- Ever since releasing Let Me Hear, Unravel was the obvious next choice. The instruments, in particular the bass part, in this song are very intricate, so Jun and I knew this cover called for a full band performance. I've never seen a westerner with this good Japanese pronunciation. You are not only talented in music but also in language, I think.
Oh wow thank you! That really does mean a lot since I have absolutely no idea what any of the words mean :D I do speak portuguese and according to a family friend who's married to a Japanese man and is fluent in japanese as well, the sounds from portuguese transfer over very well to Japanese. And since I'm canadian I speak french but with a bad accent, cause the sounds from portuguese transfer over poorly to french, so it doesn't sound right there! So I think it's just a lucky combination of sounds :)

Being Portuguese myself, as Victor said, Portuguese is one of the best languages to have as a basis for learning most other languages in the world due to the variety of sounds present within.
It's something my English friends have picked up on as I'm able to mimic someone else's accent and pronunciation easily. That being said, however, a lot of it falls on personal talent as well and Victor has plenty of that. Studying English and Japanese around other Portuguese people, I've seen a full spectrum-- People with accents as horrible as a russian gopnik and people with pristine accents that they can seemingly change on the fly.
On a personal note, I've gotten in trouble with a British friend before because, by spending so much time with him, I started picking up his accent and he thought I was mocking him.
Aside from being doctor, teacher, plumber, delivery boy, etc.... He's also an excellent singer😂😂

This cover is even powerful than the original. Usually some parts are falsetto but because of your vocal range you can reach those notes by belting. sheeeesh
After listening consistently to you sing/Scream Let Me Hear my mind was just blown on how good it was for someone who self taught them selves vocals it is truly a blessing to hear not only Let Me Hear but i also get to enjoy this Masterpiece i would love more Scream types of songs because you do it very well

I know a lot of people love this OP song. I never really got into it. But as a fan of the Devil May Cry games and its soundtrack, I couldn’t get enough from Bury The Light. I had to hear more from this very talented man, and then I gave this song another try.... and holy crap! I’m sorry, but in my humble opinion, this is way better than the first one. Definitely buying your cover album on iTunes, keep up the great work Mr. Borba!
