It probably does because they must have tried to match the defendants sound. Plus descendants and hsm were both directed by Kenny Ortega. So both movies have some similar aspects and sounds.

I'd really rather not. Decendants is okay as it's own thing, but Villain's Lair is based on the animated films. The aesthetics would clash horribly. Unless they redesigned literally all the VKs to look like more traditional fairy tale characters.
