I really enjoy your content (and I learned how to make thumbnails thanks to you). Well, I am a Jo Malone addict myself... Yuja is my personal favourite from the new blossoms range. It’s so zesty and fresh!

I love fragrances that develop and change. The perfumer that did Myrrh & Tonka also made the Yuja perfume. It's interesting that you would put them together. Really wish I could have tested these. Thanks for your thoughts!

      That’s so interesting!
I think this one is nice but I think I would like it better blended with something, maybe to take down the sweetness a little?

I just purchased the Yuja yesterday from the Edinburgh Boutique and I have to say - I’m pretty blown away by it!! For me I get the Yuja immediately - this sharp, citrusy twang and on the dry down get this gorgeous aromatic pine fir scent. Similar to the greenish notes from their Pine & Eucalyptus Christmas room spray but much drier and herbaceous 🌿 So far I’ve only paired it with Nettle & Wild Achillea from the Wild Flowers & Weeds collection; very green, heady florals with a juicy Yuja twist and deeper undertones. Loved your pairing suggestions. Tempted to try it with Myrrh & Tonka 😮🤤 x

Hi! Ohhh that’s so interesting, on my skin it went a little too sweet but maybe on a mans skin it doesn’t do that.
The stunning green notes lifted too fast for me and I loved them so much! It reminded me a little of pine and eucalyptus too, until the dry down and then it was a lot of orange Yuja tones and I wanted more green! Amazing how it’s so different on other people isn’t it? Xxxx

Labels For Lunch, it most certainly is interesting how it reacts on different skin, but then again, our noses are also that different from one another - it’s all unique to how we perceive it. However I absolutely understand where you’re coming from. The Yuja carries with me for about 30 minutes, then softens and becomes that sweet, orange honeyed nectar, with underlying grassy notes, and then again dries down to an aromatic herbaceous tone still sweetened by the citrus before it. Perhaps a combination with Basil & Neroli could bring out a more green suggestion, the earthiness from the Basil paired with the Sage and Fir Balsam? Then the Neroli would play around with the effervescence of the Yuja, though it might amplify the floral over the fresh 🤷🏻‍♂️ There are endless possibilities - and that’s where the fun lies! Thought I’d say I’m a new subscriber, and I adore Jo Malone London - so it’s also really lovely to see someone as enthralled in the scents as much as I. Your words are captured in eloquence, it’s wonderful to listen to your personal experiences with each scent and how they differ for you ☺️😘 xx

Ah thank you! That’s so incredibly kind of you! I love the way you can play with jo Malone fragrances, I often like to have two florals together or two citruses together like red roses and wild bluebells or LBM with grapefruit, but Jo Malone often advise contrasting fragrances together, there truly is endless fun to be had!!!

Labels For Lunch, it is absolutely up to your personal preferences how you wear your Jo Malone, but it can be really interesting to see how two completely contrasting fragrances pair so well with one another ☺️
Side note: just paired Yuja with Myrrh & Tonka for before bed and OML - it’s delicious! It’s based in the Tonka bean, but there’s a soft powdery lavender top note that swoons in the citrus of the Yuja, with more gentler grassy undertones and whispers of green nuttiness 😍😍
Could most definitely be my evening Autumnal pairing. Thank you so much - I would have never put those two together 🙏🏻😘 xx

I am trying Water Lilly today. I think I love it. It smells very close to Philosophy Pure Grace Summer Surf from a few years ago. The Jo Molone has a bit more floral and interest.

Ordered them both back in April. Returned the Waterlily. Couldn’t figure out what it reminded me of so I asked my son to smell my wrist and he said it smelled like sun cream. That’s it! Basically, white flowers and coconut. Loved the Yuja though and have used loads of it! It doesn’t really change smell on me. I guess it’s my body chemistry. All day long, I sniff my wrists and it’s still the beautiful fizzy candied Yuja smell with green freshness. I actually do not like Orange Blossom or Nectarine Blossom & Honey, at all. Wild Fig & Cassis is my #1 fragrance of all time.

That’s so interesting! I preferred water lily and I loveeeee the fig and Cassis! I loved the green notes in Yuja but it just didn’t last long enough for me xxxx

I want to purchase this one or the Yuja one! Im male so I wonder if the Waterlily leans more masculine? Or does the Yuja? Thanks?

I have a deluxe sample of the Osmanthus and it’s nice but not unique. It smells like other perfumes I’ve smelled before. A little too strong for me.
