If you follow the same steps than it will be your display issue,
you may go to view and then change setting to show pattern and other items.

You have to install some packages according to the operating system

go to view option and change display setting to resolve this issue

Two possibilities, Either you couldn't select the pdf2 file during import database
or and antivirus or other software croupted the setup file
