Another way to weaponize life gain is through symmetrical effects that attack life totals (more than just our commander who will inevitably have a target on their head) Ankh of mishra, Dingus Staff, Liability etc. Helps the prevent the life gain-durdle problem!
Worth mentioning, bolas citadel + necropotence + reservoir also works if you aren't super unlucky. Even just necropotence + bolas citadel normally gets me there in my Karlov deck. Also, I eventually ended up removing felidar sovereign in favor of test of endurance. Test of endurance comes out faster and is harder to remove. I cast felidar sovereign maybe 30 times when I played it in my karlov deck. It only went off twice, so for me at least it was super ineffective.
I have a Vona gain/drain style deck that has a lot of the same cards in it and I've considered swapping in Liesa as the commander so this was very insightful. I would suggest Tainted Remedy as a more budget option to Erebos. Sunscorch Regent and Vizkopa Guildmage are also very nice fits with this theme. A well timed Tainted Sigil can also be surprisingly powerful. Great tech. Concise and to the point.
Tainted Remedy is even more useful than Erebos in my opinion because it weaponises Congregate, Swords to Plowshares, Beacon of Immortality and Heliod's Intervention. Plus, pair up Tainted Remedy with Heliod and you have a pretty strong political tool - "Ok, you want to attack me? Here's lifelink on your strongest attacker and if you go through with your attack, you'll lose the amount of life equal to your creature's power."

Might I also recommend bloodchief ascension? With Liesa out you stack counters on it really quickly, often turning it on in a single turn cycle. You can even toss in mindcrank for another infinite.
I used to buy precons back in the day, and I had the BW Pestilence pre con from Urzas block. I upgraded it and was one of my fav childhood decks. So I made Liesa into a casual pestilence deck with loads of tutors and enchantment recursion, lifelink to keep me ahead in a pinch. It's pretty shit even though it's fully blinged out with cabal coffers and replenish and anything else I could think of - but at least my IQ

It s also nice to put some equipments on Liesa , Swift boot , swords... Erebos can be copied or picked up by ur opponents..be careful. Nice video Thanks !

I'd priorize draining opponents over gaining life. It's just as mana efficient in EDH, but more effective at actually win the game. Liesa usually pays for herself due to the lifelink. You'll never have to cast her more than 3 or 4 times, since she drains opponents so quickly. Meaning high cmc lifegain like Rhox Faithmender (2:13) and Sangromancer (1:57) would definitely get the axe in my list. 8:00 I'm not sure if I'd go for a Storm combo, since Liesa is anti-synergistic with it until you find the Reservoir. I'd rather go with one of the many tap-untap or sacrifice combos, like with Midnight Guard/Famished Paladin or Sun Titan/Karmic Guide, since they don't trigger Liesa.
I play a similar deck with Krav and Regna at the helm. I've been debating replacing them with her... if I do, I only need to swap out like 5 cards to truly make the deck shift.
Loved hearing some ideas for Liesa! She’s my newest deck and I do have to say 1v1 is hard when your deck is more or less built upon the idea of doing damage to everyone equally at a table. Any ideas on what could help a 1v1 situation? I was thinking something like peer into the abyss and wound reflection in place of exsanguinate and debt to the deathless.
I love Liesa because the only two things in life that are certain are death and taxes! Also, you guys just have a problem with black creatures with names starting with G. Or maybe it’s the color gray?
I didn't watch it all the way through and you mention that at the end. It looks good. I noticed lots of little things like the smoke background, highlighting text and the outline of what the video is about. I think it makes it a lot more digestible (and you know I know lot about digesting)

Really like this deck. Removing the infinite combos and felidar sovereign though as my group frowns upon that kind of stuff.

It was, but I can't even remember why now. There was some bug with TCGplayer that wasn't recognizing certain cards. Might have been MDFC's
