  • @adolfoalvarez5346
    @adolfoalvarez5346 4 года назад +1

    Dear professor I have a question. I´m a service engineer in a place where we have 3 betatrons for x-ray for industrial purposes. One of them doesn´t begin scanning when it has to (it takes about 2 seconds more). The 3 systems are programmed the exact same way but like I said, one of them is taking a little bit more to initiate the scanning process. In the X-Ray module I have the supply unit that energizes the betatron and the pulse converter, I have of course a pulse converter and I have the betatron. My theory is that it´s taking too long for the magnets inside the betatron to activate or to excite the particles within the radiation chamber in order to obtain the x rays. Could you verify this for me? is my theory correct?

    Thanks for a great lecture.
    Question: one thing that I don't understand is, as one switches magnetic flux from downwards to upwards that would change the direction in which electrons are rotating. So, if one had sinusoidal magnetic flux he would just get electron going clockwise and then counter-clockwise. So electron will never accelerate?
