Time flies indeed. It felt like MGS1 was released a decade ago while, in reality, it's been 22 years since it's release no less. Anyway, it's good to see the voice actors together reminiscing their work on this masterpiece of a series.
Maybe because Boss is just one of the greatest video game characters ever written and portrayed. She has such a presence and Lori's voice is so fitting.
He actually voices the Jedi Knight character in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and he uses his real voice. I didn’t realize it was him until like a couple hours in when he said a line and his voice dipped into that “Snake growl” and then it clicked.
He was originally going to use his own voice for Snake, but, after reading the script, he decided that someone so battle-weary, who had been pulled out of retirement, should sound more gravelly, and that turned into the Snake we know. Hayter talks about it toward the beginning of the interview.
"Snake. You know who that is?" "You're kidding, right? That's Mario." "Mario's first appearance was in 1981. Since then he's become a world-wide phenomenon. There's probably not a single person who doesn't know Mario. He's that famous." "Good thing I survived long enough to meet him the field of battle, huh?" "This is a once in a lifetime chance, Snake. Now go out there and show them what you're made of. No regrets." "Got it."
"He also attacks by farting, he can fart to fly around too." "By farting... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" "sadly no, I'm not kidding, if his belly starts to bulge, watch out!"
Jeff is a fan of the voice actors. He has worked with many of them over the years and I don't know for sure, but I believe that he may actually be their manager. So while the lore of MGS might elude him, he is always excited to hear Snake, Liquid, and so many others.

when david starting talking i thought it was christopher speaking, why does he sound like Otacon lol. I never knew they recorded their lines in the same room together, most game studios record everyone separately unless they're doing mocap work
This brought a tear to my eye. Christopher’s voice instantly brought back all those flashes of Otacon. All the cast. Such a memorable experience all the way. This series will forever by my favourite and close to my heart.
That would be cool. I remember that a few years ago two of the English dub Vegeta actors and the Japanese actor for Vegeta did a panel together. Maybe when the movie comes out, the Snakes can hold a panel together.
David is probably still a bit raw about how the recasting went down (understandably) and Kiefer has like zero interest in this franchise. I don't think that'll happen.
Omg this is awesome! **shed's a tear** EDIT: once again, omg, I started to cry when everyone said their lines from the game in the end of the video, Metal Gear Solid forever!!
Man, I remember back when I was a kid, will always try to impersonate all these character's voices, even the females. Some of my favorite voice cast', right next to the Cowboy Bebop voice cast.
This amazing group here is the reason why I felt in love with video games. No one has been able to duplicate the magic of the MGS cast. Thank you everyone.
And (t)here is me, a child that played the game so many times I could('ve) narrate(d) it word for word even after twenty three years. Those voice actors gave the game a breath of life, and a piece of that life will forever remain with me. With us, oh so many.
I smiled so big when Josh said "pretty good". This was awesome. Thank you so much host and David for this voice actor reunion of the greatest game of all time.
Josh doesn't know his own character LOL I get it he's a voice actor... But big boss suggested young ocelot use a revolver because he tends to twist his elbow to absorb the recoil

And it's good to see fellow fans again, aww this is re igniting my love for this
I don’t know why but when Lori said her closing quote I teared up just a little bit. I connect with Metal Gear Solid 3 the most of the entire series
Maybe because Boss is just one of the greatest video game characters ever written and portrayed. She has such a presence and Lori's voice is so fitting.
2:19 omg david hayter put his sneaking suit stealth camouflage on his shoulder
HAHAHAHAHA lol
Just remember a strong man doesn't need to read the future, he makes his own. -Solid Snake
I'm always shocked to hear David's real voice, it's so different to Snake's
He actually voices the Jedi Knight character in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and he uses his real voice. I didn’t realize it was him until like a couple hours in when he said a line and his voice dipped into that “Snake growl” and then it clicked.
Or when he was in Guyver 2 and Eternal Darkness. He didn't use his gruff voice
@@MigPlz91LivestreamOnly the “I want my life back!” Line. That’s when I realised he was Snake hh
He was originally going to use his own voice for Snake, but, after reading the script, he decided that someone so battle-weary, who had been pulled out of retirement, should sound more gravelly, and that turned into the Snake we know. Hayter talks about it toward the beginning of the interview.
Thanks to the cast for getting together and doing this. So much fun to hear you all again.
Too bad Quinton couldn't be there.
Probably after those allegations they didnt want to tie him with this
@@RZ_2K it's a shame too. Quinton is such a nice guy and so entertaining
@@RZ_2K what allegations?

Question for the cast: "Do you think love can bloom even on a battlefield?"
If you love someone, you have to be good at button-mashing
Josh Keaton is 41 but I swear to god that dude has looked like he's 21 for his entire career.
Was just thinking the same thing!

There is no escape!

"Snake. You know who that is?"
"You're kidding, right? That's Mario."
"Mario's first appearance was in 1981. Since then he's become a world-wide phenomenon. There's probably not a single person who doesn't know Mario. He's that famous."
"Good thing I survived long enough to meet him the field of battle, huh?"
"This is a once in a lifetime chance, Snake. Now go out there and show them what you're made of. No regrets."
"Got it."
Meat
“Kept you waiting, huh?”
"He also attacks by farting, he can fart to fly around too."
"By farting... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
"sadly no, I'm not kidding, if his belly starts to bulge, watch out!"
When the presenter calls it "Metal Gear R.E.X", you wonder if they're even a series fan.
Jeff is a fan of the voice actors. He has worked with many of them over the years and I don't know for sure, but I believe that he may actually be their manager. So while the lore of MGS might elude him, he is always excited to hear Snake, Liquid, and so many others.
He also said "Oh-ta-con" instead of "Ah-ta-con". He did a great job interviewing them regardless!
@@DannB_MTG Oh-ta-con is correct, its based on the word Otaku
@@dianalomeli4449 except the character himself and every other voiced character calls him Ah-ta-con throughout the entire series.
@@DannB_MTG just because everyone's wrong doesn't make it right xD i see your point tho
20:03 is such a Octagon Moment!!!!
Damn. This would've been a great opportunity for a Suzetta Miñet face reveal.

Love how the comments are just full of quotes haha
great how they mentioned how metal geear was a pioneer and changed the games industry and when they said the impowerment of female characters in the games meryl olga boss sniper wolf eva
Huh, this is...pretty good.
Facts:David and Jenniffer are both Legends
Solid Snake and Commander Shepard.
Both saved Earth
when david starting talking i thought it was christopher speaking, why does he sound like Otacon lol.
I never knew they recorded their lines in the same room together, most game studios record everyone separately unless they're doing mocap work
Two David's at the end? Guess you could call it Twin Snakes...
I'll see myself out
“If it was 2021, he’d probably be vaping” 😂
everyones eyes light up when Christopher says "hopefully we'll all have a chance to find out"
**"i'm watching you" gesture**
the Twin Snakes at the end were a nice touch
This brought a tear to my eye. Christopher’s voice instantly brought back all those flashes of Otacon. All the cast. Such a memorable experience all the way.
This series will forever by my favourite and close to my heart.
Whats wrong with ee
This is a dream come true seen our heroes again after 20 + years!
They are all great, but Lori Alan as The Boss is something that you can't recreate with a million actors. She is just perfect.
"Most people dont remember that Snake hid his cigarettes in his stomach"
Dont you dare tell me sir....
@Limits98 you never know.
Kept you waiting huh
I see you, Paul Eiding! Your Santa Clause camo wasn't eficient enough, only 60% camo index!
I know this is more for the nostalgia, but I'd like one of these where Kiefer is also in the group. A video with every Snake.
@@drewb2444 I know :(
Snake, do you like my sunglasses?
You’re pointing your weapon at your own brother?
@Limits98 So that I can manipulate you more easily.
@@timothywiltmontales7685 And you performed quite well, I must say. Though the boys at the Pentagon are probably saying the same thing.
What the hell are you talking about?
1:08:42 The best part. I got goosebumps when Robin, Lori and Tasia gave their performances. 🥰
The hour is so late darn it, it's like a 4 am sneaking mission
Did anyone notice the “twin snakes” aka two David Hayters. Lol
How does this have under 10k views? This is what every Metal Gear fan dreams of seeing
I remember Lori Alan was in Friends where Joey went to the waxing salon.
Omg this is awesome! **shed's a tear**
EDIT: once again, omg, I started to cry when everyone said their lines from the game in the end of the video, Metal Gear Solid forever!!
Mgs remake coming
@@paulsmith9192 it better not be an exclusive it needs to be in as many consoles and pc as possible and has to have this voice cast
✌️💜🙂
Man, I remember back when I was a kid, will always try to impersonate all these character's voices, even the females. Some of my favorite voice cast', right next to the Cowboy Bebop voice cast.
I second that 😎

I could listen to Otocan talk in my ear ALL DAY
"I've been waiting for this!"
Been waiting around 40 min for Colonel Roy Campbell to talk and whenever it comes RIP EARS when using headphones
This amazing group here is the reason why I felt in love with video games. No one has been able to duplicate the magic of the MGS cast. Thank you everyone.
Paul Eiding looks like the End with hair 😂😂😂.
I just have the biggest nerdgasm hearing these voices of my childhood united again
And (t)here is me, a child that played the game so many times I could('ve) narrate(d) it word for word even after twenty three years. Those voice actors gave the game a breath of life, and a piece of that life will forever remain with me. With us, oh so many.
They kept touching on “hopefully getting back together soon”. Wonder if Sony has reached out on a possible remake
I don't think it's gonna be possible due to FucKonami/Crapnami.
Konami had Sony remove PT from their stores. Their acting like a divorced wife who's still petty about their breakup.
You mean "another" possible remake?
Was that a remake? Or a remaster...?
@@kd8835 Twin Snakes? A full, faithful remake.
I love how Cam Clarke is as flamboyant as Liquid. Perfectly casted.
I smiled so big when Josh said "pretty good". This was awesome. Thank you so much host and David for this voice actor reunion of the greatest game of all time.
Lori's voice makes me want to cry all over again!
Every single one of these actors did a superb job voicing these characters. It made me so glad to see them all together.
Josh doesn't know his own character LOL I get it he's a voice actor... But big boss suggested young ocelot use a revolver because he tends to twist his elbow to absorb the recoil
Even though I don’t know these people personally, I love them all.
“You’re pretty fucking good.” -Colonel Campbell
Thank you to all involved for taking the time to do this. This series means so much to me, and you are all such wonderfully talented people! I hope that panels like this can enlighten the "bastards with the money" to handle the MGS franchise with respect moving forward.
IS THAT THE LEGENDARY DAVID HAYTER? Oh man, I was so in to MGS in the past.
