Fun facts: Rolling Stones (the band) have a song called Pay Your Dues I was listening to How Could You Leave Us when uploading this video and damn near broke down.
All those that had a bee in their bonnet when his album out sold chance the rappers...for many it was the first they'd heard of NF so 100% didn't bother to listen to any of his other music/understand his art
@@AltSpace the guy at rolling stone didn't like NF as an artist and also didn't like the fact that NF beat out chance the rapper on album sales when they dropped same day.
@@yassinbrown7543 I guess it could be seen as a 'dark theme' but that's just his life, his story, his experiences and if it's mostly been pretty shit things that have happened in his past that's how the music is going to be.. ..real
Just before the "I spit it with ease" line, when NF is looking in the mirror, we see a version of Nate wearing the white clothes he was given at the end of The Search (!), signifying a possible change in NF's inner mentality. Also, that version of Nate is the hand that reaches out of the toilet with the album in hand.
This song is amazing. But.. I dont think its "Nate" in this. Remember in intro 3, Anger still lives in the basement. Where most of this video takes place at first? Basement. Then it's a new room... like he is moving into the mansion? Also, you see NFs normal boots in the locker. I feel like its showing this is the anger...lashing out
This fits super well with the lyrics too cuz that long flow he anylized in this reaction is "basement nate" aka anger and the end line to that says "..could wreck OUR lifes" .so that even fits as if it was his anger speaking too

Most intellect reactor period. Pure joy to listen to and watch. It's nice how you can get a minds engine turning. Perfect person to break down such a complex mc.
Really liked the way you broke down the part where the different versions of Nate are popping out of the lockers. I never stopped it and looked at each version, but what you said about it made a lot of sense. That’s why I love watching reaction videos, because I often end up learning something or just thinking about something from a different perspective which makes me appreciate the artist and track that much more 🖤
Just a slight notice on that last section, he ends the song with "don't assume, don't assume I" then the video pans to him writing the word lost. I do think the song does possibly relate to the next album too, but I am pretty sure it has allusions to the fact he can write one word that both had more truth and is more impactful than anything the critics can write. Basically saying I can beat you at your own game, which seems to be the case with all the views/clicks he has gotten. Keep up the great reactions!
I usually listen to heavy metal, metalcore, etc etc, (not rap, hiphop) but when this song came up ,when it released in my youtube recommended, I fell in love with the song, learned every word of it so I can piss off my co workers, eventually dived into other tracks of NF, and he has completely changed my opinion on rap, what a legend.
You’re reactions are on another level above others. You provide so much insight into Nate’s music which is so refreshing instead of just head bobbing and hearing “fire” over and over. You truly get his music. P.S. Dax in videos is the cherry on top. ☺️
Woahhhh I never noticed that bit at the end from the critic’s perspective that was a really interesting point!! You had some amazing insight to this song, made me feel like it had just come out again lol
GREAT reactions brow! One of my favourite reactors out here on YT. BUT: I have to correct and make you aware of 2 things: A) The picture of the different NF's you showed, the right order is: NF in a Tie - When he began NF to the LEFT NF with the thimbs which he on IG posted and havent worn since - not publicly at least NF with the hat and hoodie NF with the balloons with nothing on his head: showing his "real" self with all his burdens, which is symbolic for him in album 4 showing and has shown us fans all his traumers and stories (so far) represented by the balloons. B) There are actually ALSO different NF's in the Couch Scene, where different NF's pop op i in the dark if you look closely. But yeah, GREAT reaction and analyzation. PS: Rolling Stone trashed NF because he surpassed Chance The Rapper in Sales with NO ONE saw coming. And in "Green Lights" we saw him pulling out a notepad saying "Perception" which his 3rd album is called, so "Lost" MIGHT be the 5th album, which makes sense in the sense that album 4 is called "The Search" and album 5, in the middle of his search, his is "Lost". But that's just speculations. :) Much love from Denmark
Interesting. In storytelling one of the most commercially successful executions/templates of the hero's journey is Dan Harmon's story circle. The story circle breaks down the journey into 8 segments or chapters. It goes: You, Need, Go, Search, Find, Take, Return, Changed. The 4th album labeled as The Search lines up quite neatly. And if the 5th album is Lost then that's obviously a direct subversion of the expected theme of the follow up chapter, "Find". If he really is following the hero's journey (or Nate's take on it), then it makes sense that in No Name he told fame to wait until after the 4th record - because that indicates the midpoint of the journey. This is the point where the hero acheives his first obvious goal, their "want" (which I think for Nate is acceptance and an established career in the rap game -- here marked by Paid My Dues). It also represents a false victory that will soon give way to the true goal, or his innermost "need", which will be revealed by the end of the fifth record. Because the fifth chapter (immediately after the midpoint) typically starts with a tyoe of minor celebration and respite/break, I'm going to go on a limb and predict then that his next album will start with a pure instrumental. Almost like an intermission.
@@jmgonzalez4 You might be very right there dear friend :) Im not sure though if Nate nessecary is following the "Heroes Journey" and you are overanalyzing the whole thing, or it is us other "NF-Fans" who are too ignorant to see the obvious "facts" that you are stating regarding nate following the heroes Journey. The only thing I as an NF fan can emperically and psysically analyze from, is the fact that in "Green light" he takes out the notepad, where it says "Perspection" which turned out to be his 3rd Album, in the song "When i grow up" there is the little hint in the burger place, where it says directly "Time" and also the date and time - which turned out to be a song and not an album, and in Paid my Dues, he leaves us with "Lost" which at this point either can be a SONG like "Time" or an coming "ALBUM" like with "Perception". Since the album 4 name is called "The Search" it just -> in MY opinion
Love how deep you dive into the lyrical content AND connect it to the trauma he's experienced and so cleverly woven into his artistry. When someone does what you're doing, you're not just honoring and respecting NF's trauma, you're honoring all who have gone or are going through their own. I know it's cliche, but it's true, that through suffering comes some of the most amazing art. Thanks for what you do :)

I reeeeally enjoy watching your videos reacting to NF since i didn't know anything about the meaning of his songs before. I only really listened to him because it sounds good. Keep up the good work man.
I think all the Nates coming from the lockers are his self leading up to now, I can’t remember which he says it in but Ik at some point he says “I used to walk up on stage with a suit and tie” or something along those lines, and the Nate on the far left is clearly Nate from The Search with the hat and baggy t shirt. Edit: I paused the video to comment this right before u said it 🤦🏼♂️ look at me thinkin I’m so smart lmaooo
One of my favorite little NF nuggets of creative genius is the line in this song where he goes "They don't listen do they, **background echoing what?** They don't listen to anything." Because it delivers his message with a little backhand sass saying that people weren't even listening to what he was saying right then until he went and called them out. Fricken ingenious!!!
Yo fam you been following u for a min. When I saw this video pop up I was like let's go. My wife saw it and was like go cook cause I've been watching your videos get dinner ready. Keep it going. 🔥
yo i actually react to nf songs too... but your the best at what you're doing the editing, setup, lighting, ect... keep doing you i hope one day i can at least get to your level or expertise. 💯
I always took the different NFs as an NF from each album: mansion, therapy session, perception, the search. And the “costumes” reflect himself/personality/and his literal clothing from each album.
"Lost" is possibly the name of his next album. Not sure if it's 100 percent legit but it does kind of makes sense considering after The Search (for hope or meaning) one can be Lost in the process therefore "Lost" album.
There's still a couple reactions i'm excited to see. Songs like: Nate, Only, Options(ESPECIALLY OPTIONS), Change. The album has so many bangers and I want you to check them out :)
Suggestion: do. Not. Miss. Interlude. It gives context to hate myself and there are points in hate myself that you will miss if you go past interlude. Watch it in the same video as hate myself.
This song is certainly less of a song about his mental journey, but listen to his flow from any song in Mansion vs his flow and cadence in this song. This song he just goes off and shows his talent.
I really hope you listen to more of the Search Album. You don't have to react to them if you don't want, but I think many are better than the ones he released as videos. Returns, Nate, Let Me Go, Change, Only, I Miss The Days, Hate Myself. Those are epic songs, epic bars. He's so relatable, so honest. Some of these black rappers now saying white people shouldn't be rapping, I say NF and Tom MacDonald are bringing different people to the hip hop world, and if you can't out work them or out do them, which I think is more the case. If these rappers want to claim hip hop and say white people can't do it, then white people should claim all they have invented and not allow another race to use it. I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'm tired of this racist card being pushed. Anybody can rap, anybody can do anything, stop making gender and race a problem in this world and all that shit will go away.
Hey man I just need to say this: I binge reaction videos, and I really don't know why because a lot of them just look like revenue magnets with clickbait thumbnails and overhyping the song and just judging the beat and the lyrics on a surface level. You're the first reaction channel I've seen that actually breaks down music on such a theoretical level. I just binged your NF reactions and I've been listening to NF for like 4ish years now, and you've brought up things that I haven't even noticed. Absolutely mind blowing the level of quality you put into your thoughts on each episode. You're the first reaction youtube channel Im actually subscribing to, keep up the work man. I saw you're big into Fifa, I don't play that but I do play Rocket League if you ever want to get some smoke lmao
What was so cool about this song was how soon it came out after the album was over. He did it with Why too. Nate doesn’t follow traditional release schedules
Great Reaction as always, the last scene i always think that means "Lost Smile" like he has enough of the same bs with the critics and now its time to atack different at the haters, is not necessary a track or a album name, keep going man, cheers
There are so many good songs: Destiny, Know off perception and Let Me Go, Like This off The Search are some of my favs- but you can't go wrong with any of them
In the search he talked about looking for the map to hope... so as he writes Lost, could that be saying he wasn’t able to get to hope. Especially with how he reacted to the critics, in this song. As artists we tend be our own worst critic, but coming from someone else, it eats at us. I was looking forward to you doing this song, as much as I was to Intro 3. Just showing his progression from Mansion to this song. Great reaction! Now we wait....
In the locker part I think I sorta understand the different types The first one with the Nate with only a hat, that is actually now Nate The one next to him with the hood and the smile is Fear The one singing is Anger, brought us to his basement to tell us what he wants us to hear. You see it being building because his basement is being renovated. to be bigger or smaller? no clue. Or he could be moving from the basement into the mansion. Since fear was locked outside, now Nate needs new fuel. I feel like the Nate wearing the white patient suit is the Nate that is helping original Nate heal. Cause he is kinda just floating around the mansion. He pops up when anger is talking in the mirror. Then he pops up again when he is fishing the album out the toilet in a way of "Don't throw this away" type of thing. Just how I dissected it but really could be super wrong. The Nate with the tie and vest I have no clue who they are yet, I originally thought that might be pride(looking more fancy but still has the smile) but again, I'm guessing so far
In the shot with the different versions of NF, you have to pay attention to the order in which the lockers open. The first locker that opened was the NF that had just started rapping The second locker was NF from Mansion The third locker was NF from Therapy session And the NF with the balloons is the NF we saw in Perception and The Search
Ive been thinking that lost is going to be his next album, ive heard lots of clips of songs that he's been working on, and this next one is gonna be top notch 👌
Pop up.."Nate" like I'm right behind you, is more clear when listened on a surround sound audio system because the "Nate"is pushed out of the speaker right behind you, like hes ...right behind you.....and on "when I grow up", he says if they ever push him, then he's gonna swing......and right off the bat, the first thing we see is him swinging upside down, then later, on a swing..... he was levitating over the couch.....which reminds me of a lyric, i cant recall from where....but he says he wrote the whole record while he was levitating.....now he raps it while levitating....
At the beginning he is swinging like a clock pendulum. The beat even sounds like it and then tick tick tick. Click click click sounds like a clock on a bomb.
when you do your research you should find the connection with the title of the song and the rolling stone (the ones who made the articel trashing him). I cant remember the exact correlation but i saw a really cool in depth explanation as to why the song is paid my dues and it throws shade at them
Look bro you getting into the details is one of the reasons we watch you. Thiese other guys don't go into the depth that you and relate to all the other songs that NF goes back references to. I know this is an old reaction but I never see anyone explain the reason why Nate is up on the light post. In the track WHY he said as a kid he was afraid of heights. I personally think this is him saying that he is getting over some if his fears thats why he's up so high and he's cool with it. Any thoughts??

I binge reaction videos, and I really don't know why because a lot of them just look like revenue magnets with clickbait thumbnails and overhyping the song and just judging the beat and the lyrics on a surface level.
I’ve been waiting for today’s drop! lol.
Yo, where’s the Instagram and/or Twitter? Lol
Dude, I've been so busy the last week had a big client project land but I will be setting them up soon 🙏
Loooooove your reactions, keep reacting to The Search album, it's his best
In the locker part I think I sorta understand the different types
The first one with the Nate with only a hat, that is actually now Nate
The one next to him with the hood and the smile is Fear
The one singing is Anger, brought us to his basement to tell us what he wants us to hear.
The first locker that opened was the NF that had just started rapping
The second locker was NF from Mansion
The third locker was NF from Therapy session
And the NF with the balloons is the NF we saw in Perception and The Search
Yup I covered that
Ive been thinking that lost is going to be his next album, ive heard lots of clips of songs that he's been working on, and this next one is gonna be top notch 👌
I think the levitating line is from outro
At the beginning he is swinging like a clock pendulum. The beat even sounds like it and then tick tick tick. Click click click sounds like a clock on a bomb.
when you do your research you should find the connection with the title of the song and the rolling stone (the ones who made the articel trashing him). I cant remember the exact correlation but i saw a really cool in depth explanation as to why the song is paid my dues and it throws shade at them
Love your reaction :)
Every time I hear this song it’s fire
About that NF with tie and vest, u can see him like that on his ooooold live "Invisible - NF (Nathan Feuerstein) - Live"
glad seeing you grow brother
Yo I’m here before the notif!
Dayumm this fast?! Lol, love your analysis as always.
Left a comment for the algorithm bs. Cheers 🥂
I appreciate you 🙏
The one dislike is the Rolling stone writer
there are sadly 5 now
That 1 second intro thing showing Alt looked really cool
Look bro you getting into the details is one of the reasons we watch you. Thiese other guys don't go into the depth that you and relate to all the other songs that NF goes back references to. So keep doing what you do brother. Just saying about damn time. But yes Nate is definitely the one you should listen to next.
YESSIR keep up da good work man you're goin places!
Thank you Nathan I appreciate the support, hopefully Altgang is 100k strong by the end of 2021
@@AltSpace Lets get you there. Ya definitely deserve it!
Change, Options and Only!!!.. Pretty Please react to these tracks! U jumped to the end and it freaked me out!!! "Change" and "Returns" r my fav songs off the Search!
This is your best video brother 💯 amazing reaction and breakdown of the details on a first listen through! Also I’d definitely be down to play PlayStation 😁 lol
Please react to Hopsin. His recent and current journey is powerful and I’d love to hear your perspective.
I been waiting for this one.
I know this is an old reaction but I never see anyone explain the reason why Nate is up on the light post. In the track WHY he said as a kid he was afraid of heights. I personally think this is him saying that he is getting over some if his fears thats why he's up so high and he's cool with it. Any thoughts??
This song is my favorite
hello from belgium and this song is 🔥🔥
Fun fact- PAID MY DUES is not part of the search
