Thank you... Don't have a spare mattress in the house and I just got covid isolating myself so I needed to use my air matress. Was sleeping on the floor and my back was killing me. This worked beautifully.
I have an air mattress much like the one in the video, the queen size Intex brand. The one I have came with a "hand pump"......with unfortunately no directions. I tried inserting a nozzle here, the other nozzle there, attach this part to that, so on and so forth. After roughly 30-40 min.I decided I was finally fed up fiddling with this thing. Naturally, to avoid anymore frustration and embarrasement ( my 11 year old had a sleep over with 2 of his friends, all 3 boys seemed to be entertained witnessing my constant fails) I turned to RUclips. Luckily I found this video and thought, "Genius" this could absolutely do the trick!! I get the blow dryer put it up close to the opening(where I'm sure a nozzle or attacment is supposed to go) I turned on hair dryer and watched in amazement as mattress began to slowly inflate....until dryer abruptly shut off. I then realize the thin plastic connecting the attachments to the mattress cap (for convenience) had melt. I must add, due to my frugality, my hair dryer sucks!! I let it cool ( It has has a cool setting , where it blows cool air) tried again, it was flawless. So although I bumped my head a few times trying to inflate this mattress, this video absolutely provided me with the answers and the tools to get the job done. The boys and myself are extremely grateful. Thank you.
I've done the same except I've melted the part you put the cap on, so it doesn't fit anymore, fuck this.... Otherwise if you don't have cold air in the hair dryer you can put the hair dryer inside a toilet roll and should mean it isn't touching the mattress, unfortunately I found this out too late ^^

well pfft, that was easy.... and here I was all upset that I didn't have a pump. Just a tip though, for those who don't have a cool setting on their hair dryer, just put it on low and it shouldn't melt anything. At least it didn't for me. Thanks dude
I wonder if I can use these air mattresses in the home instead of foam or spring mattresses. I can't put a foam mattress in the washing machine but I can surely wash an air mattress in my 10 kilo wash machine. And spring mattresses, oh they're so heavy.
