Is anyone hearing little pops and cracks in this or are my headphones dying?
It could be playing too loud for your headphones. That kind of distortion happens when you play loud music on small speakers.
You need to get a bigger headphones
This song has an incredible instrumentation some of nightwish's best but Annette's vocals drag it down so hard for me which is unfourtunate
Personally, I really like Annette's voice for this album. She has the lightest voice of all gals who have sung in Nightwish, and though I really love how Floor sings the same songs, there is a texture Annette bring that I really like for when songs and albums have this kind of theme: dreams and nightmares.
