I used to play an electric violin for my church band, and would use my acoustic just for high school orchestra. Later on I would have to switch back to acoustic and honestly I could never go back to electric. One quick string change made me love playing the violin after such a long time; and now that I’m a violin teacher, it’s become essential for me to keep at it

No you just need a fitting shoulder pad or however that's called in english. A violin should always be comfortable to play.

@@RockStarOscarStern634Ah thanks. I'm not a fan of these specifically made ones tho as long as there aren't multiple different versions. I have a classical violin and i played multiple ones in my life and i always had the problem that the standard shoulder rests were super uncomfortable for me so it was quite important to have a bit of a range to pick from. (on the other hand if electric ones are all quite unique in their own way there will always be one design that fits i guess)
But i don't see how a "normal" violin would be less comfortable

Some Electric Violins have frets added to them to facilitate good technique for the left hand such as the Fretted Viper.

They do make Fractional Sized Electric Violins (Vector & Shar Plug and Play etc) for beginners cause the Ergonomic shape of the Electric Violin maes it easier to get a good sound. It would be cooler if they made Acoustic Violins that feel more like an Electric Violin so that way it's easier to Rock out in an unplugged setting.

I prefer acoustic.. and even, if need practice at night in appartement, exists mutes - like metalic with rubber on it, so nobody is disturbed in deep nights. In electric you must not have precise technique as on acoustic. For example, even not clear bowing, shifted to back or right will produce sound. Also higher harmonical sound - sound is comming from resonanting not only from bridge, but also body, interaction between strings. One pickup will not substitute is. also best electric (and expensive), has several piezo sensors.. But, if certain time electronic is broken, and is not even produced, throw it away? Acoustic could be repaired and could play whole life...

But that is impossible with acoustic violin. I played my acoustic violin for 10+ years ($250 violin bought around 1970's) and hated how my acoustic violin sounds.
