sad whatever. From then on I got addicted lol.
same! it's way better compared to the album version
Yea often when songs are stripped back u can feel the quality in them - that was me with the Beatles song 'Dont Let Me Down', I LOVED their live rooftop version waaaay better
They are so in sync it's mindblowing. Just a beautiful performance :)
Tiger eyelashes, summer wine

Nadin White thank you...
Nadin White thanks
i love the first 45 seconds of this video so much
best version ever, including the beginning.
This is my favorite version instead of the original one!!! I love the way Miles and Alex harmonize as different tones that's perfect!
Better than any pop song in the charts right now, why doesn't this get in the charts
bc the charts are shit
Breathtaking performance!.. The true spirit of tlsp is here. Their amazing voices create a perfect harmony, it's so beautiful it makes me cry... And to see Alex playing the piano is pure magic
Just a few chords + Alex and miles = magic
This is best version of this song I think. And wow, Alex is become such a musician. I remember when he was young and that voice is, wow.
I think this is the best live version of this song
God Miles is so good, so underrated
Miles voice is so smooth... believe me, i love Alex as the next millenial, but is Miles who brings depth to the sound. Such an incredible duo.
How can their voices sound so perfect
love how people try to throw a subtle or not so subtle diss at them. WHATEVER when these 2 get together it is musical magic magnificence! this was really fun to watch! sexy, talented beasts!
STAYS BETWEEN US STEINWAY AND HIS SONS
were they doing some sort of impersonation in the beginning? alex voice was classic there.
I think they were singing a song from the musical "Oliver!" called "Where Is Love"
+Vangelis Kaps oh ok.
Sadly, it has nothing to do with that song from "Oliver!". I'm still wondering what it is.
DearBear I think it might be the song where is love by the equatics. that song sounds a bit closer to what they were doing
Iºve been watching and listening to this on repeat.. am I ok?
learning to play this on piano has been such a satisfying experience
same
sheet?
Erik just learn the chords of the song and the fingering for the chords on piano
yes, but for that i need a sheet
no you don't
Didn't know Alex could play piano. That's cool !
505?
+Comforted Paranoia well it's easy af, so you don't have to play piano for 505
Good point
Came from the future to say TBHC is out
Daniel Souto kkkaksksksks
is this what heaven sounds/looks like? I'm pretty sure it is...
alex looks so ethereal
It stays between us, Steinway and his sons…
🥲
I had the same thought…..
This song gives me serotonin
this is my comfort video 🥺
but seriously tho what is that voice Alex does in the beginning of the video? Sounds so different from the one he uses during interviews. Either way he's still a talented lad, could only wish to have half his talent.
Think he's taking piss and putting a posher voice on as is Miles
were they doing an impersonation or something?
Singing a song from a musical. Trying to replicate that sort of posh voice
it’s part of the aesthetic
Abcd Abc what musical is it from??
OMG. This is pure beauty. I´d totally be Miles looking at Alex playing the piano in the solo part. Like, the best man alive in the world is rigth in front of you playing, you can only appreciate his talente.
I love them. Thanks to the universe I live in the same time they do.
that beginning gets me every time
So in love with this version. 🥺❤️🔥
Oh my God their voices! My ears are so blessed.
Now, someone please tell me: how the heck did they manage to get this footage to look so vintage? Camera? FX? It seems like it was filmed 40 years ago oO.. it's actually mindblowing.. no one else noticed this?
Péricles Serotini no, no, i was thinking the same thing; it's such an aesthetically pleasing video
Probly toyed around with contrast, saturation, and maybe noise in the camera settings, fairly simple to make, the only thing really necessary and special are the halogen lights, good bright lightbulbs in the right place and angle, otherwise it would end up looking fuzzy, ugly and cheap
Alex is notoriously known for old cameras. He does use them when making videos, along with old tapes and old TVs.
it's all about the lights and eventually a lot of color grading at the moment of editing the whole thing, I'm pretty sure the camera itself has nothing to do with this
these two are just perfect every thing we have come to expect love them
this is where alex get the idea of tbh&c
Gold, pure and beauty gold
THIS IS SO GOOD. This music always makes me feel good and forget about the world.
"We have yet to hear back from health and safety on that." said so matter of factly in his normal non-stage voice took me out completely
"Now we're getting somewhere" almost sounding like his boy 19 year old voice 😭😭😭
this is the greatest video I've seen in my whole life
53 dislikers absolutely clueless how good this is.
That line, 'As I walk through the Chalet of the shadow of Death,' its so great. I come back to this song just to hear that line. The whole song could be from an unfinished F. Scott Fitzgerald manuscript, it has that Lost Generation cadence to it.
1:12 I love that harmony sm omg
Love this song love the album
eargasm
"At that point the cannon ball WILL!! fire"
“We are yet to hear back from the health and safety on that one”
Namore alguem que te olhe como o Miles olha o Alex tocando piano
This is the most beautiful thing in the world.
I'm loving Miles' vocals tho♥
This song is so melancholich ı remember humbug era
i love this so much alex and miles are such a great duo
Both amazing, incredible song, I'm in awe
I just can't get the thought of you and him out of my head!
everything about this is so perfect and beautiful i cant handle it🙏🏼🙏🏼💕
Λατρεία ❤
this is so beautiful I cried (literally)
Their voices makes pure magic together, I miss them so much
I don't know how could I live this whole time without this video.
God blessed whoever directed this.
i come back to this every day
I come back after some years
Divina. Perfecta. Par de enormes genios!
woah alex's voice in the beginning!
oh god, it's so good to listen and watch, love it ❤
This is perfect🙌🏼😍
Everyone complaining about Alex's piano skills just listen to the studio version first. The song just goes like that and he stays true to it
2023?
I love Alex to death, but in all honesty I feel that nowadays he purposely deepens his voice for a more manly impression. This song demonstrates the hidden vocal range that he has, and it is just pure bliss.
I think Alex uses his ability to sing high notes mainly for spicing up specific parts of songs.
Loads of singers dont sing in their normal voice. Micheal Jackson had a really deep private voice, and Freddie Mercury was a baritone when talking but much higher when singing.
The voice normally deepens with age. And Alex IS getting older. I think that he is using what he has very well.
So beautiful I love them
favourite song off the second album but I honestly might like this rendition even more
So beautiful
Wow I love their voices together
Best duet of all time
Arte sin duda.
so great! thanks for sharing
I'm going to miss them 😭
Just beautiful! ♡
man, i love this song
Una obra de arte.
Wow... love this live ...
this video and them are so beautiful
