- The G is easily my favourite Panther variant because it feels like the best brawler and then being a Panther, it smacks things at range as well. I enjoy its versatility, but it does feel quite heavy for a medium tank. I’ve got two games in the Panther G for you today at Ardennes in winter and Sinai. Enjoy!

4:55 the shell did fuse but the fuse has a delay. so when the round fuses it travels 1-1.5 meters before detonating¸. So the shell did fuse but detonated outside the tank since it struck the metal plate from the inside of the tank and penetrated to outside of the tank

also the reason why it feels so heavy is because it is,its actually about as heavy as an IS 1 heavy tank.
To be fair, they tried to save as much weight as possible when designing IS-1/IS-2 tank.

I love the self analysis. Tracks have auto repaired for a while now. You can still drive but it will stop the repair unlike wiht F which stops you from driving.
When you push a corner in the Panther, try and angle the front plate to eat the shot for you. It'll help when you play Tiger 2 later. If you can, bait with the front plate.
Also, the amount of Panther mains in the forums who say things like "the Panther doesn't have enough HE to one shot." is insane.

5:10 that shot fuzed after exploding the singular ammunition simply because of how it works, the round had enough total “armour” to enable the shell to fuze, and that the shell fuzed after the shell fuze distance, you can check in the shell statistics
5:04 The shell over penetrated and went outside the tank to then explode (it happens a lot if you do wacky shots like those)
That bino snipe is a great strat when you get the hang of it, if you know the range set your range and then pop into your bino and look at the target you’ll notice your gun circle is above your sight circle, you can now fire and hopefully hit that fucker that’s hiding behind something
That drivers hatch shot on the IS is very risky, always go for the lower plate, or where the lower front plate meets the upper front plate, guaranteed kill
0:45 Just a little tip, you don't actually need to pull up the big map to ping an enemy. If you press and hold ALT while being in game you can use your cursor to make pings via the mini map too :D
One little thing, you can mark things on your minimap when holding alt to get the mouse cursor on your screen and the clicking left mouse on whatever spot you want to mark. It's in my experience a bit faster than bringing up the big map even if it's a bit less precise. Getting the rough area of a flanking enemy is more important than a pinpoint mark that can be outdated within seconds. It also doesn't interrupt your in game awareness as much, but maybe bringing up the big map works better for you.
oh yeah, on top of that. Assign a button of your choosing to "set target for squad" under common control options. this creates a yellow marker on anything you're looking at. Only your squad and you can see it but it makes it easier for you to create the general map markers all team mates get or even call artillery. It requires a bit of fiddling because sometimes you could've sworn you aimed at a hill but the marker is way out of bounds. But if there's an enemy near a distinct building just aim at that building, press whatever button you assigned to the squad mark (for me it's the middle mouse button) and then left click on the map to warn your entire team.

I played the panthers a lot a few years ago when the br for them was slightly lower. The gun is so good.
7:20 when you lose a track it will automatically start repairing, the difference between a normal repair and an auto track repair is that you can still turn the tank but that will cancel the reapair, also i'd replace the panthers with the tiger 2 if i was you, both tiger 2s have a great gun that can punch a hole in pretty much any tank, almost invinsible frontal armor and actual reverse speed unlike the panthers 4kph in reverse, quick tip for the tiger 2, try to wiggle your tank and turret while reloading if you miss a shot and can't get to cover, that will make the weak spot on your turret change constantly since its volumetric
As an avid user of the m36. The panther G feels alot like it due to increased turret rotation; so I do pretty well w/ it @ (91K/30D). Although the agility(neutral steering) is a let down, so situational awareness is critical when using this tank; as reacting when a tank is almost on your tail is pretty much death.
Always pay attention to allies near, as teammates (most of the time) are life-insurance; as soon as teammates starting dropping, you gotta use that tactical retreat (use that smoke grenades 2)

Technically, the Panther is more of a heavy tank than a light tank. In World War II, the Wehrmacht categorized tanks by caliber. Thus, the Tiger with an 8.8mm was a heavy tank and since the Panther had a 7.5mm, it was categorized as a light tank. Other nations, however, categorized by armor.
About the scene at 4:59, I would explain it like this: the ammunition is supposed to explode inside a tank after penetrating a certain thickness of armor. That's why they say that no armor is the best armor, because the explosion isn't triggered. Maybe the thickness of the ammunition triggered the explosion in the first place and the projectile thought that it was THEN in the middle of the tank xD

trust me when I say this, you will have a LOT of fun with the Tiger II (H). other than mobility, if you want mobility, the Sla.16 is a premium tiger 2 with a better engine

Hey, just a tip for map pinging, you dont have to go to the hole "spawn in" screen and click on the map, you can hold alt and press the minimap on the bottom right and ping wherever you wish
Also the little car is an R3 and yes, it is italian
The Panthers used to be quick and mobile. Then they nerfed ground pressure and then engine power through gouvener. *sadness noises*
Panther G is a beast, but i preffer Panther F, because of the rangefinder
I think the quick Italian thing was an AUBL 74 or whatever the thing is called
on a side note now that we are talking about Italy you should try the AS 42 and/or the AS 42/47 they are quite busted for their br.
5:48 destructible objects such as the wooden shack don't render at all if you're far enough away (especially on ULQ)
Also dirt mounds do the same thing (I think?) but someone has to confirm that
some dirt and a whole lot of rocks 100% do that. at least on ULQ. my pc cant handle the other presets 😅
rocks and terrain have 2 ''rendering stages''
1: the full render, is when u are close enough and the terrain be it snow or sand is fully there, even if it has no hitbox, or the rocks being their full hitbox
2: partial render, is when u are far enough away that the terrain or rocks are loaded in, but there is some parts missing, like a layer of the hitbox is not rendered but still exists
u can test that using binos or the gun scope and move closer or away from objects in custom battles, sinai is a good one to test that hitbox thing because the stupid rocks are bigger than u think

Tracked the side of the tank using a perspective tracker available in the editing software I use (DaVinci Resolve)
Now that you mention it, I have the same thing going on. I seem to have precognition; like actually I see future, perfect predictions and then I don't do anything about it. I know what will happen when I drive around the corner. Do I still hold W and get oneshot by the guy camping around said corner? Absolutely. Sometimes I go "Hey, going accross this field will get me killed, there is usually snipers watching this area." then drive out anyways and promptly explode as a 122 aphe shell caves in my skull. I dont know why I do this but I just do

Hey man you're during amazing! Personally I never really grinded the panther line other then g I did the tigers instead...but still they are very great when used properly! Just a bit of a warning as a 9.3 german main I the high tier playstyle is rather different then middle...your amour is no where near as good at taking shots at that br range...(8.0 to like 9.3) I dunno about 10+ but anyway your amour can let you get one-shot almost every time...especially the first leopard...so it's better as a peek a boo or sniper
I like the Panther F more because it has a faster reload.

In the beginning you had 2 out of 4 Crew members so yes, your tank will be traversing terribly. However, the reverse gear is absolutely terrible and it is quite heavy compared to other more versatile medium tanks at 6.0.

Germany IRL classed the Panther as a medium because it was used like a medium tank, its not based on the tanks weight
