One of the most remarkable videos and narratives I have ever seen. What an incredibly amazing and historic place. My first cousin from Boston, Massachusetts rode up this route 25 or so years ago. I doubt I'll ever have the chance to do so, but your video allows me to travel there vicariously. What a shame they have not been able to complete the railway. Doing so, and making it electrified, would allow them to put many of those trucks on the trains and more efficiently and productively get them over the pass.

Very very amazing and beautiful Pakistan, you did a fantastic great exploration of Khyber ghat roads. It was tempting to visit, and to make international tourists attractions by the investors, but it may not possible because of militants and unrest.

I thought that it would be a religous rant by a Pakistani but it's was a very good and mostly correct analysis
I as an history lover knows very very much that this pass is like a small window to a fortress that is indian subcontinet ( surrounded on all sides by mountains and the sea like Himalayas arkan range Suleman hindukush etc )
Basically to defend indian subcontinet as a whole one needs to only control this pass as it is only pass that large army can march through ( although Nader shah marched around it with a small force and tricked the Mughals who were gaurding it by striking them from behind )
It is truly historical from achemineds to mauryans to British

Great video and excellent commentary. Thanks for sharing. As a Hindu Punjabi of Indian origin and ardent enthusiast of Indian history, it's fascinating to learn about this passageway that has so much historical significance for the subcontinent as the marauders and plunderers came through it. The government should organize a tour for tourists on the Khyber Pass; it would be amazing...Just an idea: if possible, perhaps one day you can make the same video but travel from the Afghan border to Landi Kotal (so basically, the other way around on the Khyber Pass). This would give some idea of how it all looked to the people who came during the invasions, etc.
