Put some dowels down on the slabs to make them easier to slide in and out. Just a suggestion. Make sure to strap them then as they might slide out when driving after that lol.

Ah yes, the long awaited feature has finally arrived!
I was wondering how you were going to achieve each step along the way. Not many would have thought to go back to a simpler method. What you previously shared in your short clip was amazing, but the hidden beauty of the wood could truly be seen here. That just increases the anticipation of seeing your finished work when all is said and done. Plus it gives us more time to view your entertaining assistant as she continues growing before our eyes.
Two questions:
How many times did you wish you had some sort of winch in the bed of your truck?
Is the trailer repaired or is that still to be done and it's a future video yet to come?
Thanks! It was a lot more work than I let on moving that log into Into position.😂😂😂 The trailer still needs to be repaired. All I did so far was bend it back so it's usable again but I really need to attack it with a welder and maybe some reinforcements. If I do the reinforcements I'll do a video on it otherwise I'm just gonna be welding stuff back together.
It would be nice to have a winch attached to the truck too but what I really need to do is run a cable from my battery directly to the winch so I don't have to keep disconnecting it every time I want to move the truck. Truthfully the entire trailer needs to be replaced with something bigger and more substantial so I don't want to put too much money into this small one right now. So any repairs need to be small.

Watching you use that _massive_ machine, knowing that _you_ built it all alone, is just crazy! Watching it make such quick work of ALL that wood, like a hot knife through butter, _is_ just amazing to me. You're one really smart (& a lil crazy) man. I've been thinking about it more & more because of the shorts you post, & even _if_ I could build one myself, I don't think I would dare. My "clumsy factor" is basically _always_ at about an 11 outta 10. So, it's fantastic watching you do your thing.
Can't wait for you to build that dining table for you & your family. BUT you do _know_ that your wife is gonna claim it as hers, right?! Like there will be absolutely NO funny business going on on top of that table, ONLY EATING! 😂😂😂😂 No arts & crafts or piles of misplaced junk. there is something to be said about those store bought saw mills, but they just don't have the pride of one you made for your self, though it would be nice if you could motorize it for the cutting so you didn't have to push it. Either way, it still works well and that is all you need. Nice slabs.

How do you kill off the rest of the infestation in such large pieces?

Most people just turn up the heat in the kiln to 140F or so for a few days. I use a bugbomb first then the heat
@@WyldeWoodworks thanks for the reply! I got the impression you didn't have a way to heat something that size at first (I'm a new watcher).
I'm a super DIYer and only do a little word working once in a while, my wood it usually prepped in a construction bag on a hot sunny day 😆 so my size is pretty limited. I would love to work with something larger some day but have no idea how to treat larger pieces, that foam booth you have certainly gives me some ideas though.
