True, when I see a olympian that takes a medal, a tear or two comes from my eye even if he/she isnt somebody from my country. That music and feeling makes many people cry. These Olympic games gave me Motivation to start doing any sport. When I return from my Holliday i want to train athletic. Maybe discus throw or even jumping with this huge stick.

But man, I'm gonna tell you, when I first heard this theme with one of the athletes that I support winning a medal, I low-key cried while the ceremony was going. Naoki Sato (the composer) had stated in an article that composing music for an Olympic victory ceremony was a new experience for him, and for this soundtrack, he decided not to employ any distinctly Japanese elements in his piece, adding that victory ceremonies are for athletes from around the world and he wanted them - regardless of where they are from - to feel at ease when rising to the podium. The music was recorded by a total of 144 performers who represent Japan's top-class studio musicians and leading orchestras.

I wasn't even born when Italy set the record for most medals in 1984. It is so incredible to have seen Italians winning 40 medals, and all in the same Summer where the football team won the Euros and an Italian was in the Wimbledon final. That is much more than one would have expected
