Hopefully 1 day we can see the Nawalny Korean War bow. He has a very unique interpretation of Korean bow with very interesting kassan that’s unlike any traditional Korean horse bow. Someday I will quit my jobs, sell my house and travel to Poland to apply as mr Nawalny assistant just so I could learn his crafts so 1 day I could make something nearly as beautiful and shoot like his bows.
Lukasz certainly is dedicated and is a master craftsman, with equal dedication I don't see why you shouldn't succeed and if you have a good attitude for very tedious work
Beautiful bow. I want one. Heavier bows are fun. I'll bet if you drew that bow 20-30 times a day, within a week or two the draw weight would be no problem for you.
Thank you for your nice comment, yes they are very fun ....sorry Armin but hey you shot it like a pro . I draw this thing way more than that I train 7 hours every single day without exception even when I'm in alot of pain, and thank you very much for your comments
You are ...somewhat correct, in that the return speed of the limbs is generally the same but you do get greater speed with a heavier bow ; what the higher poundage does is allows you to throw a much heavier arrow having much much more momentum and far far superior penetration. If you were to get hit by an arrow from that bow you would just feel a little thump not realizing that an arrow just passed right through you ....if the arrow hit heavy bone like the spine it would literally knock you down. I thank you for your interest in my pretty new bow
Yes sometimes it seems like you are straighten your bow armed a bit too much... I like a slight bend to my elbow But you r shooting a different style than me

I really would love to see the difference between this bow and a real hornbow when it comes to shooting experience. Is it true that real hornbows display their advantages especially at heavy poundage? Gokmen Altinkulp said it in an interview.
Yes sir they get more and more efficient with poundage, imagine being able to shoot a 166lb bow and draw it like it's nothin and doing the military technique like Mihai...wow that would be awesome
High efficiency to cast very heavy arrows very hard ,many bow hunters I know use arrows in the 3-400 grain weight and those arrows pass right through a 900lb elk ,heavier arrows have more momentum an object loses its energy nearly twice as fast in velocity as it does momentum, read Dr. Ed Ashby Natal fatality study and you'll get it
It certainly is a functional piece of art. With my limited traditional longbow and somewhat better target recurve bow experience, horse-bow archery is certainly a tempting - be it too early - next step. A bow such as this is likely the best bang for buck when compared to what my target bow cost but the learning curve would certainly be steep. I feel like I’d love to own one but wouldn’t be worthy of it yet. Great Review! Vielen Dank Armin!

string whipping is cheap, doesn't damage woods arrows like ray skin, and easy to replace if required. the down side is you add a small amount to you arrow pass width. i like a bigger handle so i take the leather handle off (if present) and whip the whole handle all the way to the top of the arrow pass. then cover the handle section in leather, leaving the arrow pass section with just whipping.

Just wow!
Seems like tatar bows are slower than Turkish and Korean style, what is the advantage to using them?
Manchu bows are even slower … heavier arrows mostly, with light weight arrows every bow is fast :)

Start with a cheap horsebow, thumb draw and arrow on the right side is very awkward and you will scratch your bow and arrows at first.
That's the perfect reason to start immediately don't worry we're all hear to help out

Amazing! Question: what one can do to protect the handle from getting scratched in specific cases where there is no shark skin type built in???
Khatra :D
Easier said than done lol!!! But this is why we practice, practice, practice and we get there
string whipping is cheap, doesn't damage woods arrows like ray skin, and easy to replace if required. the down side is you add a small amount to you arrow pass width.
i like a bigger handle so i take the leather handle off (if present) and whip the whole handle all the way to the top of the arrow pass. then cover the handle section in leather, leaving the arrow pass section with just whipping.
Sometimes I us kinetic tape only two layers and it only adds one millimeter and is easily replaced when it wears through
