The fact that Tanjiro was that angry and still gave her mercy while she didn't give them any is what makes Tanjiro a genuine kind person.
True. He doesn't forgive her what she did to the other demon slayers but he understand and sympathize her situation because they are tragic creatures who were once human and a victim of Muzan

My take on this scene is that inosuke is so intact with his animal senses, he has like a 6th sense to him and immediately recognizes the burning hate and intentions of tanjiro in this moment. Animals are only able to sense danger/safety, which is why they possess the ability to immediately switch from fight or flight mode in reality. Human's can't do this, but since inosuke is so intact with that animal instinct it allows him to sense danger - he know's how dangerous tanjiro can really be and immediately freezes in his tracks.

Y'know the funny thing is, Inosuke had been trying to provoke him all the time, especially at dinner or several conversations. But this scene, when the man really really gets angry. He shudders at the sight.
Ikr I feel like this moment is like when a proud alpha wolf tries recklessly nipping at what looks like a carefree brown bear but then it turns out to be a fearsome Kodiak bear. The moment Tanjiro is _actually_ ticked off, Inosuke is so shaken by the sheer bloodlust that he genuinely can't even move or speak for fear of setting Tanjiro off on him.

What was actually being observed was a family unit where one parent guarded the children and the other attacked the prey. However the original researcher saw the one attacking the prey and misinterpreted it as a male asserting dominance through aggressive action while on the hunt
He realized tanjiro doesnt do useless or small anger only anger that has a target that earned the full unrestrained release of said anger.
There's a difference between annoyance and rage and righteous anger. Inosuke was merely trying to tick him off out of annoyance, but in this case, he knows that Tanjiro has this pent up righteous anger and rage in him for the callousness of the demon who had the audacity to take a life in front of him
One thing we can all agree: never piss off a nice person! That's an sight of rage and anger you don't wanna see.

I've learnt from tanjiro, Just dont piss off a good guy, if a person is secretly having trouble in their background but still being a gentle person, they're holding it in, if you piss them off, all of that rage and wrath will hit you at once and you prob. Won't have 2 arms anymore.

The truth is that by laughing and grinning anger is processed and expressed differently. Animals show their teeth as a defense just as we humans do when we laugh. Tanjiro often shows a friendly face. This scene gives an insight into what it really looks like inside him.

Idk why but this anime makes me feel the presence of its characters and I can feel how strong they are from it!
I agree what I have loved so much from this anime is if a character is strong almost every single time it gets brought up it can be explained these characters are as strong as they are from training their whole lifes for one or simply put becoming a demon most animes now a days don't explain where a characters strength really comes from and how they were even able to achieve it

After watching daki vs tanjiro, the hair/rage foreshadowing of Yoriichi Tsugikuni gave me chills in this scene
Inosuke probably has sensed the that if even for some seconds the rage inside tanjiro comes out it would be the worst moment of that guys life who provoke him and well daki is the best example

Being able to be in the presence of a person that is a special case where you can feel the hate and anger almost radiating off of them when they are angry is a other worldly experience.

I love how this is later expanded upon in season 2 when he is enraged by daki killing the civilians of the entertainment district. I forgot this scene happened in season 1 so it's nice to see it again after watching that
