      BeatsbyVanityTV it would be cool if you did a video solely on getting that drum swing people like knxwledge j dilla and flying lotus have i know there all very different but there drums all kindve have the same groove (which dilla solidified first)

    • @parkerbranstetter5403
      @parkerbranstetter5403 7 лет назад +1

      BVNDIT Knxledge and FlyLo have a particular style. It's not groove as much as it is just fucked up and off beat. They get that sound by kinda spazzing and just being super impulsive when they're laying down the drum pattern. A key thing is to use 2 snares, and drag one out too early or late

    Does it sounds like Knxledge? Maybe not. But that's beside the point fam. What is cool, is that BeatsbyVanity actually shares ideas and techniques inspired by Knxledge's work. Why so much hate? This is very well done. The goal is not to imitate other people's sound but to improve your own shit by comparing it to the greatest beatmakers.

    • @BeatsbyVanity
      @BeatsbyVanity  7 лет назад +5

      Of course, it's super simple. The basis of it is dragging a Sampler Instrument onto each drum cell. Once you've done that expose to the zone screen (button along the top of the device), drop all your samples in that window. Then click on the 'Slec', with all your samples selected (they will be as default after they're dropped in) right click on that little orange bar and select distribute all range equally. Then you're all done!

Second, YOUR NOT KNXWELDGE and on that note I love that you show what he does but also the philosophy behind it so others can take that knxweledge (see what I did there?) to their own style. • @BeatsbyVanity
      @BeatsbyVanity  7 лет назад +1

      Vision Hope that continues! Yes I would, the Push defiantly helps you navigate your way around Ableton quicker as well as making the creation process a lot more fun and interactive.

    • @vision2552
      @vision2552 7 лет назад +1

      Okay thanks man your interaction with your viewer is also pretty nice :D does it make a huge difference if i purchase a push 1 instead of a push 2 ? because push 2 is way more expensive and push 1 costs about the half of the push 2 ^^ is push 2 easier for beginners or is a push 1 okay ? :)

    • @BeatsbyVanity
      @BeatsbyVanity  7 лет назад +1

      I think I've responded to every comment, not many channels can say that. You guys are what make a channel, so replying goes without saying for me :) Well, I didn't like the Push 1, ended up selling it and getting a Maschine Studio, then I sold that and bought a Push 2 which I'm really happy with. If it's a little out of your price range, either get a second hand one, or buy one on finance. That would be my recommendation, hope it helps :)

    Can you show how you drag these in and chop and work flow more of how u actually created it

      I chopped it on a keyboard, but any MIDI controller would work fine. These earlier tutorials do leave out a lot, I apologise for that.

    Will the knxwledge sample pack work on logic?

    • @BeatsbyVanity
      @BeatsbyVanity  7 лет назад

      The Ableton drum rack would not, but the audio samples obviously would. The drum rack device that I made comes free with the pack, because I know many of my watchers do not use Ableton.

      If you study someone hard enough and are good enough at your DAW, you can pretty much replicate anyone

      You're welcome! A couple of things I use for finding samples are Shazam (can be a little hit or miss) and Who Sampled.
