    You're devotion to your craft and passion to always make your work better and better is always a joy to watch. An inspiration to us all who manage to sit at a workbench and put in the effort to build something to the quality and way we envision it and the way YOU want it...hopefully! BTW..I love blue 😉

    I think the lipstick you applied to this pig turned out super-glossy...
    A splendid job, especially adding the bits and pieces into the leading edge of the wings, really added depth.

    Hi Phil, model looks fab. You’re just right: always do your model the way it makes you happy. Life is too short for rivet counting.

    Great work, and I love the "coming in for a landing" display. Whenever I get around to building one of these I'll probably do the same.

    I am late to the party on this one, but better late than never. In the end, it looks fantastic. Nice work, Sir. I have this kit in my stash. It is over 30 years old now. Maybe when I retire.

    Hi Phil...I really like the way the Shuttle turned out...I actually think the blue helps make it stand out, and like you said, it's not Canan, and it's your model. Considering the age of the model, and the engineering back then...I think it turned out quite well. Answering your question on lipstick on a pig...you get a politician 😁. Anyway love the build. Keep us updated on the next build. Until then, Be safe, Be Well, now Build Something.

    Totally agree with building it for you. Afterall, you're the one that's going to be looking at it every day. Honestly hope the "rivot counters" enjoy their builds as much. The pliers are fun, but couldn't you just use the miter box you already had?

    Great build and video, love your enthusiasm!!! I built this kit back when it was released in the 80's when I was teenager and that joint trapping the wing hinges was a nightmare especially with limited tools and experience. Needless to say it was a mess in the end but I still loved the kit and after seeing this I would be tempted to get another. I did look at the new Revell tooling but It just looks too toy like to me and nowhere as nice as say their Razorcrest. Love what you've done with this and fantastic work on that seam. Thanks for sharing.

    The whole reason to modeling is to have fun, do what you want to do with your model. The Imperial Shuttle came out great, it really is a beast when you put it together!

    Hi Phil, thanks to part 1, I decided to find one for myself. You were absolutely correct, they are now becoming more available than In the past. I love the work you put into yours and I appreciate you telling everyone to make the kit that you want. Unless it's for a museum, the "Rule of Cool" always comes first.
    Keep up the great work,
    -John

    Heya Phil, nice build as always! Your engines are right, from a certain point of view. They are actually blue, but with a white core that fades to blue on the outer edge. The only thing I would change is rotating the wing guns up since it is so close to being in the landed position. It would be cool if a new styrene kit would come along that is larger and accurate. Re-popping this one has hopefully come to an end!

    OMG - love your attitude is great - I wish more modelers on RUclips had your perspective. There are far too many anal modelers who go to extremes. Unfortuantly historical accuracy has trumped simply having fun which is not good for the hobby.

  • @SkyrayModels
    @SkyrayModels 7 месяцев назад +1

    Is it just me or do you find that as you get older the more fun you crave and the less fussy you are about overall accuracy, I have the Airfix boxing of this kit, it has a warped dorsal fin/ main wing ? Whatever, anyway I can't see me building it into the original kit, but it might get used to kit bash it into another imaginary Star Wars style ship just for my own pleasure.
    Looking forward to your next project Phil, may the building Force be with you.👍

    It's Shuttle Tydirium because that is the name of the specific shuttle that they used in the attack on endor. It's a Lambda-Class shuttle. One could say, it's the Lambda-Class shuttle Tydirium. That's the reasoning behind the naming 😉

    It's lovely to have a tolerant and indulgent wife-- but I still think this model is too large. No smaller scales/ Hmm. And those wing-hinge seams-- yeeowch! What's a kid supposed to do? You needed all the technical miracles of several countries to get that hinge to look good. A kid here in America would need a hand axe and a come-along to do the same thing.
    Ah well, the minimal lighting almost doesn't need to be there-- but I am not violating the My Model or the Highway Policy here at Sprueverse-- not at all. Just a thought. I think there were a couple of very bright down lights on the underside that you have foresworn.
    And so be it. A very nice build up.

    I enjoy your content, but may I please offer some constructive criticism? A lot of people (including myself) just don’t have the time or attention span to watch 1+ hour RUclips videos. If you were to release 15-20 minute edited videos you would get way more subs and views on your content. Not saying you drop the long videos as some enjoy those. But may be offer up a condensed version of each build for the regular working person/ parent.

    • @sprueVerse
      @sprueVerse  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks and I do appreciate the note - I’m always trying to condense my videos to be more palatable and I will make a conscious effort to make them shorter. Cheers!
