Thank you for showing these two side by side. I have the 53 and it is a very special bible, mine is crimson red, and I love everything about it. I have not seen a 52 before and I appreiciate having seeing it, now. It looks lovely.
I have 3 different versions on the longprimer and use a blue 52 Buttero calfskin most. The 52 brown meriva is nice and gets some use too and lastly my 53 Candy cane Longprimer I feel its beautiful but feel its to rare to use. Blue was my first and thats what I use most nowadays.

Yeh the 53 wins out again! Don’t forget the double gold on the 53…which sets it above the 52 as well!
