Always looking for things to do during the day ? Watched a couple of vids yesterday . Maybe not your thing but there are huge flea markets and a Japanese second hand market for hi-fi , cameras etc . Cheap as chips (French fries).

I saw Chinese Chuck Taylors there - with Chinese writing on the side (high tops). Ima buy a pair, next time I'm in BKK. Also, across Sukhumvit from Siam Square (near the Hard Rock), is a great place to buy knock-off clothing - check it.

You keep seeing the same items in all the stores because they buy the stuff at the same wholesales market. I forgot what the market is called in Bangkok but they sell everything in bulk there. So shop owners go there and buy in bulk to sell it in their store.
