Excellent work! Solidworks tutorial videos are notorious for their poor production quality and are typically difficult to follow or understand. I've never left a comment on RUclips since its inception but I felt the need to commend you for your efforts here (both content and quality). Thank you.
Awesome video, creative way of going about this, and I learned about a whole new set of features. One minor issue I did have is that my spring doesn't automatically change length when I move the piston. The mates are all in place and it moves between its range, but in order to make the spring fit back to the new location of the planes I have to actively rebuild the model. Is there a way to make it rebuild automatically the way yours does? I am running SW 2016x64 Edit: 64 bit
Thanks for watching! If you are just moving the components around, that will require a rebuild. The mate controller in this example updates the assembly for you. Another nice benefit of using the mate controller!
Excellent tutorial! Been looking for a tutorial like this for a while now..thanks man
Glad it helped!
Best I've see yet, thankyou
Glad it was helpful!

is it possible to animate a spiral spring like the ones of the clock mechanism? can you make a tutorial if so?
Hi, I'm new in Solidworks. Where can I download the assembly or all the parts? Could you help me, please?
