I have lived in many places and visited many states and countries around the world, but Alaska is the only place that has ever felt like home. That is why my wife and I chose to settle and start our family here. Alaska is a place filled with truly wild and untouched nature, incredible wildlife, giant mountains, glaciers, and much more. So it was natural for me to try to create an origami version of the state flag.
This flag was designed by me and folded from a 30 inch square of triple tissue. The stars were folded using a technique created by Gilad Aharoni which he used to fold flags from different countries. He was kind enough to email me the diagrams for his Turkey flag that incorporated the technique which I applied to each of the flaps for the base I designed to create this flag. - Хобби
