- Check out Ray Newton @newton.54 whipping the crf100 in the last row of the 3pm race at the 2020 Denver NCHSA 11-8-2020
A bad start made for some interesting passes
His competitors were Brandon Wiant( Broke his bike - DNF) and Ron Awad (1st/ 36th oa)
Awad took the win on a ttr125 who made the cutoff to do another lap over Ray (2nd place)
Bet the guys on the big bikes were like good LORD please don’t tell me that was a 100😂
This is pure gold lmao, absolutely ripping on the trusty xr
Damn that was fun to watch! I was cheering for the little 100 the whole time! Great riding dude!!
This video deserves more likes. Great job with the camera work, you really were kicking but and taking names with a pitbike. Hopefully it was a fun to race as it looked!
It didn't want to start, but it didn't miss a lick after that lol
Good stuff! And great line selection!
You definately were outriding those other guys. You were killin it!!
Holy shit. Im very possibly getting one this weekend and watching this has me super excited. I have an extremely modified pw80 on a 125 pitbike suspension that im trading for a 2006 100. Didnt know they were gonna move like this 🤣
That was great, man! And this goes to show that a skilled rider and a small bike is a great combination for woods racing. Have you ever ridden a DRZ-125L? I used to have an '06 CRF-100 and raced it in the woods for a few years, then bought a new '20 DRZ125L and started racing it. Much better bike, more speed in the woods, better suspension, more torque for getting out of the corners, and easily leaves the big bikes behind in the tight stuff! Every now and then I come across a young guy on a big bike who is really good and I can't hang with him, but that's not common, and some of the guys ride small bikes like mine and they are tough to deal with. All great fun though!
Thanks! I’ve never ridden a 125 big wheel but I would love to have one sometime
As an owner of a ktm and this same bike...those big bike boys are real butt hurt I bet when you pass them
Dude on the KXF did NOT like the 100 in front of him xD
Bent bars in the same place is mine😂😅🏁
@@dmcdevitt8 haha
what a coincidence, I was just trying to find a video of him racing after rays min. long video of him ripping this bike.
Man, that looked like fun! Great ride!
Mine is a 2004. Old as fuck. And first starting up it takes forever. But once it gets opened up it will start first kick and run till it can’t. Until I crash and flood it. Then it won’t start
Awesome video brother! Wish i would have been there to see it in person.
always next time
epic start. I just picked one up and same thing. Good Race. Had one years ago, those thing are fast in woods. Like riding a mountain bike. We currently run 110 pitbikes with aftermarket stuff. I will be curious to see what is actually faster for me.
“Yo yo yo yo yo” ... 😂😂😂
Funhundred is what I call them... can't believe it did not start 1st kick ...picking some nice Funhundred lines toooo no one lets ya by easy lol they don't want to be passed by a Funhundred
That was great 👍
Your brother is crazy good ride
Not as fast as me but yeah :)

Wow, total war zone out there!
Beans💪
Nice lines
Shuck n and jivin...😂
Damn good riding... Just goes to show you how all that power of the larger MX bikes are unnecessary in tight trails like that.
Oh yeah it's totally unnecessary. I learned that years ago when I was racing an XR250R in the woods and got passed by a young guy on a CRF100. I sold the 250 and got a CRF100 and raced that for several years and did well. Now I have a DRZ125L for woods racing and it's even better. If you have decent skills it's not hard to leave the big bikes behind in tight woods.
Haha thanks!
👍
Which bit was the hilarious bit?

This bike sounds bigger than a 100
stock 100
youre hearing the bikes in front of him. the crf100 is really quiet. when you can hear it, it sounds exactly like mine
@@ErikSeastead It sounded like he was a gear too high a lot of the time, but maybe it was just quiet.
Hilarious? Am I missing something here looks like a normal race
its him on a tiny bike blowing past guys on bigger faster bikes. thats why its funny
hate those trees
