More proof that Zardy and his fellow Scarycrows (thats what I am officially calling Zardy and his comrades as a species by the way) are very, very protective of their crops and do not want intruders messing them up. However, that brings up a very large question. Those strange, glowing, spiky weeds are most likely an invasive species of sorts, which is probably why the farmer wants them to get out of here, because he's worried about the weeds overthrowing the whole entire field. Including the corn. And if the Scarycrows are so protective of their corn, shouldn't they be helping the farmer take down the weeds so that they don't ruin the field? Of course, when I think of that question, I also see a reasonable answer. Perhaps the Scarycrows do want to take down the weeds, but they see the farmer as a greater threat to the field. How so, you may ask? Well, perhaps the farmer has some greater "ambitions" that could be fatal to the corn field. You see, the field hasn't become an actual barn/farm yet. However, the farmer is planning to make it into one. The barn, the animals, everything. And the Scarycrows see that as something they might perhaps consider deadly towards the crops, and for a couple reasons, or at least, 2 that I can currently think of. 1: Making a barn is going to take up a lot of space. And part of that space is most likely going to include some of the corn maze, if not, then all of it. And since the farmer has already turned what probably used to be a perfect, lush corn field into a maze (which means a lot of the field was chopped away and turned into a large path with tons of dead ends,) AND is selling some of the corn, the Scarycrows are just done and want the farmer out. And then 2: There's the animals. A lot of farm animals eat corn. Shouldn't need to explain any further. So the Scarycrows's plan is: They kill the farmer first, who is obviously a big threat to the corn, and then they take down the weeds. And that's pretty much at least a little more than half of the lore for Zardy's Maze solved. But hey, that's just a theory. A GAME THE- actually, yeah no. Edit: In case you wanted to know, these are the official names of all the Scarycrows (except for the anchor one, who's actual name wasn't revealed). The one with a scythe is Zahrada, or Zardy for short. The one that flies around and guards the weeds is the Brute. The one with a circle eye, a triangle eye, and metal claws for hands is Pumpkin Jack. And finally, the little one that grabs you with little vines that seem to be coming from the bottom which serve as appendages, slowing you down, is what I call the Tangler, since I currently am not sure of its real name. I know this video came out a year ago, and I'm sure there's been work on this game since, but I will say that the fog is a little too much. Fog can be used very well to add ambiance, but it's just a little... too busy here.
I'll be honest, I came from the fnf mod. I love this game though. It's a type of game that tests you with difficult enemies, a different maze every time, its dark, visually. And you never know what's coming. It's perfect.
I want to focus on the gameplay, but your voice is so funny, idk but the lamp kinda reminded me to the Tattletail's lantern, i like the characters design, this such a good game
