The one thing the 2013-2015 players will remember is the prime of GTA. No flying bikes, no jets (Unless you took it from the base), no orb cannon and more. GTA is still fun but prime was something else... Just getting home from school telling your friend to get on and make money and fight at the beach. Times have changed

    • @ReReGotBootyCheeks
      @ReReGotBootyCheeks 5 месяцев назад +11

actually, we did have jets ogs would steal them from the base and go around griefing also, if you were know anything about the game back in 2013 we had Battle of Whiskey River jet dogfight so that proves you don’t really know what you’re talking about

In 2013 I got $150,000,000 gifted to me after the first night of release from a zero day hacker in a public lobby. The guy had the Adder and I asked him how he got it. He said hold on a minute and I'll show you...... stays in lobby but went silent. Accepted a friend's invite after 5 minutes of nothing, and as I was heading to a friend's lobby the message came up and read "you have been gifted $150,000,000 from...." and then I was in another lobby.
If you're out there reading this, you changed my whole experience bro, Rockstar didn't. Thanks, I never got the chance to say that.

Rooftop Rumble used to pay out about $18,000. All the contact missions had set payouts back then. Certain missions payed out more but weren't necessarily harder or took longer to complete. Rockstar literally changed the mission payout system to time-based, because so many players would just grind the highest paying missions, for hours on end, myself included.

Except most of the times, it resulted in you getting your account banned/reset. I remember it being one of the ways modders would troll players. They would spawn on random players and just start dropping tons of money around them, making it impossible for the players to avoid picking up the money. And since those players would be obtaining large amounts of money much faster than possible in the game, it would trigger the anti-cheat systems and result in your account getting banned or reset by RockStar unless you could prove that it was a modder trolling you.

I vividly remember being high enough level to have both the grenade launcher and being able to unlock rooftop rumble as missions you were called up for.
Originally before patches came in, you were actually awared 70k for completing the mission as a fixed reward, and with the precise aim with a grenade launcher, you could finish this mission in under 30 seconds from where you spawn on the replay every time.
Me and my friend did this for about 3 to 4 hours on friday night at the end of a school week and then spent saturday and sunday showing off all our cars and apartments to the rest of the group. It was soon patched after we did this, but we were able to make millions and at the time before any dlc dropped, having over 10 million in your bank was considered crazy.

4:00 People seem to have forget the real reason rooftop rumble was grinded. It was because the briefcase didn't actually have to be picked up and delivered to Madrazo. You'd go up to the hedge on the eastern side of the garage, shoot a grenade launcher to destroy the case and the mission would instantly complete. Then in the next screen you just pressed "replay mission" because that was a thing back then, you'd spawn right next to the hedge, take cover, fire, mission completed. People were level 200 within a day of release abusing rooftop rumble

Man back in the day we were a group of 5 grinding different missions like A Titan of A Job, Rooftop Rumble and a bunch of races. Our goal was to all get a Tank. I didn’t ever really play in Public sessions back then and now so I’ve never witnessed the carnage. But when we all had the Tanks we popped into an open lobby, called em in and wrecked almost everyone. I remember in some lobby’s there was a singular tank “griefing” but then our squad came along and bullied them out of the session. Good times.

I don't remember that about the Lazer, but the tank for sure. It got nerfed to the point of being basically useless. Back in those early days I remember spending loads of time doing a popular car resell glitch. It has been so long so I don’t remember the process entirely but this glitch was a lobby hoping glitch that allowed you to sell your personal vehicle while keeping it. Once you could afford the Adder you’d upgrade it fully and sell it over and over for around 700k each time. Spent countless hours doing this attaining hundreds of millions. When they patched it you could only sell a vehicle once while still keeping it. After selling the game wouldn’t technically recognize the vehicle as yours and would give you a message that tells you that your vehicle is too expensive to sell leaving you now permanently stuck with that vehicle. I still to this day have several cars that cannot be sold and are stuck in my garage forever.

Rooftop rumble is a thing we did a lot, I also did the merryweather thing. I remember that before I got GTA 5 on PS3 and my family members on there helped me rank up, I had it on Xbox 360 and me and my friend would spend any money we had on sticky bombs and we’d steal cars and drive into people with the stickies attached. Good times.

rooftop rumble got nerfed so many times, initially the meta was to just blow up all the cars and take the briefcase, rockstar made the briefcase destroyable.
chemical extraction was also grinded a lot to the point it was removed and changed to a heist setup mission.
i'm going to assume that mission where you steal the car full of weed from the weed farm doesn't exist anymore (not gonna check. i grinded that one a lot)
i recall launch day in the span of two hours i never even got the privilege to see another player as the servers were so bogged it kept crashing and kicking me out, and the first time it happened it also deleted my character.
there were actually a couple of walls they forgot to put collision on, you could climb behind them and become basically invincible. one you could exploit while on one of the survival missions in the desert, but instead of fixing the clipping, they made going near it a failure condition.
after years of the nerfing fun and replacing it with nothing, and with rockstar treating players like piggy banks the entire time, i quit playing this failure of game.

Y’all. We’re all touching 30 or already have. This was a crazy throwback. Haven’t finished yet, but the money glitch of choice around day one was duping cars. It was so easy. You’d literally fully mod a Dominator, sell it, then switch sessions as fast as possible. You’d have the money and the car. I think it was about 180k
Edit: The other “money glitch” was robbing a store, switching sessions, then robbing the same one. Over and over and over and over again

I did the car stealing and selling thing quite a bit, had a whole garage full of cars I'd stolen and took them to the shop to sell every twenty minutes. Also of course I'd rob stores with buddies. Eventually we learned about stealing lasers too, but never played much because of the load times.
Then I came back for the Heists DLC and had some fun with those, but just my one buddy played GTA with me so we got tired of having to play with randoms for the other two players so we eventually quit after failing endlessly on the prison heist.
Fast forward to COVID and I've grinded this game like crazy. I basically own everything on every platform thanks to passive income and grinding the Nightclub, Acid Lab and now the Salvage Yard tows/robberies. I did the Bunker for a while but got tired of glitched missions like the IPC one's helis or running around in the buggy for twenty minutes with low payout.
I still suck mostly at PVP because I have life obligations and other fun things to do outside the home, but it's fun to try to get griefers back with different approaches with all the weaponized options and Mk2 weapons.

It was a Chrome Adder/Entity XF with Pink/LimeGreen Dolla Rims.
Coveted was also good Grind Mission for players who couldn’t host RR because you needed to be a level 75 to host.
Rooftop Rumble paid about $18.5K, it was less after the LS Flight School Update.
The Entity XF was also the original bulletproof car from behind.
The Rhino wasn’t just scary because of lack of counters. It was scary because it took like 20 RPGs to take out. It had the armor of the current RC TANK. If it returned to its former glory, apart from the MK2, it would still be difficult to take out.
