    I’ve learned a lot about sleeping in my lifetime. One thing I can tell you about poor quality sleep… especially when people wake up easily… is that you are not doing enough physical activity to “wear yourself out”. Every day you should increase your physical activity load by 15 minute increments until you find yourself being able to sleep a full 8 hours with minimal interruption. It will improve your life tremendously. This really affects truck drivers because they feel mentally exhausted from the stress of driving but their bodies have not actually burned calories to help support that quality sleep.

    I bought an EcoFlow Wave 2 two weeks ago and I have a hard time cooling my truck since I don’t put the shades up and it takes power through the inverter which generates heat when running the ac. The battery pack is on back order so for now I hook the ac to some spare 12v batteries I also set the vent to the sleeper window so I don’t need to set the tubes up every time I use it I just slide the window and that’s it. I am planning to upgrade the battery bank to extend the run time and hope it runs cooler when the battery pack arrives too

    • @TruckingTogether
      @TruckingTogether  3 месяца назад

      I don’t know anything on those units but did see some reviews saying the cooling isn’t great out of them, hopefully you can get it figured out and working for you! I don’t know if they offer a money back but maybe look into that if it’s not working out.

      @@TruckingTogether yea wish I knew before buying it. EcoFlow is in power station business and they have a pretty good ad campaign that’s why I got sucked into buying their product even though the heat pump is useless for us we all have bunk heaters in our trucks for cold weather. Anyways I hope when I get my lithium battery pack built and put in I can run the ac on max power for 34 hours or longer

    How about the heat in Vegas and Phoenix? We’re running between 110 and 120 right now.

    • @TruckingTogether
      @TruckingTogether  2 месяца назад +1

      really depends. Are you wanting to use during the day or night? I was using it 100+ in Idaho the other week during the day, I had to close off the sleeper space and it was working keeping the sleeper in the mid 70’s for temperature (not as cold as idling can get though) but as soon as I opened the curtains and the heat from the front came back there it was game over so I had to idle to get it down to a temp it could work with again.
      It’s a small unit that works very well in most cases but you have to remember it’s not going to make a sleeper be in the 50’s-60’s in daylight with extreme temperatures. At night it works really well, it’s just hard when that direct sun is beating down for it to keep up

    I'll just keep my trusty Green APU. I had Thermo King in the past, worst experience and thousands spent on worn out equipment that wasn't worth repairing. You need Thermo King's software to troubleshoot, completely ridiculous. The motherboard is about $2,000, wiring is way over complicated, all the power to run and control the unit runs through the motherboard, Yanmar engines are meh. I'm a over the road driver that stays out for months at a time, Green APU works best for me. It appears the software tool is free for Tripac
    Green btu output on heat/ac is 26k, others are about half. You get what you pay for nowadays. That's my experience with a Thermo King APU✌️
