Renting a DVC studio room for $800/night is insanity. Even if it has a view of MK, it's a small room with basic amenities. I'd rather spend less and stay longer at Coronado Springs.
My parents like Bay Lake Tower and have stayed there a few times. They even upgraded us to the massive 2-story (at the top of the tower) 3 bedroom grand villa for free one time which was absolutely awesome!
$800 for that tiny and outdated room with a parking lot view (Magic Kingdom in the distance) is not worth it IMO. It looks like a dated Hyatt or Marriott property that would cost $200/night.
idk whos paying $800 a night. i paid for $600/2 nights in september by renting dvc. its only $800 if u book from disneys website bc they only sell a few rooms for cash and not dvc points
I worked on that building when I worked for a mechanical contractor at Disney. We did all the utility work and corrected the plumbing that another contractor was doing. Never got to see it complete like most of our projects at the time.
We are DVC, bought into BLT in September 2009. Just for comparison your $800 room would have cost us $197.34 for the night using only the current years’ member fees per point (assuming it cost 26 points). You should really look into renting points to stay DVC in the future, it could save a couple hundred per night. We don’t love the studios, too small for a week stay. I am really looking forward to what they do in the refurb.
Thoughts on having too many coffee mugs. We all do. But we display our favorites on a "mug tree" and my parents added hooks along the underside of the cabinets (forward of where your magnetic lights are, which would display them even nicer) and hung the mugs to display the best side. A splash of color and functionality are a good/ useful look in a kitchen. Brings comfort and relaxed vibes.
Hi Kyle, Hi Casey, let's go staycation!!my friend stayed in a 1 bedroom at Bay lake this past April but did not have that view. We were able to go to the top & watch fireworks - not in the lounge but a firework viewing area. I don't think the rooms are that bad but they do need a refresh.
Excited for ur staycation Sundays Kyle and Casey! We are having a staycation today/ tomorrow as well 😄😄😄- right across the street from Disneyland and DCA at the Grand Legacy with theme park view room (handicapped accessible suite for our little prince) … and rooftop bar and restaurant 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆. This evening we’re going to Downtown Disney and tomorrow we’ll go swimming before late check out ⏰. 🏊. Love u guys too!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰Let’s go 🎉
I love Bay Lake Towers! This is one of our home DVC resorts. Even though they are renovating these rooms, I still think they look great now! One of the reasons we love staying here is because it’s only a 5 minute walk to the park!
Loved this staycation!! I do love the hotel life 🤩🙌🏻. Thank you for showing the shopping of merchandise yesterday too. Ohhh I love and miss Disney parks shopping 🤩🤩
Thank you, I loved the Bay Tower room, not outdated at all!! 🤩 26 years ago I stayed 5 nights in that same location but in the old buildings and I had the same view as you. It was a training event for travel agents from Latin America and Disney invited me, I didn't pay anything!! That is one of the best moments of my life❣ Always following you! Greetings from Costa Rica 🙌🏼 🇨🇷
I hope you go to the pool. I wanted to see the waterslide and my favorite things about Disney hotels are the pools. Especially since it’s exclusive we couldn’t see it. Plus you mentioned it like 5x. So I hope you get to do what you want too. Hopefully day 2 I’m behind watching now.
How about filming a trip to the Disney outlet store? You could get your home goods and everything else for pennies on the dollar. Never pay full price if you don't have to👍
Yay!! Staycation Sunday!! Spectacular view of Magic Kingdom!! (We love Contemporary and the convenient location!!) Nice room! Great little kitchenette!! Great content! ❤😊
We stayed in a two-bedroom villa (theme park view) at Bay Lake Tower, and we loved it. I don't think it is out of date, and I agree with others who say the updated hotels are bland and boring. This Disney Adult doesn't like bland and boring. Subtle is nice.
We rented DVC points and stayed there in a 1 Bedroom (std view) in January. Obviously it was a lower priced season and not the same view but we paid about $740 per night. It’s the only hotel with 1 bd with 2 full bathrooms, so it worked well for us and our young adult kids. The sleep sofa and sleeper chair were the only “dated” things that we would have liked to see updated.
Why didn’t you use a DVC rental company like DVC rental store? I booked 3 nights at Bay Lake for Fall Break (3rd week of October) this year and it came out to $420/night. If I had gotten a theme park view, it would have been about $500/night. I just don’t understand why you would pay more money when I’m sure you all know those DVC rental companies exist and you could get it cheaper through them.
$800 for that??!!!! With a parking lot view?’!! Probably the Holiday Inn looks better than this! Kylle is trying to convince himself and his girlfriend. Is the greates thing! LOL!!! ABsurd!
We stayed here years ago with them park view( a one bedroom). It was amazing, except the parking lot. Just curious, can you even afford to stay in place like this.? What about a weeks worth of tickets for a family to Disney? I don’t think worth it anymore (Disney World), but I’m curious if you personally can actually afford this,or you just someone living in their parents home?.
I haven't stayed at Bay Lake Tower yet we visited 😊love the rug the rooms at are least neutral but yes the view is amazing ❤ I got my hubby a really nice Nike Golf shirt in the Gift Shop plus DVC gets a little discount 😊 I'm happy to see any Disney hotel I love them all 🥰 Naps are the best especially on rainy days !!! Enjoy the rest of the night ❤
We rented points for 3 nights in 2021 and I think we payed $1050. It was a one and done for us. I'm glad we did it, but BLT studio was really outdated and the pool area was tragic. Nice dining options on the Monorail loop and walking into MK are huge perks for this resort, but it would need major updates for us to ever choose Contemporary again.
Oh my, the one bedroom puts that room to shame. Next time rent through a DVC rental club and get it a lot cheaper. You really need to look at buying in to DVC and use the points for your staycations.
What happened to the video that was suppose to show the hotel room at the Universal Studios hotel you stayed at? I can't find it. Have you not posted it yet?
Why not give the hotel a chance to fix the wifi before speaking negatively about their service? I'm sure at $800/night they'll fix it or move you to another room.
I am a DVC member and don’t like BLT the rooms are small and outdated. We love staying at OKW rooms are big only problem there is the tv is flat new small but the size of the deluxe room is awesome. Our home resort is CC. Idk why you room was that much money for points.
thankfully, the resort has been greenlit for a complete overhaul starting in I wanna say it is starting in august or September of this year and will last a full year going floor by floor to try to keep it as less of a issue for guests staying there
I stayed in a theme park view studio at Bay Lake in 2017 for my birthday and it was wonderful. Last summer I stayed in a Lake View Studio and it was enjoyable. I do agree that it does need a little refurbishing. I love the location.
Been singing Goin’ Down The Bayou for days too! LOL I’ve only ridden once too. Haven’t been able to get VQ Friday or today either so “settling” for Tron. And that turkey sandwich looks fire! Fun video!
Bay Lake Tower is one of our 8 DVC home resorts all direct through Disney , and it is our favorite of the 8 and we own at Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Boardwalk, Beach Club, Riviera, Copper Creek, and Animal Kingdom. To say it’s out dated, or if it’s not your style wait a year really is insulting. Maybe before talking about DVC and experiencing DVC member events like Moonlight Magic which some direct members can’t even get into why don’t you become a DVC member .
Some folks would consider that a parking lot view. Nice if you spend time in the room. Many people knly sleep in their room. Room is nice, only a few outdated points.
Constantly saying it's not outdated and then titling the video "Most out of date" is wild Kyle! 🤣😂🤣

I wonder if he did purchase the rental often dvc members gift him the points
I hate to point this out, but it seems that most of the updated hotels tend to come out looking rather bland and badly themed.
But the Disney adults want bland and boring. Then bitch about “no magic”
Agreed. I miss the rooms that were over the top themed
Personally I LOVE every update they’ve made recently! The new Island Towers are breathtaking!
@@KingBobAIC I never wanted bland and boring. I've always enjoyed the theming at the hotels and inside the parks.
My parents like Bay Lake Tower and have stayed there a few times. They even upgraded us to the massive 2-story (at the top of the tower) 3 bedroom grand villa for free one time which was absolutely awesome!
What room type did your parents originally book when you got that upgrade?
$800 for that tiny and outdated room with a parking lot view (Magic Kingdom in the distance) is not worth it IMO. It looks like a dated Hyatt or Marriott property that would cost $200/night.
DVC points can be purchased online from DVC members and the price will be about half the amount
I meant to say half or less
