Pardons issued by an ex-president convicted of a federal crime, should be immediately suspended pending a full review and ratification by the serving president. Any pardon not ratified should then be terminated and the original charge/sentence should stand!

Ratification is only required for AMENDMENTS to the US Constitution, the Presidential 'Pardoning Authority' has no limits in the Constitution and to get the country to do that, as DIVIDED as we are, would be an insurmountable task. What we need are 'Congressional restrictions' that require the President to follow ESTABLISHED guidelines for issuing 'Pardons' & legally preventing them from _pardoning themselves_ going forward. I think that the 'Supreme Court' could rule that _the 'Founders' didn't INTEND for that _*_Power_*_ to be so UNCONDITIONAL as to allow TRAITORS to go 'Scot Free!'_ (Not that we are sure THIS court would do that, lol!)
An important aspect of this case to remember is that tRUMP's not being indicted for the documents he returned, only for the ones he tried to keep. When tRUMP says what about Pence?, What about Biden? Well, what about the fact that they returned their docs without hesitation? tRUMP's being treated exactly the same way by not being indicted for the docs that he returned..
Not one ounce of trust for fed law or Dems. They have committed so many crimes how can anyone trust any of them.

🦆The biggest giveaway that this is pure politics (we knew that anyways), is that this is all about presidential records. But the entire indictment doesn't mention the Presidential Records Act. It doesn't, because the PRA gives strong authority to the President. The PRA does that, because otherwise it would be unconstitutional. The president is given powers in the constitution; the Nat. Archives is not. Before 1978, a president leaving would just take all of their documents, and it was their property to do as the please with. The PRA was passed because of Watergate and is primarily to prevent an ex-president from destroying official records. And Trump has not destroyed anything.

Bill Barr has a long history of playing a main role in covering up nefarious unscrupulous crimes. He doesn't mind at all as long as he doesn't find himself inside a prison cell. That's why he walked away from Trump late December 2020...he undoubtedly was aware of Donald's (with many others participating) intention to stay in power regardless of losing the election. Barr bailed BEFORE he could be implicated in the January 6th coup to overthrow the United States government and the will of the American people.

I'm not a government employee, but it seems to me that had something happened to cause the DoD, for example, to need the information in those documents, that could have been a serious problem, being the documents were hidden at Mara Lago
Possible, but I think the National Archivist reported Trump checked out these documents but never returned them. Kinda like library books, but different. 😮

I'm a little out of touch with how civics is taught in middle school, so, forgive me for making this suggestion to every teacher in this "once great country": Make it mandatory reading as part of the curriculum. The "it" I speak of is the indictment (the most recent). This indictment, as short as it is, is very entertaining. I'm sorry to put it that way because this is deadly serious stuff, but this is, what is referred to as a speaking indictment. And I gotta tell you, it should be required reading in schools all across the country...the kids will love it.

Having worked in information management in a government department I learnt how to check and archive files and documents in boxes to be moved onto a temporary storage facility or eventually moved to a state archives. The boxes should have had a sticker indicating what the box held, the dates covered.Inside the box would be a list of what was held in the box and include an electronic copy in the database. If someone wanted an item if they held the authority a note would be made in the computer notes field as to who currently held the document. Did Trump's name appear in the movement history when he retrieved a document. When those documents strewn on the floor were reboxed were they correctly placed in the box they came from . If placed in an incorrect box they might never be found unless you went through every box.
