Saw them at the same place sometime in the late 90s with my mate Sneaky Pete. Was already swaying before they came on and the bloke next to me said something like 'I saw them last night - have you heard the foghorn sound?' Didn't know what he meant but when they came on it was to the loudest (foghorn) sound I have ever heard, along with a stunning flashing blue light that filled the room. One of THE best nights. After a couple of hours we were lurking at the back and I urged Pete down the front to get a closer look. There was some guy on stage doing the weirdest dance. Then Pete said to me, 'They finished a while ago, that bloke dancing is one of the roadies winding up a cable around his elbow.' Happy days.
We were there, as always Leftfield let the music take control. Thanks for the video now I can actually remember the gig, it was a blur of euphoria and substance!
I went to the Saturday gig, but this video still brings it all back. I just wish they had a proper film crew set up to film the whole gig because that was definitely a set worth owning on DVD for life. Well done Leftfield and I can't wait for your next gigs.
Seen them at homelands ireland with cheshire cat back in 2000 , christ it was the most intense surreal gig in my life . Obvs the spark plugs accentuated it but it was incredible that night .
I was at this same gig last fri night wicked performance really great !!! shame it wasn't a differnt track than listening to this rambling olde fool RAPPING IN A PRETEND LANGUAGE!!
the atmosphere of an audience of millions, as opposed to how I saw the performance on RUclips in Moscow.. What would you want from the Russians, they probably didn't have access to vodka. England are enjoying them.
ulryrke yes it is the original Neil Cole Djum Djum he never does it the same every time and there's no real lyrics as it's something he created himself !
When this was released they convinced everyone it was a lost African language but the lyrics were complete bollocks made up by Djum Djum (hence why they're never the same). Absolute legends!!

The use of the Theramin is brilliant. Seen them now 6 times and it's a delight to see so many people re-living their youth. Classic.
Even he doesn't know the text or interpretation
