Does burdock always have a red/pink midrib on the mature leaves? I've never seen burdock and have been trying to identify it for a few years now. Looking at your plants, I think the plant I suspected was burdock actually isn't - because the midrib was green and the leaves look slightly furry even though they aren't furry

It can have a green stem too. The underside should be fuzzy.
