- Superb Game Hunt in Chatham looking for the classic Retro titles !
I visit Chatham in Kent looking for video games to add to my growing collection... Chatham has always proved a good hunting ground in the past so I am hoping to discover some great video games to add to the collection.
Retro Game hunting in Chatham is always good with one of my favourite CEX stores a Cash Convertors a GAME and of course the charity shops too.
In the past this has always provided some great games for the OGDuffy retro game collection and this game hunt did not fail...
So join me OGDuffy as we look around CEX, GAME and Cash Convertors in Chatham Kent for the hunt for classic retro video games...

OG steam deck 100% worth looking into. I've filled mine with a catalog of retro games (mainly n64, SNES, Gamecube) and its nice to have all these games playable and on the go! Really is a wicked bit of kit for modern and retro gaming!

Just discovered your channel, really great! Retro game enthusiast myself and also Kent based. Work in Sittingbourne a couple of days a week and always do a sweep of these very charity shops!
Awesome and welcome to the channel matey... We have a great community here and I drop vids every Friday and Tuesday at 6pm and sometimes a bonus vid on a Sunday. Had any decent finds in the Sittingbourne charity shops matey?
Love it when you mention the ZX..... being 44, nearly 45, for me the ZX was the gateway too gaming.
I know it was pretty crap, the games were short and pretty pap.
But at the same time, they were incredible.
I had my favourites in Jet Set Willy, Death Chase, Pssst, Spy Vs Spy, Ant Attack, Lotus Esprit.... But i had forgotten all about the Great Escape!
I would give anything too find a working ZX Spectrum and also 2 other consoles that just elude me, that is the Jaguar and Mega CD 1, i had the Jag and it died, now people want more for a used Jaguar than they ask for a brand new PS5 or Series X, and the Mega CD 1 used, are near on £300 in good condition.
This hobby we love is bloody mental haha,

At CEX you passed "Futurama" on ps2. Its based on the adult animated tv show. Its going up in price. A collectors gem. Im based in south africa and we get european games from england so we also collect PAL games for ps1 and ps2. Please pick up that game.
I realised whilst editing the video…. Know there are colour differences between some of the covers too which effect the price 😉
Awesome pick ups OG. Godfather 2 didn't get the best reviews, but I really enjoyed it. It's pretty unique as it's a GTA style game but with some RTS elements. It's pretty cool that it has 3 locations to visit which you travel to through the airport.
Looking forward to playing it like the idea of multiple locations 😎
Mercs brings back memories, I remember me and my friend Curtis still playing that and Gunstar Heroes all the time when I was in secondary school, and this was at the point the PS2 was about to come out in the early 2000's lol still playing them both to this day as well, you can't go wrong with the classics.
The classics are just that matey 😉 Was pleased with the Mercs pickup Gunstar Herows a very collectible title now matey 😉
Mercs, class game. Really addictive and one of my favs in the collection i own. Tenchu is definitely on my target list. Fantastic pick ups

We had the island version of Spy vs Spy. Can’t remember which computer it was on but it was well over 30 years ago now. Me and my brother used to play it split screen. Good times 🙂

Duffy I’m loving my Wii at the moment again really enjoying it as a guilty pleasure going to be playing lots on the Wii and getting some more fun games to try out always nice and cheap and I enjoy the way the console plays
The controller makes it a truly unique system that is still very playable matey
Mercs is a great game, one of my favourites on the mega drive. At the 5 minute mark I spotted evil within. Good game if you like silent hill and resident evil.

Operation Winback on the ps2 for a quid! Absolute bargain, imagine time crisis in 3rd person, and you control the character. Also, the ps2 version has an awesome split screen death match.

To be honest, I really enjoyed the PlayStation Move. It has some solid games like Sorcery, Sports Champions, Time Crisis, and even Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which acts as a light gun-like game.
Time Crisis would sell it to me… really need to get my move controllers setup again 😉
Can’t say I’ve ever seen a Tarantino film. Guess I’m missing out. I know my brother was a fan of kill bill and my stepdad is a fan of pulp fiction but I’ve never seen one.
Matey you’re missing out!!!! /some of them are really dialogue heavy like Hollywood and hateful eight etc but I love them all !!!!!
I love all his films but Death proof is a great film and my favorite Tarantino film is true romance its a cracking film full of big named actors give it a watch Rob you will love it.

I’m a complete novice but I’ve managed to get my steam deck loaded with everything I could possibly want, can hook it up to my tv and use my xbox controller easily too - no mapping needed with emudeck/emulation station etc.

Steam Deck is great, both for a lot of current games and emulation. Got bored of waiting for Nintendo to port Wind Waker to Switch and it’s been a joy to play on The SD. Also managed to load Windows on it so have access to Gamepass as well, played a perfect for a handheld version of Starfield.
They seem popular with lots of positive comments here about them matey 😉
Punch out what a game my favourite NES game mate I have the Tyson boxed version too, cost me like £50 on eBay a few years ago but in hindsight that’s actually a really goood deal

Steam deck is incredible, play everything up to PS2, Wii and GameCube as well as my steam library.
Regarding Game they should have jumped on the retro gaming market years ago! It’s far too late now though as it’s heading towards the decline and when the next gen consoles come out as digital only I also expect CEX to start taking a big hit.

Good vid OG as usual, I actually needed that Fifa 10 & 11 on the Wii and there was 2 of each on that shelf haha, it's one of them though m8 I go in CEX and I can never remember which Fifas I need haha so I don't buy tgem and then when I get home I realise I needed the ones that were there, but at least I need something thats cheap and readily available, unlike the wife haha 😊

Wish my CEX was like that... counted so many PS3 titles I've been unable to find in the 5 local CEX stores I have 😂 had a few instances of not being able to find discs, usually I'll just ask if I can have the case since I always need spares. They're never happy about it for some reason even though they're just gonna throw it away
Never thought to ask can O have the case!?! Makes sense though 😉
@@OGDuffyYea I always do just because you never know when you need a spare. Had a few rarer games I've bought from them that have been in bad shape case wise so I just swap em out 😅

Anything Final Fantasy seems to be worth it. I've gotten into Final Fantasy from playing Kingdom Hearts III on the PS4

For the size of the place Chatham is a let-down I find. Oddly, very few charity shops and the ones that are there aren't good. The turnover of gaming bits in their CEX is very slow, usually the same old stock when I visit. Cash Converters is quite small too. Pubs are pretty ropey, and even the fast food places are grim.
The pubs are entertaining for sure. I enjoy game hunting there as only go a few times a year so CEX gets replenished between visits. My local is the same though matey seems a slow stock rotation 😉

I'm collecting ps3 games too whilst there cheap because soon Sony turns them servers off like most of the games are starting too there shoot up in price and I will have a very expensive collection like NBA jam I own £18 on PS3 I bought it for £2 few years back
