I like it very much on my 116333. The D2 was a watch which didn't match the expactation what the most people had. It was never meant to be a "bigger 116233 or now 126233". It was a completly new watch and the 116333 with this dial the only version which really looked harmonised. Anway the 116333 Wimbledon will be one day the one and only original one. :)
I have just that one. The grey starburst dial is stunning, the green roman numerals are the perfect compliment. I dont normally like roman numerals, but they work very well here. The oyster bracelet makes it more sporty and also more sturdy. Also the dial with the fluting is so extravagant, the oyster bracelet is a nicer offset. The sum of the parts works so well. This is unusual, iconic and devastatingly gorgeous. The hands are lumed, which is unusual for a dress watch. The one pip gives it a reference for night and a balance to the date. perfect.
I absolutely love my Wimbledon in this combo! There’s just something about the slate dial, black and green numerals and yellow gold that blends so well. 👌🏼
The two tone version is significantly heavier on wrist. But just remember that glinting gold is going to attract attention like no other which makes it fly way above the radar and this could be either good or bad in these times depending whether you know karate.
I finally received my Rolex Datejust 41 Wimbledon in yellow gold / oyster steel and I love love it. Your video helped me decide it was the right watch and Rolex helped me source it and I can’t love it enough. Awesome review guys! Cheers!
@@TOCANTES I checked both out, yes. Plus I wear a yellow gold wedding band and signet ring, so it suited me better I think. I do think it looks very cool in rose gold though.
I love this watch!! I just sold my DJ2 in blue with Roman numerals for more than I paid for it 4 years ago now I think I'm getting the Wimbledon 2 tone jubilee. Thanks guys!
Just waiting for mine to be delivered next week, a present from my amazing wife. She also got me a white gold bezel datejust and a black two tone sub in 2021. In return I bought her an new steam iron.
I just seen this in the rose gold at the AD. I recently acquired the 41MM Sub Date. Very Happy right now. But that watch is gorgeous. My first Rolex is a 116200 super jubilee 👍🏽
For an everyday wear (jeans and t-shirt to a black tie event), which one would you choose as your first Rolex: the two-tone Wimbledon with the fluted bezel and oyster bracelet or the 41mm Sub no date?
It is my 1st time to leave my comment ever on youtube. Firstly really thanks for great review. Today I saw exact same model in AD. Then I saw this video just now and push me to take it! But still hesitate between oyster and Jubilee. Should I take it? Or let it go. And do you prefer steel or combi for wimbledon dial? Your any advice will be highly appreciated!
Thank you for Your kind words! We prefer the jubilee for both the steel and twotone versions, at least if you go with the fluted bezel 👍🏼 but in the end its up to your personal taste and preference but both are great options. However, for us the jubilee is the go to bracelet for a Datejust
@@IFLWatches Here is the sequel. Thanks for advice. I adopted your recommendation and made some calls AD. There are about 10 ADs in this area but None of shop has DJ41 steel fluted/Jubilee combination regardless dial. Even twotone there is no stock fluted bezel/Jubilee combination except one shop. I boosted up to the shop and also could see twotone with smooth bezel/oyster combination for yellow gold. I could compare those 2 models very in detail. Finally I took the fluted/Jubilee/rose gold. I was really lucky to get this wimbledon and satisfaction is higher than my Sub! I really appreciate for your advice that lead me to make the right choice! You just had one more subscriber.
@@byungkookang657 Haha thats crazy! DJ41's seem to be really popular nowadays so delighted to hear that you got your hands on one! Congratulations and wear it in good health :-)
Love it as presented. I feel the fluted bezel with jubilee is too busy looking. I don't like the stick at the nine, but I can live with it. A gorgeous wrist watch. I need one badly.
2 questions: 1. Do you anticipate the Wimbledon dial will be discontinued in the future/Is this a limited production model? 2. Which model keeps its value and has a higher resale value: two tone or stainless steel? Thanks
1. Its possible, it has happened before with other dials. It is not limited per definition but as all stainless steel Rolex models it is limited supply 2. Steel has historically better resale value
@@ahmetkahraman26 I didn't get any offers for discounts from any AD except on a couple old stocks of two tone yachtmaster and day date 36 in cherry red dial at a 10% discount. I bought mine at 9,54,200-INR.
I think it's perfect the way it is, if you had another lume down the bottom In my opinion it would make the dial a little too cluttered. If it was to have the perfect balance, then you would need to replace the date window with another lume aswell as putting a lume down the bottom, and what's the point in having the Roman numerals if half of them are going to be replaced with lume! In my opinion that would throw the balance of the watch off more! The way the watch is laid out perfectly suits the style of the datejust. simple, elegant and with few key features but they pop perfectly on the dial and make something simple become beautiful:) just my opinion but I think rolex smashed it out the park with this and I love mine
@@IFLWatches thanks for the info, one last question, I just purchased a Datejust 41 ref: 126300 and noticed that when setting the time and spinning the crown up (clockwise) the hands move counterclockwise which is the opposite on my Datejust II. Is that normal? Guessing it’s a different movement?
I have this piece. Mine is in ever rose gold. I have a sky dweller with a yellow gold bezel on an oyster bracelet. One of 13 Rolex, 6 AP and a cartier. Sorry I had to show off lol.

Absolutely. It’s modern elegant and different . I like to match gold with blue suits and brown shoes . Do you think this dial with match that ?

Yellow gold is more masculine IMO
Yellow Gold
Collecting mine on Sunday, just before the New Year price rises fortunately
The two tone gold diamond dial is a also under rated, should be selling over list too
I bought the Everose on Oyster 6 months ago and I love it.....the only thing I'm surprised about is the size, I think it's a 40mm, not 41mm!
41mm includes the Crown. The case itself is 39mm.

Jubilee bracelet is better in the long run cause oyster gets scratches and jubilee because of the design doesn’t show much scratches
