- As a boy, I don't like my body hair that much but my parents think I should never maintain them. They think maintaining it makes me look gay, which I am, but I haven't come out to them yet so what should I do y'all? Well, I am gonna watch some SNL.

Read your description bud! Don't let anyone ever rush you into coming out. Whatever people say these days it can still feel like a big deal. Sometimes it's nice just to let it sit with yourself while you get better acquainted and start to feel a bit more comfortable with your new self. As for the shaving, just do it and if they ask tell them lots of other guys are doing it and you want to be more aerodynamic 😁🤣 thinking of you x
As someone who has helped her best friend come out and has come out to my own parents, I’d say work up the courage to just do it. Both my parents and my BFF ‘s parents were dicks and still don’t fully accept it and if your parents do the same, try to not get beaten down by their initial reaction. You’ll still have your normal family life after the dust settles, but you won’t feel afraid of having to hide yourself after. Good luck friend I hope everything works out for you. You can probably do some maintenance without them knowing and you should only come out when you feel ready and if you know you'll be safe.

You would be amazed how much pressure comes off when you're able to come out. You don't know how much weight you're holding until you can finally release it. Having said that, my parents were supportive so my story might be different than yours. Good luck, man. It's not easy. I hope someday you'll feel the weight lift off your shoulders.

If you would like to come out to your parents, I recommend having someone else there who already knows. My sister was there when I came out and I honestly don't think I would've done it if she weren't. I was just so nervous and she really helped me feel better about doing it, along with a sense that since I had told her I would do it that night, I really had to.
